A very clean and organised accommodation. The dorms were nice, with curtains over our beds, which increased our privacy. Free large lockers in the rooms, requiring your own lock. There wasn't a lot of space for baggage, especially suitcases. Free green tea in the shared common area. Not a very social hostel. Staff were friendly however their English was limited. Be aware that all accommodation in Kyoto has a tourist tax, so you will be charged more when you arrive. There was multiple stations within walking distance (500m to 1km).

The Japanese tatami room is very tidy, and the kitchen has hot water and tea bags. The front desk also lent me a charging cable with an old-fashioned interface. Thank you🙏
The room I stayed in was on the 4th floor, so it was difficult to move my luggage. However, the lady at the front desk helped me move it when I went upstairs. It was still a bit difficult to move it by myself.
When I checked in, I was charged an additional tax of 400 yen for two nights. This is the only one of the four hotels I stayed in in Japan that had additional charges. The other hotel I stayed in Kyoto did not charge additional fees. I'm a little weird, but there's nothing I can do about other people's territory.

This hotel is really great and very-very clean. The things is I booked the hotel during Golden Week, so it got crowded but still having a nice stay. Kyoto Station is within 5 mins walks. The kitchen and public spaces really good and nice plus it has rooftop area which you can view the surrounding street from above. Things that I think can be improves are; should added more space in the cabin for bag and things, the lights inside the cabin was to bright and unadjustable. But overall great hostel with great service, accomodation and location. I do really want to have another stay here if I ever visit Kyoto again. But maybe will be upgrade to single room, hehe.
The owner is friendly and the facilities are ok. Private locker is paid and there is no TV instead. It's also an advantage to see the owner only when I first greeted and even check out is unmanned. Recommended during off-season. You can use a four-person room alone. The location is a bit out of the way because it is Uji, but it is not too far from Kyoto Station.

For a solo trip, I recommend it.
Well located, close to the bus and a few minutes' walk from the metro.
However, if you need someone at reception, there's no one there from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.

The hotel is close to tourist attractions, which is very convenient and can save a lot of time. Although the bathroom and shower room are a bit small, they are just right for use.
The hotel is relatively clean, and the service staff can communicate in English and use translation software.
The hotel has a small public space, which provides a small kitchen and table for guests staying in the hotel. If necessary, you can buy ingredients and cook your own meals.
People can communicate together and inadvertently provide each other with a lot of information, which makes it convenient for sightseeing.

It is not far from Kyoto Station and the nearby traffic is also convenient. The host is a very welcoming young man who speaks Chinese very well! Sleeping comfortably on tatami mats, and the shower and toilet are clean. Very affordable, worth having, haha! I will stay again next time!

I have never had a better experience. The place was incredibly welcoming and spotless. I would definitely go again. They even ran to the train station to bring us a small sock we had forgotten. Thank you so, so much!

SSJBNDIt was compact and had the bare minimum.
There was a drink bar on the first floor, but I wasn't informed of it...
There were no pajamas in the room, so you had to ask for one on the first floor. They were free to borrow, so don't worry ^ ^
There was no water either, so you had to get some at a nearby convenience store. There was also a supermarket on the main street.
GGuest UserAlthough it’s a bit far to the Kyoto train station, if you know how to take the bus, there are 3 bus stops + 1 Shijouoomiya train station which are really closed to this hotel (only 6 to 10 mins walk), which can lead you to anywhere of the tourist spots !! 👍🏻 hotel located in a quiet street which gives you a well sleep at night. 😴The hostel of this hotel are helpful, they helped us to return our kimono via the local post since we are rush in time to travel around. 📤 They replied the email daily and fast, at the first day we couldn’t find their reception to check in (Just found out it’s a self check system that they had already sent you a password to your email earlier). 📧 They helped us to take care of our luggage after we check out our room, as we were going to nearby spots after the living. All the facilities and equipment are clean, you can tell they had mopped the floor, clean anywhere of the kitchen, restroom and sleeping room all the way around and leaving with no dust. 🪣👍🏻 my conclusion is, I will definitely come back to book their hotels, their signature brand “Risshisha”, next time when I come back to travel again. Once again, thank you for your 5 stars services !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
茶茶碗蒸しさくらThis was my first time at a capsule hotel, and I stayed in a women-only area for two nights.
Overall, it was a very clean hotel.
The bath amenities were plentiful, and cleansing and facial cleanser were provided so I didn't need to bring anything with me.
The hotel was also in a good location, right outside the entertainment district and with drugstores and convenience stores nearby.
However, the partitions at the entrances to each room were curtains that could be rolled down so I could hear footsteps and such, which woke me up when I was having a light sleep. But more than that, I was very satisfied with the service, including the bathtub and cleanliness, so I would like to use it again.
GGuest UserPretty clean. The location is decent, but some distance from the subway station - it’s a 22 min walk or some minutes on the local city bus. The service was good, with friendly staff. Amenities were not too great. The shower was amazing, but they did not have any lockers, so you had to keep the bag in the reception or in the capsule with you. They had washing machines and dryer.

GGuest UserIt's similar to a Japanese economy hotel. It's quite small. It's very close to JR Nijo Station, and you can see it when you get out of the station. It is also very close to the subway station. There is a bakery, restaurant, and convenience store at the door, which is super convenient. This station is also beautiful, with cherry trees at the entrance of the station. Close to Nijo Castle, about 10 minutes on foot to Nijo Castle.
GGuest UserThe place has an excelente location, easy to get there. The room was cleaned and organized. However, there is no person at the front desk to ask questions or ask for help. The code for entering to the room was sent by SMS, but since we were traveling the service for SMS of our phone company does not work outside our country, so we did not receive the message since we were traveling. They do not have an e-mail address, so the check in instructions could not be send there. When we arrived to the place was late and we found the front desk empty even though we still arrived in the front desk service hours. We had a hard time contacting the hotel but luckily could get some help in calling the administration to get our room number and the code.

GGuest UserThis was such a nice hotel! Everything was perfectly clean, and I felt very comfortable during my stay. I think this is the nicest place I have stayed in recently. I was glad that everything was clean and well-organized. They tell you everything you need to know in a little folder in your room. They also answered my questions very quickly and kindly.
The best parts for me were that the heating and water heater worked, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and they explained everything I was curious about in detail in the folder, on signs, or in email communications. One thing I didn't know until I got here is that there is a shared microwave, which is nice when you get food from the convenience store.
GGuest UserMy mother and I had a very comfy stay at this traditional Kyoto home in a residential area (FYI, the private rooms are on the upper floor. The staircase will be very treacherous.) The team was great and explained everything in detail. I appreciated that they took my mother's suitcase up as I followed behind. I liked the local neighborhood feeling compared to the buzzy central area, but you will need to take a bus from across the street to get anywhere before hopping on any train. Btw there was no shortage of places to eat in the neighborhood. (The 93 bus is convenient from the hostel because it will drop you off at the entrance of the Arashiyama bamboo grove.) I would stay at this location again.
