Hotel is located at city centre and we found the room to be comfortable and with good basic amenities. No room slipper, shaver like most hotels in Asia, we were provided with shower gel, shampoo, shower cap, vanity kit. Hotel also has gym, pool and hot tub. Overall a pleasant stay with comfortable bed.
The room is clean and spacious. The breakfast quality can be improved. It’s clean but presentation can be better. The buffet spread can be more, food taste good.
Will recommend my friends.
Great and easy checkin. The cabin was clean and tidy and just 50 meters from kitchen and bathroom facilities. The hot pools were very hot indeed. The kitchen facilities were fine and offered everything needed for cooking and doing dishes.
The cabin was rather warm at night (no aircon) and the beds a bit noisy.
All in all a good, recommendable stay and good value for money.
Strongly recommend this hotel, especially for families with children.
There’s an outdoor heated pool with sauna which was perfect to end the day with. Also comes with a playroom with table tennis, foosball, table hockey which is great for family bonding.
Kids dine free with paying adults so is great for family. Breakfast spread was good!
Highly recommended!
Stayed here for a two day staycation away from Auckland. This hotel was formally Rydges Rotorua. The premises was a little bit dated but otherwise very comfortable and satisfactory. From check in to check out the staff were fantastic. My room was serviced on my second day of the stay which was very much appreciated. I had dinner in the restaurant on the first night of my stay and that was also fantastic. And also a couple of beverages at the bar. I was also upgraded into a room that had a spa bath and a view of the Rotorua racecourse. I would highly recommend this hotel
The hotel was located right next to the Polynesian Spa and a long walking/biking path around the geothermal area. It's also near restaurants and a grocery store for lots of food options. The room was clean and comfortable, but due to our location on the first floor near the parking lot and major walkway, we heard everyone coming and going. If you're a light sleeper, request an upper floor room, and hopefully you won't hear people in the hallway/parking lot/walkway like we did. Also, I have to be honest, the sulphur smell was so strong at times I was gagging and it woke me up from a dead sleep. Knowing it will smell and experiencing it are two different things! Mostly for this reason, I wouldn't stay here again.
With a stay at Ōhope Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park in Ohope, you'll be on the beach, a 3-minute walk from Ohope Beach and a 2-minute drive from Ohope International Golf Club. This beach hotel is 3.2 mi (5.2 km) from Maraetotara Reserve and 6.1 mi (9.8 km) from Otarawairere Bay.
Dip into one of the 2 hot tubs or enjoy other recreational amenities including a waterslide and an outdoor tennis court. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, a television in a common area, and gas grills.
Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 31 guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.
Not great considering the cost to stay. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to turn up at the reception, and then we had to ask twice for assistance to check in.
Little to no hot water (tepid would be accurate) meant we had to walk out of the complex (with towels and toiletries) and down the main street and back into another room at the other end of the complex to take showers - both nights! Not at all pleasant as it was quite cold and very inconvenient.
And the spa didn’t work and was out of operation. Probably due to no hot water.
No lift meant lugging suitcases up a lot of stairs and no one to help.
Certainly wasn’t a great place to stay. Think we could have stayed somewhere better at half the price and less trouble.
The location of the hotel is good, but the facilities are a bit old. It is very close to the hot spring baths, and the beach is just a few steps away. Generally speaking, it is still possible, if the price is below 800.

Llindy namThe room was okay but there was no pool due to maintenance. Also, no common area even for microwave (on the website, there is photo for shared kitchen that’s why we chose here since we have kids so at least we could have easy breakfast) that was shame. Anyway, not too bad for just staying and sleeping for a night though.
GGuest UserGreat location in the heart of Rotorua, right next door to the lake and Eat Street restaurants and came highly recommended to us, but left us a little disappointed - especially for the price.
Room a little outdated, holes in the blinds which let the light in, dirty grout in the shower and the shower head was broken and the glasses were dirty. I never ever leave a bad review, but after a great experience at 4 other different hotels across NZ this trip, the front desk lady on arrival at the Novotel was not the friendliest - it felt like we were an inconvenience to her. It was check in time and she was the only staff member on with a queue of people.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable.

GGuest UserClean and nice deco room, lovely water view, spacious bathroom, however, the facilities such as gym and cleanliness in public areas can be improved. As to location, if you drive, that’s no a problem at all, would love to recommend this resort.
CCielo AzulThe room is large and the facilities are quite complete
The gym facilities are average
The parking lot has narrow corridors, which is not convenient for large vehicles
The hotel is in a good location near Jinjijin supermarket and restaurant

SShuQinConveniently located. Just a 5-10mins walk from the isite bus stop. Many restaurants nearby. Room is located on the ground floor. Room is slightly small and is quite packed with 4pax in the room. But the bathroom is huge.
