The room was cleaner than what I thought. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very nice.
The house was near Bewdley station which was worth for visiting.
Arrived late at night. Painless check in. Pleased to see that the bar was open until 2am.
Room itself was clean but the decor in the hallways and the carpets are tired and stained.
Hot breakfast was luke warm at best despite seeing a member of staff testing the food temperatures. The hot food trays might have been well over 62 degrees but the sausages and bacon in them weren't very hot. I do appreciate that it's difficult to keep dry hotplate food hot. Perhaps it's time to step out of the 70's and actually cook the breakfasts to order?
Still a step up from the standard Premier Inn / Travelodge rooms.
This hotel is a great base to explore Kidderminster and the Worcestershire countryside - and we're close to West Midlands Safari Park and Severn Valley Railways too. The building is a grade II listed converted mill, with a bar that has an almost New York loft atmosphere. Let off steam going for a country walk. Or enjoy the power of steam at Severn Valley Railway Museum. Make a clay pot at Hartlebury Castle. Or make a detour through the animal magic of the West Midlands Safari Park. Then it's time for some serious relaxing with our extra-comfy beds and The Kitchen restaurant.
We have stayed here several times and fed back to managers about the poor state of the tables & chairs in the breakfast area. Although my feedback (with photos) was not acknowledged, on our last visit just before xmas, we noticed the badly stained and chipped tables had been replaced or refurbished, and the badly stained and dirty seating had been cleaned and/or replaced, so that it now feels comfortable to sit on them. So I'm pleased my feedback may have contributed to these much needed changes.
However the window frames in our room were in a terrible state, covered in black mould and in desperate need of repair or replacement. Not a healthy presence to have anywhere. So hopefully this review will be seen by the right person/people and acted upon.

GGuest UserVery pleasantly surprised by the motel. Rooms were a decent size, had a bath (with shower overhead), a fan that was useful for our warm summer night. Staff were friendly and efficient. As the motel is located on the North bound M5 services, it was great to find out there was 'secret' exit if you wanted to exit to the South. Although our room faced the car park, it was very quiet at night and we slept undisturbed with the window open. Would stay again.

GGuest UserGreat location for a hotel - closer to city centre with a nice walk across the river to get there. Convenient stop to visit family in my home-town.
Over-all a good hotel, clean room and comfortable bed. We didn't come into contact with any staff or stay for breakfast as we were in late and out early, so we can't comment on those. We loved that the room had a bath - this was lovely! The only downside was the the taps seemed to have some mould inside the pipes... it didn't come out into the water but it did look pretty disgusting hanging there in the running water :/
Other than that, this hotel gave us everything we would expect from a quick stop over :)

RRichardReally enjoyed the stay here, in the countryside, quiet.
My room was phenomenal, a suite with separate seating area and TV with a super comfy bedroom.
Decor was in great condition and the view over the river was stunning.
Food in the restaurant was good and a bargain price with the 10% discount you receive for staying there.
Staff were great warm and friendly.
Would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserWe booked a room for an assistance dog and we're put on the second floor right beside the lift so was very noisy which upset the dog causing him to bark a lot . Also not ideal on 2nd floor with a disability taking the dog out for a wee every few hours . 😡
GGuest UserStaff excellent. Right next to shops, restaurants and the hills.
Room very comfortable but not colour co ordinated at all. Old fashioned and just white. Shower over bath always difficult as you get older. Walk in shower much better. Supplied shower gel in small, fiddley plastic tubes could do with modernising.
CCaz64This hotel offers an excellent service from helpful and kind staff. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Free on-site parking. Very tasty breakfast with lots of choice of freshly cooked items. The location overlooks the river with its beautiful tow path walk. Highly recommended for all types of guests.
GGuest UserGreat room clean bright and comfortable.
Staff so helpful, lovely receptionist helped with directions and tips for me. I want to go back. Definitely one of the top places I’ve stayed in!
