Travel to Hong Kong

Hong Kong is China’s gateway to the world, a city where East meets West in dazzling fashion. Once a colonial outpost, it has evolved into a global financial powerhouse and cultural crossroads. Skyscrapers cling to lush hillsides, while neon-lit streets pulse with energy from markets, luxury malls, and world-class eateries. It’s a place of contrasts—tradition and innovation, serenity and hustle. Hong Kong doesn’t just keep up with the future—it negotiates it with style.

I stayed at a comfortable hotel in Hong Kong and wanted to share📝

The station and bus stop are close by, making access excellent🚉🚌
It's also convenient with a direct bus to the airport!

The area is quiet, so I could relax well after sightseeing☺️

The room was clean and even had a washing machine!
This is really appreciated for those staying long-term or wanting to do laundry during their trip…👏

Address: 68 Chun Yeung St, North Point, Hong Kong
Budget per person: 19,076 JPY per night

After staying at Hong Kong Icon by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I was completely captivated by its old-school luxury style! As a five-star hotel under The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, you can feel the strong elegant atmosphere from the moment you step into the lobby—marble decor, crystal chandeliers paired with vintage furniture, every corner is full of details, embodying a classic style full of sophistication!

The room design follows a minimalist luxury route, with bedding so soft it feels like sleeping on clouds. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with high-quality toiletries. My favorite is the hotel’s high-altitude restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious cuisine while admiring the Victoria Harbour night view, creating an amazing atmosphere! Plus, the location is super convenient, close to the MTR station, with plenty of nearby dining and shopping options within easy reach.

Whether for business trips or vacations, it’s perfect! If you love old-school upscale style, next time you come to Hong Kong, you must try this stylish Icon by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University—you definitely won’t be disappointed~

A solo trip that packs all the emotions into one day—temple visits, food adventures, relaxing moments, and photography. Truly, "One day to satisfy both the soul and the stomach."

🛐 08:30 – Start your morning at Che Kung Temple

Begin your day by spinning the lucky windmill and praying for health, career success, and overall good fortune. The temple's serene atmosphere exudes a calming energy that brings peace of mind. I spun the windmill and wished for a great day—and it truly turned out that way! ✨

🛐 10:00 – Next stop: Wong Tai Sin Temple

This temple covers all aspects of blessings—love, career, and life. If you want to pray for everything in one place, this is the spot. The Yin-Yang Garden is also stunning, and the photos you take here will have a soft, dreamy vibe!

🍜 12:00 – Lunch at Kai Kee Restaurant (佳記餐廳) in Tsim Sha Tsui

A famous local eatery you shouldn't miss. Order the fish ball noodles and Hong Kong-style milk tea—they're absolutely delicious. The restaurant has an old-school Hong Kong vibe, making you feel like a local for a moment. 🍜

🍇 13:30 – Afternoon refreshment at Heytea (喜茶)

Dessert time! I chose the Very Grape Cheezo (多肉葡萄芝士)—fresh, juicy grapes topped with creamy cheese foam. It's mildly sweet, incredibly refreshing, and perfect for Hong Kong's weather. 🍇💜

🌊 15:00 – Chill at Kennedy Town

A quieter corner of Hong Kong with beautiful buildings and seaside cafes. Stroll around and snap some photos. I relaxed at a small pier, watching boats pass by, enjoying the breeze and tranquility. The film camera-style photos turned out amazing! 📷

🥢 17:30 – End the day with legendary roasted goose at Yung’s Roasted Goose

Crispy-skinned, tender roasted goose soaked in flavorful sauce, paired with noodles—absolutely perfect without needing any extra seasoning. Eating it solo feels guilt-free (haha). A trip to Hong Kong isn't complete without trying roasted goose!

💬

Even with just "one day," Hong Kong offers more than you'd expect—spiritual fulfillment from temple visits and culinary satisfaction from delicious food. If you only have 24 hours in Hong Kong, follow this itinerary for an unforgettable experience. 💗

Coffee lovers will go crazy with excitement when they come to Hong Kong! But compared to the usual same-old shops, I prefer unique and easy-to-find hidden gems~This time, I discovered "Blossom" at Exit B3 of Sung Wong Toi Station, and it completely stole my heart!💘

Just a 10-minute walk from the MTR station, the long bar inside the café is a godsend for solo visitors☕️. After the barista hands you a glass of water, they give you plenty of personal space, instantly boosting the good vibes! During brunch hours (8:00-18:00), the apricot golden Camembert sourdough sandwich is absolutely unbeatable🥪. The sweet and sour apricot jam paired with the crispy sourdough, combined with a runny poached egg and savory cheese, makes every bite heavenly! The chia seed coconut milk served alongside is super refreshing~

For my pour-over coffee, I chose the Colombian passion fruit washed beans. The hot drink has just the right balance of acidity and sweetness, and the fruity aroma becomes even more pronounced as it cools down🍹. The biggest surprise was the themed cocktail menu! I tried the "Late Qing," which has a smoky sour plum flavor with incredibly rich layers! The tiramisu cocktail is strong but not overwhelming, leaving me feeling blissfully happy after finishing it~

All the coffee beans here are roasted in-house. When I left, I even packed some Ethiopian drip coffee! I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Hong Kong. Coffee lovers, hurry and check it out!

📍 Hong Kong
✨ The Kennedy Town waterfront path is one of the quietest walking spots in Hong Kong. The relaxed atmosphere and cool breeze make it perfect for chilling out or taking a leisurely walk on your day off.
✨ The walkway is smoothly paved and easy to walk on, with areas for dog owners, seating spots, and viewpoints offering unobstructed views of the open sea.
✨ The highlight is the evening during sunset. The view is stunning, with soft light reflecting on the water’s surface, creating a simple yet uniquely charming photo opportunity.
✨ It’s suitable for solo visitors, couples, or groups of friends because the surrounding atmosphere feels relaxing and not too crowded.
✨ If you want a peaceful seaside stroll, Kennedy Town Waterfront is another spot that truly feels like a place to rest your soul.

The moment you step into the suite, you’re stunned by the 180-degree Victoria Harbour view! Floor-to-ceiling windows capture the entire night scene of the harbor, and when the lights sparkle at night, it feels like being in a movie set~ The biggest surprise is the "starship bathroom," with marble walls and linear lighting. When the warm light mode is on, it’s so cozy you don’t want to get out of bed; under the cool light, it instantly transforms into a futuristic space capsule, perfect for taking silhouette photos with great atmosphere📸

The suite is super spacious, with a living room featuring a separate bar counter. Executive lounge privileges include afternoon tea and evening cocktails~ The velvet headboard in the bedroom is so soft it feels like sinking into clouds, and even the bathroom amenities are limited edition Diptyque! The most thoughtful touch is the butler asking your pillow preference in advance—detail lovers will be completely won over~

In the morning, soak in the sea view bathtub with a cup of Hong Kong-style milk tea delivered to the room, watching the sunrise over Victoria Harbour, the luxury feeling is off the charts! No wonder so many celebrities love staying here. Next time in Hong Kong, I’ll definitely come back~

Once you stay at Fullerton Ocean Park, you’ll fall in love! As the first overseas hotel of The Fullerton from Singapore, this place is truly a paradise for families with kids and vacationers~ Although it’s located in the Southern District of Hong Kong, taking a taxi to the city center is super convenient. The hotel covers a vast area, with a bright and open lobby full of authentic Singaporean vibes, and even the Southeast Asian restaurant is so genuine it feels like you’ve flown straight to the Lion City 🇸🇬!

The biggest surprise is the ridiculously spacious rooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Southern District sea view, more open and comfortable than Central or Tsim Sha Tsui~ It’s super convenient to go straight to Ocean Park with kids, then come back to the hotel to recharge at the pool. Lazy guests can just order room service and enjoy a sea view dinner without rushing the schedule 😌 Nearby Wong Chuk Hang has furniture stores and branded outlets, so it’s great for some shopping too~

The hotel is new, well-managed, and guaranteed by Sino Group! It opened during the pandemic at over three thousand HKD per night, but now with demand down, prices are much more affordable. Even with round-trip transportation costs, it’s cheaper than five-star hotels in the city center~ If you don’t mind the commute, it’s really worth it for pure relaxation or a family vacation! Next time I come to Hong Kong, I’ll definitely stay here again~

Mercury Recall, hidden in Causeway Bay, is just a few minutes' walk from the MTR station towards the waterfront! As soon as you push open the door, you're hit with a stunning wall of vinyl records, ranging from classics to niche finds, and you can even hunt for records on the spot🛍️ The in-store turntables play music non-stop, and at night there’s a DJ spinning, creating an amazing vibe🎧

The space is huge and never crowded, perfect for chilling with friends all day~ The coffee beans are roasted in-house and smell amazing, the all-day breakfast sauces are soulfully crafted, and the char siu sauce paired with a sunny-side-up egg is incredible! The French Earl Grey ice cream is a must-try, with cocktail-like layers of flavor, a sweet tea aftertaste, and a creamy texture🍦

Be sure to leave time to slowly browse the record wall, buy a favorite vinyl to enjoy with your coffee—it’s the ultimate weekend salvation for working people~ Next time, definitely come at night to experience the live DJ, a double delight for vinyl enthusiasts and coffee lovers alike!
