I arrive early to the hostel, the capsule room is not ready for check in. I keep my huge luggage bag at the locker, free of charge for 6 hours. Room is decent, comfortable. If you have large suitcase (like me), you would need to place them on the bed so that it’s easy to retrieve your items. Every occupants are courteous, not much noise at night. The shower cubicles need some grouting at the corners while the toilet rubbish bin should clear on hourly basis to keep the sight and smell pleasant. Reception staffs are friendly and helpful. I could not do any laundry because my non-China phone cannot download the app :(

The decor is predominantly black, giving it a very upscale feel. The lobby has a TV, a drum set, a piano, and a guitar, creating a great atmosphere. Most guests are young. The restrooms are clean, and the cleaning staff is constantly tidying up. It's also very close to Huanglong Sports Center, so it's a good option if you're attending a concert.

I think their house is quite convenient in all aspects. There is a shower room on the first floor. The shower room is the kind that separates wet and dry areas. You don't have to worry about your things getting wet. This is quite good and convenient. You can go directly to the room. There is a cabinet inside. It also provides the air conditioner you want. The weather in Hangzhou is quite extreme in summer and winter, so it would be much better if there is air conditioning. I like this more. And it is remote controlled. The remote control is placed on the bay window, and you can adjust the temperature yourself. These are relatively convenient. The details are well done, so I like their home and live in it more. I will come to their home next time. I recommend them. The cabinet is very large, and the items in the cabinet can be placed directly in the cabinet, because suitcases and tire pressure can also be placed. I feel that 24 inches are all OK, and there is a place to charge and a light on the bed.

This place is okay but I had slightly higher expectations to be honest. Cleanliness is alright, they give you a bag with a small towel upon request, both to be returned. Has free water dispensers, toiletries and a microwave. Common areas don't have a vibe but you can prepare and have your food and play video games as everyone else. The biggest common area is to the right side of the reception, which, as per usual, they don't tell you.
There is that Olympic Stadium nearby, but the city center is actually on the other side of the river. From here you will either need to take public transportation or a cab to West Lake or other interesting parts of town. Walking to the light show on the other side of the river bank took more than 1.5 hrs and it is not supposed to be walked.
There are no useful signs on the building but the way to get here is to use the ”hotel entrance” and use the single elevator straight ahead. Do not turn right to use the elevators in the elevator room. If you do, only the very right one brings you to the 5th floor where you will check in. Very confusing and no signs to help you. It also might take a bit until the right elevator arrives.
The shoe rack was inside the room, which resulted in a very smelly room. Guitar with old strings, barely playable. If I came back, I'd rather try out another place.

I stayed in the 6 bunk female dormitory during china’s golden week and pretty much stayed indoors the whole time 😂 The hostel environment is quite good, there is a 360 degree view of the city. The lounge area is quite big and(I think around 50+ 60 chairs) and there are people like me staying till the wee hours of the night, it still feels safe at that time. (there is usually one staff at the counter at all times, I once had an issue with my keycard at 4am and thankfully there was someone around). There are a lot of thoughtfully placed access points for charging items as there are quite a number of people that are on their computers, either working or playing games. As a foreigner, what I enjoyed the most in this hostel is the 外卖架子 and 快递架子, very convenient for online shopping (receiving and returning items both). The fact that the girls’ dormitory is on a different floor and requires a key card to access the floor, also felt quite safe. The single rooms are on the same floor as the lounge, floor 27, which is a lot more convenient, but there are a lot more of our buggy friends.

The youth hostel booked on Ctrip this time is great! The location is easy to find, close to the subway station, convenient to go everywhere. The sanitation is very clean, the public area has a great atmosphere, and you can meet a lot of interesting friends. It's great to chat and share travel stories with everyone. The boss is hospitable, knows the local attractions and food very well, and the suggestions he gives are very practical. The accommodation is clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is odorless and cleaned in a timely manner. Security measures are in place, there are lockers, and public areas are fully monitored, making you feel safe living here.

I didn't know the hostel was under renovation when I made the reservation. When I arrived, I saw the public areas were a mess. I thought as long as the room and bathroom were clean, it would be acceptable. It's ok if the toilet didn't provide toilet paper. I don't know if it was a clogged toilet or a problem with the personal quality of the guests. They didn't flush the toilet after defecation, which was disgusting 🤮. The only thing that was heartwarming was the corner of the study room, the free drinking water supply, and the fact that everyone came on the fifth day of the Chinese New Year. The laundry and drying services were also good.

This youth hostel experience was fantastic! The vibrant atmosphere enveloped me upon entering the lobby. The colorful graffiti walls and shared tables and chairs were a creative touch. The space was filled with opportunities to chat and engage with friends from all over the world, instantly shattering the sense of familiarity. Although the rooms were shared, the beds came with blackout curtains, charging outlets, and individual lockers, ensuring both privacy and security. The bedding was clean and odor-free, and the bunk bed ladders were non-slip—all thoughtful details. The shared kitchen was fully equipped, allowing me to team up with my roommates to cook and share meals every night. The location was excellent, with a bus stop and a snack street nearby. The owner was friendly and engaging, and the Werewolf and city hikes he organized were super fun. The value for money was excellent, perfect for solo travelers or students. I'll definitely be back!

Finally I arrived at the Shaoxing Hexiao Forest Eco-friendly Hostel that I had longed for. I had long heard that this hotel was the ceiling of domestic youth hostels. This time, I stayed for 4 nights in the girls' six-bed room 302-4. This is what I like about a good youth hostel, and it is the number one youth hostel I have stayed in in China.
Exit from the A2 entrance of Lu Xun's hometown subway station and walk forward for about 3 minutes. On the left side of the river, there is a bronze sculpture with Shaoxing characteristics at the Wind and Rain Corridor Pavilion. When you turn a corner, you will see the signboard of Nanga Study and Hostel. This building.
The youth hostel is a three-story building without an elevator. It is a study room + folk bar + youth hostel business model. For me, it is also a blessing to be able to read a good book quietly in the youth hostel during the trip. things.
The polite little girl butler gently and patiently told me a series of things: room bed, special slippers, locked lockers, free breakfast location, free Internet, WeChat contact information, etc. There happened to be a bed that had been made up, so I checked in at 12 noon. I saw the cleaning staff cleaning up garbage in the public area of the corridor on the third floor, and I took the initiative to say hello to her. Everywhere is clean, simple, bright, warm and comfortable. There are toilets and showers in the room, complete facilities, and the price/performance ratio is very high.
I walked to the nearby Lu Xun's hometown scenic spot for a whole afternoon. Unexpectedly, I encountered two problems that night. One was that the bathroom door could not be locked from the inside. The other was that the drain in the shower room was blocked while I was taking a shower. It was really frustrating. Annoyed. I sent a message to the housekeeper and was moved by her timely and thoughtful attitude and way of solving the problem. As a traveler, I felt that my needs and feelings were taken care of. It is not easy to run a youth hostel. The host has the intention and love to handle the problems and communicate so appropriately.
There are also many pleasant details: smart toilet seat, supercharged shower head, free hot and cold water, delicious red date soy milk, practical goodies in the self-service cabinet, soft backrest of the bed, message exchange book, luggage storage, etc. wait.
If you are planning to travel to Shaoxing and want to find an economical and safe place to stay, please choose Xiaolin without hesitation. You will reap a wonderful harvest. You are right here!
Shaoxing is a place with outstanding people and ancient charm. In four days, I visited the hometown of Lu Xun, the hometown of calligraphy saint, Cai Yuanpei’s former residence, Jiemin Library, Bazi Bridge, Cangqiao Zhi Street, Xixiaolu Historical District, Meteorological Museum, Shaoxing Museum, Xu Wei Art Museum, Shaoxing Master Museum and other attractions are free, and there are some paid attractions. I will go there next time. This is a small town worth slowing down and appreciating.
Shaoxing, Little Forest, see you later!

Youth hostel, atmosphere, environment, the guests inside are all very good, the overall environment of the hotel is very good, it makes people feel very comfortable, the room has a private bathroom, slippers are provided, very convenient, and the hot water is also relatively large. There is also a big TV in the lobby, and there are members, basically you can watch anything, which gives me a feeling of home. There are activities arranged every night, Werewolf, Three Kingdoms, etc. It is very close to Line 5 and South Station, and it is very convenient to travel. There is also music every day. The cleaning aunt tidies up very cleanly. I am in a good mood every day. There are also handsome men and beautiful women in the lobby. The service at the front desk is also very good. There will be someone there 24 hours a day. The sofa in the lobby is very comfortable to sit on and I won’t bring emotions to work. There is also a cute little cat. There is a temple nearby where you can pray for wealth! ! !

Very Good
EEnderSlideWhat an awesome camp,
each night, there is an event organized such as games, expeditions…
Their are lockers to keep your belongings in, but we feel very safe even if you left everything on your bed
This is very huge and you can make friends of your age easily as long if you want (and if you are young enough)
You can order *******, there is a pick up place inside the youth hostel, or buy snacks or utility stuff at the end of the corridor.
There is only one electrical plug in your bed but there are many on the rooftop where everyone goes to play the evening.
I spent 3 good nights out there.

SSeraphineNoelleThe address in Amap was completely wrong, so I struggled finding the hostel. I had booked it because of the metro being nearby, which was not the case in the end. BUT, this made me a new local friend who showed me the way, so it turned out well.
It is situated in the main area, so to get anywhere, you'll walk through the hustle & bustle, but it's in a calm street, so you don't have any noise inside.
Some of the staff spoke English or used translation tools, but not all of them. But they were very kind. Also, it was cheaper to extend directly with the hostel and pay them instead of rebooking online.
I met some really amazing people in my dorm, which also added to my Hangzhou experience.
The WiFi sometimes didn't work so well, but that's just very usual in China I find.
They have free (mostly hot) water, and you can also buy water bottles from them.
