I recently visited and was impressed by the cleanliness and neatness of the place. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making my experience even more enjoyable. However, some facilities were closed for maintenance and upgrades, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it's a great spot, and I'm looking forward to seeing it when everything is up and running

Built in 1912, The Manila Hotel exudes old-world grandeur and luxury with its European-style architecture, spacious lobby, arched doorways, massive chandeliers, and wooden window frames. Interestingly, General MacArthur's suite, from the time he lost to General Peng during the Korean War, is preserved on the fifth floor – history certainly has a way of repeating itself... The breakfast selection is quite extensive.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and appreciated its consistency over time. I previously stayed here in 2018 and 2019, and I observed that the overall quality remains stable. The facilities and ambiance are still well maintained, which reflects good management. The service quality is also consistent. The staff are professional, responsive, and attentive to guest needs. The breakfast experience was a highlight. The food quality is good, and there is a decent variety of options available. Overall, this hotel continues to deliver reliable service and a comfortable stay. It is a good choice for travelers who value consistency and quality.

While the breakfast buffet was a notable highlight with its quality and variety, my overall stay was significantly hampered by procedural and service-related friction points. Parking: A Major Inconvenience The process for securing complimentary parking is excessively complicated and needs to be streamlined. For a 5-night stay, having to follow these steps every single day was truly exhausting and time-consuming: Validate the ticket at the Front Desk for complimentary status. Go to the Parking Cashier for a zero-value receipt. Surrender this receipt at the parking exit. This multi-step, daily requirement detracts significantly from the convenience expected of a hotel in this category, and I urge management to simplify it for long-term guests. Front Desk & Check-In Issues Service at the Front Desk also presented some challenges: The check-in process was not smooth and took longer than expected. I often had to wait for an extended period for the front desk to answer my phone calls, which was frustrating when trying to resolve issues or make simple requests. Value for Money The breakfast buffet, while excellent, is priced quite high, making it feel less like a value-add and more like an excessive cost for those paying in addition to their room rate. Overall: The quality of the breakfast is great, but the cumbersome parking procedure and the inconsistent front desk service created daily friction that significantly impacted the overall comfort and convenience of my extended stay.

Expected for a 3 star hotel. A little dusty and bathtub not completely clean, the room is quite dark even with all lights on. Fridge can keep drinks cold. The shampoo and shower gel bottles were tiny and had to be topped up every day. Breakfast was good, we had it twice and they had different items on the menu, with eggs, sausage, bread, rice and meats. Location is also good, walk 15-20 mins to nearest mall and 30mins drive to airport. They have shuttles to the two malls but not frequent. Staff were nice and helpful with checkin and luggage.

Located on Ongpin Street, very near to all the popular Chinatown f&b oultlets and opposite to the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz (Binondo Church) so you wake up to the sounds of Church Bells. The Hotel is quite dated but clean, would have been a great hotel during those days. Staff are friendly and approachable. Just a heads up; they require a deposit per night. If you have a credit card you can pre-auth. Since I stayed for 1 night, I put 2000 piso cash for deposit. A family who checked in before me had 2 rooms for 5nights, had to put deposit of 2x5x2000piso=20,000piso (325usd).

Staying at City Garden Suites Manila turned out to be a great choice for exploring the historic side of Manila. The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. If you’re looking for a hotel that balances comfort, location, and affordability, this is definitely a good option when staying in Manila.

Overall: 4/5 Location: 4.5/5 Very convenient. I stayed here for a 2-day ISO training held in one of their convention rooms, so it was super practical. It’s also right beside Starbucks, which was my go-to for coffee. Value: 4/5 Reasonable for a short business stay, but parking has an extra fee. Room: 3/5 The hotel feels old and nostalgic — classic elevators and hallways. Bathroom was clean, but the room had a slightly musky smell. Walls seem thin since I could hear a neighboring room’s phone and music. Cleanliness: 5/5 Bathroom was neat and well-maintained. Service: 5/5 Staff were friendly and accommodating. Facilities: 5/5 Convention rooms are functional and convenient for seminars and trainings. The packaged food during the training was also good and complete, from breakfast snacks to lunch and merienda. Final Take: Good option for business stays and trainings. Not the most modern, but convenient and comfortable enough for short trips.

For my stay in Manila, I chose the Red Planet Manila Bay, part of the well-known Red Planet chain. And I can say – it was the perfect decision! The hotel primarily impresses with its excellent location. It's within walking distance of the Old City, the historic heart of the capital. All the main attractions seem to be right on its doorstep, which is incredibly convenient for any explorer. My check-in was fast and very comfortable. I was greeted at the reception by a pleasant and attentive young woman. While check-in was officially at 2 PM, I was happily handed the keys to my room at 11 AM – completely free of charge! Such care and flexibility truly speak to their amazing service. An added bonus is the cozy cafe on the ground floor. The food is tasty, portions are decent, and the prices are very affordable. If you're looking for a reliable, clean, and strategically located hotel in Manila to comfortably spend the night and explore the city, I confidently recommend this option. My rating: a solid ten out of ten!

Our stay is exceptional, staff are greatly accomodating, we are a family of 6, so I booked for 2 rooms at acqua small knowing that they have connecting room, requested if they can just convert our 2 rooms into 1 big room that can accomodate us, the reception said it's not possible, but with my surprise, they upgraded our first room to big family aqua instead and still have the other small family aqua, thankee to the reception and not only that they allow us to early check in as early as 10am wherein check in time is 12nn. Children really enjoyed the aqua park and jet pool.. Accdg to them, it's their best day ever....

I had a pleasant stay at Red Planet Binondo. One of the best things about this hotel is its very convenient location. It’s within walking distance to the Pasig River Esplanade, where you can enjoy the river view and find plenty of food choices around the area. It’s also just a short walk to Ongpin Street, which makes it perfect if you want to explore the heart of Binondo and try different Chinese restaurants and food spots. One thing to note is that the lobby is located on the 4th floor, which might be a bit unusual at first, but the check-in process was smooth. The rooms are spacious with a modern and clean design, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. It feels well-maintained and practical for travelers who want a simple but nice place to stay. However, the hotel does not provide slippers, toothbrush, or toothpaste for free. If you need them, you can buy a set from the hotel for ₱45. Overall, Red Planet Binondo is a great option if you want an affordable, modern hotel in a very strategic location, especially if your goal is to explore Binondo’s food scene on foot.

Stayed at Rizal Park Hotel and it honestly felt like stepping into another era—very Somewhere in Time kind of vibe. The building itself has a lot of character, which makes sense since it used to be the old Army Navy Club (built in 1911), and you can feel that old-world charm throughout the property. Location is a major advantage—right beside Rizal Park, near the US Embassy, and overlooking Manila Bay. Great for staycations, especially if you want that sunset view. Convenience stores are about a 5-minute walk away, and food delivery is easily accessible. We booked a junior suite and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was notably fresh-smelling, which stood out. Bed was comfortable, aircon was cold, and Wi-Fi was fast. The pool area was a highlight—relaxing with a great view of the bay, especially at sunset. The hotel also has a gym and sauna; we were able to use the sauna, which was a nice addition to the overall experience. Most of the staff were friendly, often greeting us with smiles and good mornings/evenings, which made the stay more pleasant. Special mention to Ma'am Jenna from the amenities building—very friendly and accommodating. There were a few instances where some staff didn't greet, but overall service was still warm and welcoming. That said, the building does show its age in some areas. There were occasional noises at night (likely ongoing maintenance or renovations), and some facilities feel dated—TV could definitely be upgraded to a smart TV. We also noticed some ceilings and walls with visible cracks and signs of mold, which could use better upkeep. Breakfast buffet was okay—decent, but not a standout. Overall, still good bang for buck. Best suited for staycations or travelers who appreciate historic hotels with character rather than modern luxury. Would definitely come back.

Location was super good. They have already smart tv so we were able to watch Youtube on down time but there's no Netflix account signed in, you have to have your own. The buffet on the first morning was chicken tocino and something that looked like a embutido but on the 2nd morning it was a nice glazed chicken and fish fillet in tausi sauce. We had a pleasant stay overall and truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was very nice, approachable, and accommodating. The food was good, and the facilities and amenities met our expectations. There were just a couple of minor concerns. Parking space for guests with cars is limited, and while there are parking options outside the property, these come with additional fees. We also experienced a small issue with the air conditioner one night, it was set to “cool” mode but felt like it was only blowing air, so we had to turn it off and on again to get it working properly. These were manageable concerns and did not significantly affect our experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, would recommend the place, and would gladly visit again.

The location is good, close to Intramuros and the coast. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's a nice walk to see the city. There's a large supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient. Many of the staff were very kind. Thanks to them, I had a pleasant stay, which really made up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The doorman who opened the door for me every day even stopped an Uber taxi for me at the end and opened the door. He was very pleasant, and I left feeling good. Thank you. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the omelets made fresh every day were delicious, and since it was a buffet, I was able to eat my fill. For this price, there's even a small gym, so I think the cost-performance is good. From here on, I'll list the downsides, but even with those, I still felt it was good value for money (again, thanks to the kind staff). The hotel is old and dusty. My room had no view from the window. The strange doll on the bedside lamp was a mystery (lol). The room was reasonably spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. However, when you remove the key card, everything turns off, so it gets hot again when you go out. There are no amenities at all, so I recommend bringing your own from home. There's no box of tissues either. There's only one roll of toilet paper, so if you use it as tissue, you'll run out. For towels, there's only a bath towel; no face towel. Maybe you can ask the front desk for a toothbrush? The toilet is the kind where you shouldn't flush paper. Please be careful.

Got in our room around 2:30 pm. They seem to be really strict with early check-in unlike most hotels where you can get free early check-in from 12-1 pm. Easy to past time since mall is very accessible. Location is superb. Perfect for Binondo foodtrip. Room is nice for its price, but bathroom shower area can use some improvement. Jacuzzi and sauna area smells and doesn’t seem to be regularly cleaned. Feels unsanitary so we didn’t bother using it even if we wanted to. Wish they had a swimming pool.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. However, the swimming pool was not operational during our visit due to bad weather. Additionally, the provided slippers were in poor condition, and we had to contact the front desk several times to request replacements. We were also disturbed while sleeping when a staff member knocked on our door claiming we had requested an iron, which we had not.

The hotel is nice.  My room was very clean and morning breakfast was delicious.  The shower never got hot, just lukewarm.   The location is convenient for sightseeing.  I walked to Rizal Park and the museum complex.  It only took about 25 minutes.  A nice leisurely walk, and good for sightseeing.  However the tourist hustlers can be annoying when you're walking.  The area gets kind of seedy at night.  I wouldn't call it a red-light district, but it's close enough.  The sex stuff is not a problem during the day, but it becomes a problem at night.  When I returned to my hotel in the evening, I stopped going back out.

My stay at Lido de Paris Hotel in Manila was a mix of convenience and areas that could use improvement. The location is definitely one of its strongest points — it’s close to major spots in Manila, making it easy to get around. The lobby and common areas have a classic, slightly vintage feel, which adds character. The room itself was decent, though it could benefit from some updates. The bed was comfortable enough for a short stay, but certain amenities felt a bit dated. Cleanliness was acceptable, though not exceptional. Staff were generally polite and helpful, especially at check‑in. One thing to note is that the surrounding area can be busy and noisy, especially at night, so it may not be ideal for light sleepers. Still, for travelers looking for an affordable stay in a central location, the hotel offers reasonable value.

I booked this place out of pure convenience. The location was great, but the building was old and was showing its age. I only spent 7 hours there because I had an early flight the next morning. If I had to book a room for a nother short stay, I'd probably spend a little more money and stay a better place.

I was dissatisfied with the facilities I stayed in. The glue on the washbasin was black and mild, and it looked dirty. There are no toiletries, so forget it, we all have their own. But to vomit, the facility description is seriously inconsistent: 1. No hair dryer. The hotel said that there was a hair dryer, and the result was not in the room. 2. There is no 24-hour front desk service. First there is no front desk, the front desk is the public reception, not the hotel front desk, the hotel has an Office, at 24F, but not 24 hours service, service time is from 10 am to 7 pm, there will be a small list when you stay. The service time indicated above is 10am-7pm! 3, the most opinion is that the swimming pool is the building, not the hotel, the use of charges! The pool is charged! My initial starting point for booking this hotel is to have a swimming pool, but anyone can think that this swimming pool is a building, not a hotel. There is an extra charge for use, Philippine pesos for adults and PHP 150 for children. The only thing that is gratifying is that the responsible manager is a Taiwanese girl, very enthusiastic, has provided a lot of help, and the staff is very enthusiastic. This is the only highlight of this hotel.

We checked in at this hotel for my sister’s board exam, and we definitely made the right choice by choosing Sun Star Grand Hotel. It's just a few steps away from Isetann, and even though the streets outside were loud and busy, the hotel itself was quiet, peaceful, and safe. The staff were very welcoming and respectful, always ready to attend to our inquiries and requests. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. My sister and I had a good night's sleep and felt well-rested throughout our stay.

Great hotel if you don't want to overpay! We chose him for the second time - this is an indicator!)) Simple but perfectly clean room and bed. It is convenient to get from/to the airport, so we took a room between flights. Absolutely friendly guys at the reception. We reached the historical area of Intramuros on foot in 25-30 minutes. The area is very calm. If you don’t expect anything extraordinary from the room, then don’t hesitate to book! 100% recommend! There is no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, ask for a room on the lower floors.

I had a pleasant stay in this Hotel. The location is great right in the middle of Binondo, which made it easy to walk around and explore the area. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. One thing I appreciated was the hotel restaurant. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and it was convenient to have a dining option right downstairs after a long day, Staff were polite and helpful whenever I had questions. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it offers good value for the price. I appreciated the convenience and the overall atmosphere. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, well-located place to stay in Chinatown

The configuration in the room is average, without bedside tables. WIFI is relatively slow. It will take 460ms to use WIFI in the room to hit the king of glory The room is non-smoking. Smoking has to go to the first floor, At night I just wanted to go out to smoke when someone robbed me. There is no law and order here, there is no 24-hour front desk, and no security.

Room: Even with aircon, its so hard to maintain cold room temp making it uncomfortable. Wifi connectivity is also zero lol.
