They are very welcoming, and the reception staff was awesome. They accept international visa card. Every floor have a nice balcony for gossiping, eating coffee and smoking. With this budget, best hotel.
My room was 404.
Problems:
1. The telephone was not dead.
2. Curtains are very thin so in the morning you can't sleep in the sunlight.
3. The doors and windows are very old, that's why if someone is talking outside of the room you will hear everything and maybe they also hear you.
4. They just provide tissue and soap, they didn’t provide toothbrush, toothpaste, or shampoo. So if you booked this hotel keep this with you.
5. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you don't like the stairs, is it not for you and you can talk to the hotel before booking for the 2nd floors room.
We have had an incredible stay at Holiday Hostel from start to finish, staff are great in many ways from welcoming us into the hostel to spending a lot of time with helping us to plan our months stay in Nepal. We have arranged and booked the ABC treck, Chitwan safari (prices were good compared to other companies we found) and volunteering at Maya Unviverse, a place we hadn’t heard of before coming to Nepal and thanks to Madam we had a fantastic time living and helping out with the kids and the school.
Location is great, there is a really nice rooftop bar that serves great food and drinks, make sure to try the most delicious milk tea!
Rooms are great, comfy and quite considering how busy Thamal road can get. We stayed here twice, both at the beginning and at the end of our trip in both the dorms and private room and both options are clean and comfy. We even kept some of our luggage at the hostel for around 3 weeks while we went and explored Nepal and collected it at the end with no issues at all. We also received a very thoughtful gift from Holiday hostel for completing the ABC treck, such a nice gesture. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again if ever back in Katmandu.
Come in and go uphill and then downhill and turn right. It’s not good to drag the box.
The room is very hot during the day, it is cool outside, come back at the end of October next time, the bathroom is on the first floor, clean
The landlord is warm and friendly, the family lives here
There is a small yard, there is a balcony, there is a blue bucket to soak clothes to dry haha
Walk straight down the road to the end of the Duba Square
The boss has a variety of tourist information, went to the bus in Pokhara, and sent me to the bus station, very close
Everyone can book, our software is prepaid, the boss may not know, but I let him take a photo!
The location of this youth hostel is very good. It is on the northwest edge of the downtown area of Thamel. It takes only three minutes to walk into the Thamel area. In addition, the boarding point for the bus to Pokhara is also near the north of the hostel, which is only a three-minute walk away.
The environmental hygiene of this youth hostel is maintained all day long. The beds and quilts are thick and warm. They are very comfortable to lie on and cover. It feels like home (the air conditioning is also very strong) and is more comfortable than other youth hostels. Each bed also has curtains to protect privacy, as well as international charging sockets and lights. Each bunk has its own locked storage space (a deposit is required for the key).
The public bathroom facilities are very clean and are available on all floors. They are always cleaned, but it also depends on the character and ethics of other residents. The hot water is a little too warm, so it's not warm enough for washing in the middle of the night. There is no laundry station or clothes drying area for guests to use. It is best to bring your own hangers or have them washed directly.
The counter is staffed 24 hours a day. Another feature is that the public space here is particularly comfortable and spacious. The independent restaurants on the first to third floors and the landscape restaurant on the top floor provide excellent rest and social space, and provide quite high-quality catering services. The only problem is that spending money here is not cheap.
This place also provides hiking planning services and a simple mountaineering clothing store.
I was in Nepal for a long time, so I was really happy to find a hotel at this price. The owner was very nice and the service was good. They also helped us get a taxi when we went out. The breakfast was good and you had to pay for it separately. I will stay in this hotel again next time. The hot water is very helpful. Qiang Lei recommends this hotel

It's a little bit of a walk from the Thamel area and in a secluded location, but it wasn't inconvenient for sightseeing.
I stayed in a 6-person dormitory on the top floor, and the shower toilet was clean and acceptable.
There was also toilet paper provided, so I think this hostel is within the acceptable range for Japanese people.
There is no elevator, so it is a bit difficult to go up and down, but other than that it was a comfortable hostel.
The owner was able to communicate in English via Whatsapp and was quick to respond to various questions and tour requests.
I organized a half-day hiking tour of Nagarkot, which included a guide and car for about 17,000 Nepalese rupees.
We read comments from other guests and we started to book 2 nights at Hostel de Ajeet. It was a good decision, no doubt, because we stayed 6 nights finally. The building is clean and built a couple of years ago. The giant bed and has a hot water shower. Being there is also sharing with your family, because they reigned the local in a very close way. It is 200 metres from the Monkey Temple and the National Museum.

EEomondIt is a new hotel. The room service is super good which the air con have warm air and the bathroom have hot water. The staffs are friendly and kind. They are willing to provide all the help that I need. Also, the location is very convenient since it is in the Thamel market.
GGuest UserClean rooms with clean bathrooms. Great location. Very simple but just what you need in this vibrant city where you are out all day. Would come back to stay

CCO518After a long time of searching, I found this newly opened hotel. The breakfast is very delicious, and most importantly, it is very close to the pagoda. You can see the pagoda from the roof, which is very solemn. The room facilities are very clean and in place, and the bathroom is very new. Hot water is available all day long, so you don't have to worry about not having a hot shower. There are floor-to-ceiling windows with views, so I chose to stay here for a few more days. The boss is very helpful and is very willing to recommend the surrounding tourist attractions, and he also acts as a guide. If he leads you, it saves time, effort and money. Choosing to stay at Little Buddha can save time and money in all aspects. The stone slabs in front of the door are very comfortable to walk on. Friends who have stayed in other hotels have praised it very much. I will still book this hotel next time.
