Under the current 2026 rules, eligible passengers may receive:

Who May Qualify for Air China Transit Accommodation?

Important basic conditions include:

• Your connecting ticket generally starts with 999.
• Incoming and outgoing flights must carry a CA flight number.
• Operating airline requirements depend on whether the connection is domestic or international.
• Your connection normally needs to be at least six hours.
• Overnight transit limits are generally up to 24 hours for domestic-to-domestic connections and up to 30 hours when international or regional flights are involved.
• Cabin class and PhoenixMiles membership can affect eligibility.

For some Economy Class booking classes, eligibility may require PhoenixMiles Lifetime Platinum, Platinum or Gold status. First Class and Business Class passengers have different eligibility rules depending on their itinerary.

How to Book the Air China Transit Hotel

There are two main types of transit accommodation.

Standard Transit Accommodation

You can generally book through:

Bookings must currently be made more than 24 hours before the scheduled arrival of the first transit flight.

Deluxe Transit Accommodation

The Deluxe product must currently be booked through the Air China service hotline.

📌 Important: Transit accommodation is not automatically included with your ticket. You need a successful reservation before using the service, and Air China does not accept on-site bookings for the transit accommodation product.

Important Transit Visa Note for Filipino Travelers

If you hold a Philippine ordinary passport, pay close attention to China's immigration rules before booking an airport transit hotel.

China currently offers a 24-hour visa-free transit policy to foreign nationals who are travelling to a third country or region, have valid travel documents and confirmed onward tickets, and remain within the designated airport transit area.

If you want to leave the restricted airport area, you must obtain permission to enter China, such as an applicable temporary entry permit or other valid entry authorization.

China also has a separate 240-hour visa-free transit policy, but the current list of 55 eligible nationalities does not include Philippine passport holders.

This matters because Air China's transit hotels are outside the airport's restricted international transit area.

Before using a transit hotel:

• Check whether you already have a valid China visa.
• Confirm whether immigration will allow you to enter.
• Prepare your passport.
• Prepare your onward flight ticket.
• Check your transit time.
• Confirm your Air China transit accommodation reservation.
• Ask Air China if you are unsure about the latest eligibility rules.

Air China also states that international passengers using transit accommodation are responsible for making sure they have the required entry eligibility and documents.

Tips for Using Beijing Capital Airport Lounges

A little preparation can save you a lot of walking and waiting at PEK.

• Check your terminal first. PEK is large, and your lounge must normally be accessible from your departure area.
• Check whether the lounge is domestic or international. A lounge located in another secured area may not be accessible.
• Save your lounge QR code. Screenshot your Trip.com, Priority Pass or other lounge QR code before arriving.
• Bring your passport and boarding pass. Lounge staff may need both for verification.
• Check your guest allowance. Guests may require an additional payment even if your own visit is free.
