4-Star Hotels in Oita Prefecture, Japan

I stayed at the hotel with a plan that included meals. The semi-private room gave me a sense of privacy, and the food was delicious and I was very satisfied, but I would have been more satisfied if they had provided a little more service, such as drinks and food that I couldn't eat. The rooms were spacious and had a free-flowing hot spring, which left my skin feeling smooth and allowed me to relax in nature.

Rooms are a tad bit small but standard for japanese hotels. Location is very good, a few minutes walk from Beppu station and lots of eateries closeby. I love that this hotel had a rooftop pool with amazing view of beppu (although pool very shallow). We had a nice little soak in the hotel onsen however my partner stated the onsen was a bit dirty in the male section. We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the free flow of alcohol for 1000 yen due to time constrain but would be good for alcohol lovers! Would definitely recommend and return! Nice, clean and friendly staff!

A bit old hotel but we really enjoyed to stay here. We had breakfast and dinner for our stay. The food are very yummy and well presented. Highly recommended to take their food during your stay.

This is a newly opened hotel before the epidemic. I have always wanted to go there, and I finally went this time. The overall evaluation is OK, but because we are lazy, we chose to stay for three nights, and it was really boring on the last day. The scenery is still worth checking in, but the food is really no advantage compared to Japanese hot spring hotels, and the breakfast set meal also feels completely insufficient. And because it has to be different every day, it was OK on the second day, but it was completely unacceptable on the third day. So it is still recommended to go, but staying for one night or at most two nights is enough.

Room is clean and the onsen is wonderful. But the best is the dinner and breakfast! Will come back again!

I recently stayed at a hotel booked through Trip.com, and while the location, cleanliness, and facilities were quite nice, I had a very disappointing experience with the service provided by the hotel staff. When I booked the hotel, the description on Trip.com (in Korean) clearly indicated that the room would have two beds and two floor beds. However, upon arrival, we found that the room only had two beds and one floor bed. When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the hotel staff, they informed me that we would need to pay extra for an additional floor bed. They explained that the description in the itinerary merely indicated the maximum capacity of the room and that, since we had booked meals for only three people (breakfast and dinner), we could not receive an extra floor bed at no charge. I opted for the three-person meal plan because one of my family members is a five-year-old child who does not eat much, and I wanted to avoid unnecessary food waste. I understand that interpretations of the itinerary may vary, but the attitude of the hotel staff was unacceptable. During my communication with them, I was put on hold for five minutes, only to be told that there was nothing they could do. After urging them to adhere to the terms of the itinerary, I was placed on hold again for ten minutes. Unfortunately, I had to hang up as it was time for dinner, and the hotel did not follow up with any response after I returned. This experience significantly affected my family's mood, and what was supposed to be a pleasant stay turned into a frustrating ordeal. I hope that Trip.com can address this issue to prevent future guests from having similar experiences.

It is really a treasure hotel, a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel, not big, small but exquisite, realizing the desire of soaking in hot springs in nature. The scenery outside the hot spring is different in four seasons, and it is more beautiful in winter or cherry blossom season. Dinner is kaiseki cuisine in the room, and breakfast is a bit bland. I especially want to praise the waiter in the dinner room, which is really a true Japanese service. The waiter who sent us to the car after checking out the next day, two young ladies carried our luggage and trotted all the way on the mountain road. It's a pity that we only booked one day, and it's so tight in the off-season. It's worth coming again for this hotel.

This hotel is average, but cheap, and very close to the JR station, so it's very convenient to get around. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the station. It's very convenient to go to Beppu and Yufuin. If I have a chance to come next time, I will continue to stay here. After all, it's very convenient to go out, and the breakfast is also good.

Super amazing environment and nice staff. The room and the in-room onsen is 10/10. The only drawbacks are the location and the food wasn’t really well seasoned. I was expecting more from their food.

It is a business hotel and does not have facilities such as a large bath or swimming pool, but it is suitable for us who come and go in a hurry. The hotel is next to Oita Chuo-dori, which is convenient for dining and shopping. All the hotel staff are very friendly and patiently explained to us everything including check-in and check-out, parking, restaurant, etc. The hotel is on a relatively high floor with a wide view. The room has a large window. You can lean against the window and watch the JR passing by, or the Sunflower ferry entering the pier. It's really fun! The bed and pillows were also very comfortable. The hotel has a complete range of amenities, even disposable towels are provided. The breakfast variety is very rich, and it also serves many local specialties, such as chicken tempura, mentaiko, fish tea rice, etc. One Harmony members can use the lobby lounge, as well as enjoy parking and dining discounts, which is very thoughtful. The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the room uses a central heating system. No matter how the air conditioner is adjusted, it is always warm. Even if a few windows in the room can be opened, the indoor temperature is not greatly improved. The temperature is too hot and affects sleep.
