Chengdu Homestays

this hostel is PERFECT for non chinese visitors. everyone in the staff speak english which is not common at all in china and extremely useful. The hostel resembles a lot the nice hostels you find in europe and there is the possibility to leave your luggages for up to 15days. The location is great it's very close to subway line 2 and 3 which can be used to reach the pandas research base. The only downside was that i found some small bugs underneath my flipflop in the shower but there was an extra pair in my room so it was fine.

Really enjoyed the evening activities organised by the hostel, could meet other travellers. Had a nice reception area with mahjong and pool Only 2 showers between all the dorms so sometimes waiting, and the cold water when showering smelt of sewage. My bed had another person's shorts making me question if it had been cleaned? But near the temple, and the walk from the nearest metro stop has a market which is nice, also near the panda bus bus stop. Also the room has AC (even though listed as without)

It’s my second time here. I saw many complaints about the foul smell because of the renovation in the review section. The first floor stills smells like drainage. But the room I stayed was ok. There was no smell coming from the toilet either. However, there was a crack in the ceiling so the ceiling rock fell down on the bed and was dusty when I entered the room. Also they had the window open - but as there is no web for bug protection - a lot of leaves and some insects entered the room and was on the floor. Overall it was a good stay. However, when I visited here during winter the shower water was hot enough to take a good shower. But yesterday, the water was very cold. And I was already wet to call for help. There was also ***** hair on the desk but I cleared it away… Still there are alot of amenities and the staff can speak a bit of english.

Stayed for two nights, the first night I went to the front desk to pick up water and chatted with the little brother at the front desk for a while. Then Mr. Zhao of the hotel came over to me and said that he had turned off the lights in the room for me to save electricity. It was best to use moonlight. This is the first time for me to live in a youth hostel. To be honest, I was worried at first that I would not get used to it, but after I settled in the place, this worry completely dissipated. It was like returning home. The host Jayson is very nice and friendly We were able to chat easily, and the room was well tidied up. The bed type is bunk beds and it is very comfortable to sleep in. The other passengers staying here are also young, and they can chat quickly. Brother Jayson has been to many places and he is also very comfortable with me. Talking about his experience, it really makes people look forward to that kind of journey! Later we even cook and eat together, it’s completely like being at home😂

Close to the East Station, the room is big, not too quiet, the bathroom is small, it is not convenient to take a bath, it is barely possible to catch the train for one night, it is not recommended.
