A decent guesthouse with comfy beds and spacious showers. There's a little kitchenette in the luggage/common area.
Downsides are the 4pm check-in, which is a bit late and the sleeping cubes. The beds are comfortable and there's plenty of room, but the top beds have an open top. So the noise of anyone moving/snoring or people using the lights is completely unavoidable. The first night was no good because of these factors.
Other than that, the location is good and everything is clean and tidy.

The floor space of the six-person room is very small. You can only spread out two suitcases at most. Basically, they have to be put up so as not to hinder everyone's movement. It is inconvenient for people with large luggage to sort it out. In addition, Other than that, it’s great and suitable for people who travel lightly.
The bed was full and I slept well. After ten o'clock in the morning it was cleaning time. After a day of playing, the floor and bathroom were very clean.

The boss is very nice, and everyone has a strong sense of boundaries, but is also very friendly. The location is also very good, close to the train station, subway station, and Sanjusangendo. Hope I have a chance to go again! !

This B&B is not run by Kyoto people, but seems to be run by Indians, but the service is super good 👍, very welcoming, convenient transportation, and the Railway Museum and Umekoji Park are only a 5-minute walk away. It is a good travel experience and I will choose it next time

It is not far from Kyoto Station and the nearby traffic is also convenient. The host is a very welcoming young man who speaks Chinese very well! Sleeping comfortably on tatami mats, and the shower and toilet are clean. Very affordable, worth having, haha! I will stay again next time!

For a solo trip, I recommend it.
Well located, close to the bus and a few minutes' walk from the metro.
However, if you need someone at reception, there's no one there from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Despite the fact that it’s a hostel, it’s very cozy and there is some feeling of private space in a capsule itself. Location is just superb. You can work in common space. Very clean place and good service. There are enough showers and toilets to not wait in queues. It would be nice if the guests who are sick would wear masks in common spaces, but it’s nothing to do with the hostel itself.

Walking close to the attractions, there are supermarkets nearby, convenient supermarkets, take time to find. Pure self-check in, not receiving the check-in email is a very troublesome thing (not the email of the reservation website), fortunately there are other accommodation passengers to assist, otherwise no one can be found, deduct the accidental episode, the hotel price is very affordable.
The owner is friendly and the facilities are ok. Private locker is paid and there is no TV instead. It's also an advantage to see the owner only when I first greeted and even check out is unmanned. Recommended during off-season. You can use a four-person room alone. The location is a bit out of the way because it is Uji, but it is not too far from Kyoto Station.

The location was great because Kiyomizu Ji Temple, Kodai Ji Temple and Kennin Ji Temple were very close and I could walk from the morning!
The room is very fashionable and recommended for couples.
However, there is a difficulty, the wall is very thin, and the conversation in the next room can be heard clearly.
As for amenities, you need to buy or bring in because there are no toothbrushes, hand soaps, pajamas, etc.
It is very satisfying to see it as a private room dormitory!
However, I thought that I wanted a laundry space if I treated the dormitory, and the facilities are this evaluation.

SSJBNDIt was compact and had the bare minimum.
There was a drink bar on the first floor, but I wasn't informed of it...
There were no pajamas in the room, so you had to ask for one on the first floor. They were free to borrow, so don't worry ^ ^
There was no water either, so you had to get some at a nearby convenience store. There was also a supermarket on the main street.

GGuest UserAlthough it’s a bit far to the Kyoto train station, if you know how to take the bus, there are 3 bus stops + 1 Shijouoomiya train station which are really closed to this hotel (only 6 to 10 mins walk), which can lead you to anywhere of the tourist spots !! 👍🏻 hotel located in a quiet street which gives you a well sleep at night. 😴The hostel of this hotel are helpful, they helped us to return our kimono via the local post since we are rush in time to travel around. 📤 They replied the email daily and fast, at the first day we couldn’t find their reception to check in (Just found out it’s a self check system that they had already sent you a password to your email earlier). 📧 They helped us to take care of our luggage after we check out our room, as we were going to nearby spots after the living. All the facilities and equipment are clean, you can tell they had mopped the floor, clean anywhere of the kitchen, restroom and sleeping room all the way around and leaving with no dust. 🪣👍🏻 my conclusion is, I will definitely come back to book their hotels, their signature brand “Risshisha”, next time when I come back to travel again. Once again, thank you for your 5 stars services !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
茶茶碗蒸しさくらThis was my first time at a capsule hotel, and I stayed in a women-only area for two nights.
Overall, it was a very clean hotel.
The bath amenities were plentiful, and cleansing and facial cleanser were provided so I didn't need to bring anything with me.
The hotel was also in a good location, right outside the entertainment district and with drugstores and convenience stores nearby.
However, the partitions at the entrances to each room were curtains that could be rolled down so I could hear footsteps and such, which woke me up when I was having a light sleep. But more than that, I was very satisfied with the service, including the bathtub and cleanliness, so I would like to use it again.
HHuanlvbubuxingThe hotel is close to tourist attractions, which is very convenient and can save a lot of time. Although the bathroom and shower room are a bit small, they are just right for use.
The hotel is relatively clean, and the service staff can communicate in English and use translation software.
The hotel has a small public space, which provides a small kitchen and table for guests staying in the hotel. If necessary, you can buy ingredients and cook your own meals.
People can communicate together and inadvertently provide each other with a lot of information, which makes it convenient for sightseeing.
GGuest UserIt's similar to a Japanese economy hotel. It's quite small. It's very close to JR Nijo Station, and you can see it when you get out of the station. It is also very close to the subway station. There is a bakery, restaurant, and convenience store at the door, which is super convenient. This station is also beautiful, with cherry trees at the entrance of the station. Close to Nijo Castle, about 10 minutes on foot to Nijo Castle.
GGuest UserThe place has an excelente location, easy to get there. The room was cleaned and organized. However, there is no person at the front desk to ask questions or ask for help. The code for entering to the room was sent by SMS, but since we were traveling the service for SMS of our phone company does not work outside our country, so we did not receive the message since we were traveling. They do not have an e-mail address, so the check in instructions could not be send there. When we arrived to the place was late and we found the front desk empty even though we still arrived in the front desk service hours. We had a hard time contacting the hotel but luckily could get some help in calling the administration to get our room number and the code.

GGuest UserThis was such a nice hotel! Everything was perfectly clean, and I felt very comfortable during my stay. I think this is the nicest place I have stayed in recently. I was glad that everything was clean and well-organized. They tell you everything you need to know in a little folder in your room. They also answered my questions very quickly and kindly.
The best parts for me were that the heating and water heater worked, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and they explained everything I was curious about in detail in the folder, on signs, or in email communications. One thing I didn't know until I got here is that there is a shared microwave, which is nice when you get food from the convenience store.
GGuest UserMy mother and I had a very comfy stay at this traditional Kyoto home in a residential area (FYI, the private rooms are on the upper floor. The staircase will be very treacherous.) The team was great and explained everything in detail. I appreciated that they took my mother's suitcase up as I followed behind. I liked the local neighborhood feeling compared to the buzzy central area, but you will need to take a bus from across the street to get anywhere before hopping on any train. Btw there was no shortage of places to eat in the neighborhood. (The 93 bus is convenient from the hostel because it will drop you off at the entrance of the Arashiyama bamboo grove.) I would stay at this location again.
