Hi, I went to this hotel, but the smell in the building was really bad, and the blanket was not clean — it had yellow and red stains. Cleanliness is very important. Thanks 😊

There was bedbugs in the room. I am too shocked and disgusted at this point.

Decent hotel for a night. good price. Pool and gym is small but useful

Tuvimos un problema con la limpieza de la habitación al llegar, solicitamos cambiar de habitación pero no nos lo pudieron ofrecer. El personal intentó solucionar el problema en el momento aunque no nos quedamos muy contentos.

Points négatifs: Personnel tres froid, ne donne pas toutes les infos qu'il faut. Hôtel pas tres propre, la chambre était petite , la piscine sale. La moquette est très vieille. Points positifs : Literie confortable Petit déjeuner correct

Great experience friendly staff very clean rooms swimming pool, continental breakfast. Close to all amenities shopping, buses, Go train gas.

Great little highway hotel. Good for a quick safe night. Bed are comfortable and a/c was cold. Room was overall clean. Paid 108$ a night so really can’t complain at that price .

3 of us were in town for a squash tournament from January 31st to February 1st and booked 2 rooms at Super 8 Ajax/Pickering as it was cheap and close to the squash club. We read the mostly bad reviews and figured it couldn’t be that bad, and unfortunately it turned out to be worse. Checking in was fine, but when we got to our room it was as cold as it was outside and the heater didn’t work, but there was an unplugged NOMA space heater in the corner which turned out to be the only heat source. Our room wasn’t cleaned the first night so the person I was staying with went to the front desk to request clean towels, and there was nobody there. He went to the pool to see if there were any towels and there weren’t, so he went looking for someone to assist and walked by the laundry room that had plenty of towels and grabbed a couple. As soon as he got back to the room the phone rang, and it was Roz from the front desk calling who said he was calling the police unless we immediately left the hotel as he had him on camera stealing towels. He went to the desk to explain the situation and Roz demanded that if I didn’t go to the desk because the room was in my name we would have to leave. When I got there, he was yelling that he had evidence of towel stealing and that if we didn’t like the rules, we were free to leave without a refund. We stayed and it didn’t get much better, as there was a domestic dispute that went on for hours in the middle of the night and there was no security in sight. The breakfast only included bread, cereal and waffles, and the owner hovers around to make sure nobody takes anything back to their room, which I can’t see anyone doing. If you are reading this don’t do what we did and figure that it can’t be that bad because it is. Super 8 should be embarrassed to have this hotel under their umbrella. Do yourself a favor and stay under a bridge as it would be just as good, or even better spend the extra $50/night and stay at the nearby Pickering casino like others in our group did.

Nice staff, great room and the pool was just what I needed. We were 4 in our group and the clerk was happy to give us extra towels for showering and swimming. It’s a perfect location for anyone that spends a night in Toronto but wants to head east the following day and avoiding traffic.

Great location for visits to wonderland and the zoo. Hyundai dealer next door very nice and allowed us to charge electric car. Hotel pool was nice for the kids. Great value place to stay for a family not wanting to spend twice as much in the city.

Don’t stay here if at all possible. Poor cleanliness, many items in room do not work. Rooms run down. Very poor hvac. Inconsistent maid service. Very loud, people roaming halls at all hours. I wonder if hotel is being used for homeless or as a hostel.

The staff were very nice and friendly. Rooms were clean, breakfast was always wonderful. They were always making you you were okay and just wanted to do everything to make you stay as nice and comfortable as possible. The guy in the breakfast room was so nice and friendly.

My stay with Super 8 / Ajax was good, polite and professional staff. The room was a suite with a king bed, big walk-in shower, two huge TVs, coffee table, sofa & more. Everything was modern, very clean and all at a great value. Ps: Motel is located really close to the Pickering Casino. : )) David D. Barrie, Ontario

This hotel needs a makeover. It looks dated and weathered. Chips and scratches on room doors, and residue and dirt on walls…. The queen beds were uneven, and one of them was listing. Only 2 pillows were provided per bed and all pillows were flat and uncomfortable to rest your head on. The clerks at the front desk speak to each other in a different language in front of customers while they are serving them, which is serious customer service no no….elevator is old, rickety and slow. I can take the stairs quicker to the 4th floor than the elevator can…have to run the shower for 5 minutes until hot water comes out….not good…the breakfast is lame…. Only toast, waffles, boiled eggs that are ice cold, pastries , stale cereal and apples. For the price we paid for this place, I was expecting something half decent. The front desk staff was at least courteous., so for that , they get some stars.
