Excellent Location, not too far from Tanjung Bungah & Batu Feringgi or from Pulau Tikus & Georgetown. Love that both bedrooms and master bath faces the ocean. Bathing with the sound of the ocean (wow). Place was well maintained and clean. Sea facing view from the living room sofa is absolutely great.
A tip for those who love to have breakfast by the sea, Oceano Symphony has the vibe, great food and view to satisfy all. Just walk abt 700m from the beach (tanjong point has a back door access to the beach). Or go in the evening for dinner, its low tide then. For breakfast hour, make sure you start walking before 8am for breakfast or the tide will cut you off the beach access after 9am. Price is a bit on the higher side but its a holiday... And you are paying for the view and good food. Otherwise, drive over to Biru-biru cafe located in Lost Paradise resort, Tanjong Bungah area.
We booked a room here because we had a lot of time before our flight in the evening. It’s a 12-15 min drive to the Penang Intl’ Airport. Therefore, it was the perfect location to rest and not have to rush to the airport from the city centre. Staff were also patient and friendly but do note their reception does not operate 24 hours. If you check it anytime before dusk, you’re safe! Otherwise, the unit we stayed in was spacious and clean. It’s a studio apartment with a living area, bathroom, a kitchenette and a loft.
We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights in a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The unit is spacious, and we really appreciated that the king bedroom could comfortably fit three people — making it suitable even for our group of 6 adults and 1 child.
The location is perfect — easy to access and surprisingly no traffic jams in the area. Most Penang attractions and food spots are only about a 10–15-minute drive away, which made exploring really convenient. My coffee place which is constant gardener is not far from here.
Anyway, the host was helpful, responsive, and reliable, replying quickly to any questions we had.
Both the air conditioning and hot water worked well throughout our stay.
Nearby, walking distance from the apartment there is a nice stalls that sell great breakfast with nice malay kuih.
On the downside, while basic cleaning was fine, we noticed that some kitchen items like cups and glasses inside the drawers were not properly cleaned, so we had to wash them ourselves. Soap was provided, but given that there’s a cleaning fee, this area could definitely be improved.
The towels and pillows were also quite worn out and could use replacement to make the stay more comfortable.
Also there is no coway water filter as advertised, so probably it is at other unit but not my unit.
The main issue we faced was with the lift during peak hours. On our checkout day, it took an hour waiting that my family ended up taking the stairs from level 23 down to the carpark at level 8! It seems this happens many times and a lot of upset people especially when one of the lifts is used by workers, knowingly many people are stuck
Overall, this apartment offers great value for its size, location, and host service, with only minor improvements needed in cleanliness and maintenance and if you can be patient with the waiting lift.
This accommodation is perfect for families and very convenient for independent travelers. It's configured as a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and a bathroom, which is a huge plus for those not used to the local cuisine, allowing you to easily prepare your own meals – cooking noodles or hotpot, for instance, would be excellent. The property also boasts a swimming pool and offers lovely sea views from the window. However, there are a couple of drawbacks: the windows aren't very soundproof, and the curtains aren't blackout, which makes it hard to sleep in. Despite these minor issues, it's a great choice for independent travelers.
Service was excellent, and the environment was very clean. For stays of two nights or more, afternoon tea is provided. We even received a small charm as a souvenir upon check-out.
On the downside, the soundproofing in rooms close to the main road is very poor, making them quite noisy. Additionally, the electronic lock on our room door was unresponsive, often taking a long time to open. I really suggest they replace it!
I had a fantastic stay at this place. The room was spacious and clean and owner place is kind . The room was very comfortable with a great view from the window. It was cleaned daily and had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect, close to all the major attractions.I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city. 5 out of 5 stars.
Location: The apartment experience this time is excellent. The same building as the Courtyard Hotel is the biggest highlight. You can see the sea view by pushing the window and the view is wide and comfortable. The apartment has complete facilities, the sofa feels soft and comfortable, the height of the selected floor is suitable, and the daily living is convenient and comfortable.
Dining: The surrounding area is very convenient
Apartment management specifications: professional reception process at the door, gym and other public facilities are also available to meet the basic needs of life and leisure.
The fly in the ointment is that the luggage storage point is located in the surrounding supermarkets, the charge is high, the large suitcase is 16 yuan/day, the small suitcase is 8 yuan/day, but the price can be negotiated.
The reception staff at the entrance of the apartment was friendly and the communication experience was good. On the whole, this is a very satisfying stay, and the next trip will be preferred here.
Really nice apartment, good sized 2 bedroom effort. Bathroom was good as well, nice rain shower.
Little newsagent downstairs as well for emergencies.
The hotel isnt on Grab yet as its so new, so click on 'near Macallister apartments'.
The room was well-designed, the bathroom was clean, and there was a wide variety of TV programs.

GGuest UserThe room is a bit cramped and scary since someone tried to open the door without knocking but the stay was pleasant since the room has all the basic needs covered and theres a projector with netflix and youtube in it for entertainment which is nice also i would prefer white bed sheets and pillow cases for hygiene purposes. Would come again to stay.
PPata PataThe location is lively and there are many shops around. It is also very close to the city center by taxi. The room is beautiful and functional. The landlord is kind and takes care of all the needs in advance! It is a perfect accommodation experience!
GGuest UserI enjoyed this charming little hotel. There were a few drawbacks: there was barely any toilet paper in our bathroom and there were some weird smells in our room. Other than that, the hotel was charming and had a nice pool. They organized a complimentary Chinese new year dragon dance. The hotel was responsive. Would recommend for a pleasant stay.
GGuest UserResponsive host, well prepared w many travelling info really useful for Penang Food explorers. Unit is well organised equipped w child and elderly friendly shower facilities. Great view high floors , clean. Nice infinity pool n gym too. To visit again
GGuest UserSelf check in. Instructions and key box code were sent by email. No issues.
Room was basic but clean. Stairs to loft bed have no railing so your balance has to be okay.
What I liked: it’s very near the beach (but be careful going down the steep steps with a rusting and questionable guardrail). And it’s also a minute’s walk from the nearby food place with many affordable options for dinner. Not far from the bus stop. Penang’s bus services are not bad.
What I didn’t like: the positions of the room lighting are poor, including the bathroom where the opaque shower curtain blocks the bathroom light, and the loft where the bare bulb is right above your head and glows even when off. I unscrewed the bulb in order to stop that. Also, not many breakfast options nearby.
Music from a nearby nightspot could be heard along with some firecracker type noises some nights, but these died down by about 10pm so not a problem for me.
In all, I would rate this place a solid 4/5 and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.
CClayNorthNot my first time staying at The Frame Guesthouse, and I think I will make a tradition out of it each time I visit Penang. Location is ideal as it’s close to the street art, street food, jetties and more. Staff are all super friendly and very helpful. As a solo backpacker I also found it very convenient and met a lot of cool people. I would happily recommend them to anyone coming to Penang!
JJesus loves allThe host is super friendly and responsive. The location is very convenient, though parking is available but limited. Room is clean and big enough for two but the bed is too soft for me personally. Price is very reasonable and affordable. Definitely worth it. Will come back again.
TTrex clubThe hotel is located in the core low end of Penang. There are supermarkets, restaurants and bus stations at the door. It is very close to attractions. The dormitory beds are clean and sanitary, and the bathrooms and toilets are cleaned every day.
IIris CheongKFHad an amazing stay. A family member had bad food poisoning so we tried requesting for early check in. Was informed that at that time, around 12 noon the room was not ready but they had requested housekeeping to expedite cleaning. Before 2pm we received notification that the room is ready. Kudos to the team for accomodating our request as our family member was so grateful that sge can crawl between the clean bedsheets to rest! The unit is very clean. The water filter, steam iron & hair dryer came in very handy. We did not use the other things like induction, microwave & umbrella which was provided. Also appreciated the booklet with comprehensive info on food & places of interest. Host kept checking on us in case we needed anything. Thank you!!
