The hotel lobby here has a great view, but other facilities are really average. There are not many choices for meals including breakfast, but their staff are very kind. Furthermore, not having its own beach is a major drawback, after all, its location Already at the beach. We booked a double bed, but both children couldn't get up to have breakfast, but they forced us to have breakfast for four people, which made me feel a little uncomfortable.

The hotel is clean, the parking is safe, the water park and the pool are clean and inviting. The hotel staff are lovely in every department. The breakfast is good. You can walk across to the beach to play. The beach is clean. Overall, everything is very good.

This hotel is more suited to families with young kids. No proper pool for adults to swim laps in and for some peace of mind. The beach was average. The bed was most comfortable, however the design of the bathroom door is weird as the door knocks against the toilet bowl when opened. Lights over the toilet bowl were also too dim. Drying rack was too small and not suitable for hanging items bigger than a tea towel. No privacy in the patio as hotel crew and any guest(s) from the next room can cross over anytime.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel ! Highly recommend, the location is incredible with a direct access to the beach. The staff is very helpful and provides a lot of amenities.

The hotel is pretty old, you can tell. But the area of the hotel is still nice, 2 swimming pools and it feels like you’re in the middle of jungle and the restaurant is on the beach together with fire shows almost every night. The beach itself though wasn’t the best experience. It’s too shallow and water wasn’t clear.

We were very happy with our room with a private pool. The room was spacious and well apointed. Also Clean and well maintained. We found all staff very helpful especially when we found our car with a flat tyre. The only negative for us was that the resort is located on a hill and there were a lot of stairs to negotiate which was an issue for my wife. Also the resort offers not only rooms with private pool but als a delightful cliff top pool. (up more stairs) Plus a very nice sandy beach area so covers all the options.

Beautiful scenary however family and junior rooms are up the hill which is a bit secluded from facilities and the beach. There is however a hillside pool with a slide especially for families but no poolbar present.

Highly recommended this resort!!! Very nice place and location is amazing, located in the best beach in Koh Chang and it’s not far from the pier, there is convenient store and ATM in front of the resort. The resort has everything you need and fully of facilities. The food is delicious and reasonable price. All staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back!!!

The hotel reopened three weeks ago after a complete remodel under new management. There is no direct beach, but a long sandy beach begins a few steps to the right. Lots of Russian guests. Unfortunately, from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, the entire pool area is filled with loud music, so those looking for peace and quiet are out of place here. The concept is probably a beach club. Otherwise, the hotel leaves nothing to be desired. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very well furnished. At the moment, the service staff are not yet well trained, especially with regard to reserving the few sun loungers.

Beautiful cabin, bright room, great location on the west slope, close to a beautiful sandy beach with colorful fish stocks. Most of the staff were friendly, the cleanliness of the room was adequate. The biggest problem was some unpleasant guests. It was a nice stay. Thank you very much for that.

Very clean, freshly renovated rooms (building K). Each room has a hot pot kettle. But mattresses are quite hard. Fresh water, shampoo, toilet paper and trash bags daily. Good breakfast buffet. Always different kinds of one of each: soup, fried rice, noodles, vegetable and chicken dish. Three types of fruit and salad bar. However, there is only one person preparing eggs and pancakes, which results in a long queue. And only instant coffee. Location is nice, but the hotel doesn’t practically have its own beach (as well as pool, sun beds and beach towels). During the low tide, it’s impossible to swim due to bushes of seaweed. The beach is nice for morning swims and evening walks. Also elephants are brought there for a swim multiple times a day.

The service you get at Far East is great. Ask for something and it happens straight away. We asked reception for bins to be changed and it happened straight away. I then asked cleaners to do it all days we were there and they did plus new towels and waters. The breakfast has a good variety. There is a guy who makes coffees for you and you can see he takes pride in the craft. On our third day he saw us walk in and made it without asking- lovely. The grounds are well looked after. It seems to be raked every day. There was a cat poo near our room one morning. When we came home from exploring, it was gone. It is walking distance to resteraunts. We'd stay again.

Just okay. Near the beach but the rooms are outdated. The staff service could be better. When we checked in there is no one at the reception. Then in the evening they called me and say they couldnt charge my credit card and need me to go pay immediately. After i went to the reception i told the staff it was not my credit card and that i paid via trip. They let me wait for like 10 min on checking other things. Can rent motorcycle from resort 300 baht per day which is reasonable. Breakfast was so so.

The wCham’s house is a wonderful place , very well located on great beach … But … the staff doesn’t speak very well English ( apart from the responsable persons in every service) . But gettinginformation at the reception is very difficult and getting g the right info at the restaurant ( apart from the menu) is also not possible. The management should really invest in English courses for their staff , as well as invest in the maintenance ( very , very poor) . It looks like that after the pandemic, the owners of Cham’s house want to earn a maximum of money , without investing.. it’s a pity that this wonderful place is loosing it’s glamour ..

Every time I come to Koh Kood, I stay at only the Captain Hook resorts. This time I brought my elders with me. I couldn't book in time, so there was only Captain Hook, a pool suit room left. I usually come on weekdays, but this time I came during the New Year period. The weather was great, the sea was clear, and diving around the resort was the end. There were a lot of fish, medium, and large. The accommodation is suitable for those who like peace and quiet. There is no beach in front of the resort, but you have to kayak across, less than 50 meters.

The hotel is very cozy. We lived in a bungalow with a sea view. The advantages include: 1. Clean rooms and bed linen 2. No insects or other living creatures in the rooms. 3. A really good view - double bungalows are located in the first row right by the sea, the beauty is indescribable! 4. The beach. Yes, this is the southernmost beach and it is quite far from the main infrastructure of the island. But it is simply beautiful! Apart from the Secret AWD Beach, this is the best on the island. Shallow entrance to the sea, the cleanest, literally transparent water, soft sand without stones which is pleasant to walk on! On the pier you can take ”Instagram” photos and admire the fish that literally swim here in schools. 5. The breakfasts were good. 6. The family atmosphere of the hotel. Everything is very cozy here. The hostess cooks in the kitchen herself, she strives to help you. We came to the island directly from Cambodia, without having time to change money, the banks were closed that day, so the owner changed our money herself at a good rate. The other guests are also very nice people, and if you know English, you can make new acquaintances. For example, our neighbor in the bungalow, as it turned out, came to this hotel for the tenth time, and I understand why. 7. Well, in general, the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. When you sit in the bar, you get the impression that you ended up in one of the films of the 80-90s about adventures in hot countries or in a video of the band La ketchup. Very atmospheric. The disadvantages are minor, but they still need to be mentioned: 1. Upon check-in, we discovered that one towel, apparently, was forgotten to be washed. It is strange that no one noticed this, because it smelled strongly of sweat. 2. The price in the bar-restaurant is quite expensive. This is especially aggravated by the fact that the hotel is on the very edge of the island and the only alternative within walking distance is a restaurant 800 m from the hotel - but the food there, although cheaper, is spicy. 3. Still, you need to understand that the conditions in the bungalow are quite Spartan. Our bungalow did not have a refrigerator (there are in the rooms on the second line), nor a kettle (hot water was in the bar). The room is no frills. The shower is very simple next to the toilet and in general the bathroom already needs renovation. But the price of the hotel is the lowest of all the hotels on the island (those near the beach). However, the atmosphere and the beach more than compensate for these shortcomings)

An incredible stay at Mira Montra from start to finish. We were so impressed by the service, including pick up from the boat (which we didn't even explain when we were due to arrive), the free kayaks/paddle boards, the complimentary afternoon tea, quality of the rooms and the caring nature of the staff. They helped to arrange and drop us off at our next boat, which made it much less stressful. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The view was to die for, and the resort itself was a close bike ride to the other bars/restaurants. We can not comment about the lunch or dinner in the hotel as we ate elsewhere and also rented a bike from down the road. I'm so glad we made this trip and chose to stay here. I would definitely recommend!

Rooms are very nice the only downside of the room was barely no hot water. Beach is beautiful. Service and staff was good ok but lots of trainees and not well managed and trained personell. Breakfast was way under average in terms of quality and especially variety. Not even 3 stars in this respect. Food and service at the beach restaurant was good especially the service from K. Namphung and her team was very good. Cleanliness of the entire resort including pathways, water ponds can be improved.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we liked its location - close to Bang Bao Beach, but at an affordable price. For ease of movement around the island, the hotel staff offered us a good motorbike without any deposit. The owner of the hotel, Jay, is generally a very attentive and welcoming host, ready to help with any issue. He told us about interesting places on the island that are worth visiting, where to eat, and even where is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. At our request, Jay arranged our return transfer to Bangkok via speedboat and private comfortable car. The room we lived in was large, very bright and stylishly decorated. The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and snow-white bed linen. The air conditioner is modern, not noisy, and quickly cooled a fairly large room. From the room there is access to a small terrace with a tea table and a view of the garden, there is a clothes dryer. The room has a modern TV with smart TV function and Internet access. The bathroom is spacious, the instantaneous water heater worked well, and there are personal hygiene items. Beach towels and a mat are provided for guests to relax on the beach. Upon check-in, guests will receive a compliment from the hotel. We had a great time at the hotel and would love to come back again, Thanks Jay 🙏

We have just spent a wonderful 5 days here and it was a blissfully peaceful and tranquil stay. At first we were a little unsure about how remote and cut off it seemed but within a very short time, we had completely forgotten about the outside world. Shantaa resort had everything you could need for a truly relaxing stay. The villas are super comfortable, spotlessly clean and set in lovely gardens which roll down to the sea. The bathroom is an outdoor room which has its own pretty little tropical garden feature. Everything is tastefully furnished, the beds are very comfortable and everything is kept lovely and clean. The outside terrace has beanbag sofas which are great for lounging on. The pool area is great, nice beds and plenty of towels and bottled water available. The restaurant serves an à la carte breakfast which was really lovely. A lot of thought and effort goes into how the food and drink is made and presented. There is an extensive dinner menu and all the meals we took were of an excellent standard and really very inexpensive. The cafe, which has a lovely setting by the sea, serves lunches and drinks throughout the day and everything we ordered was super fresh and of a very high standard. All in all, a wonderful stay, we felt we had been on a health retreat!

All in all, a wonderful stay, we felt we had been on a health retreat!

Facilities: I have stayed in the best hotel in Thailand and the founder of Six Senses, so it is quite similar to Six Senses, but it feels better than Six Senses Koh Samui. Maybe the location and the pick-up by private jet and yacht will make the experience even more upgraded. The brightest point is that the hotel's breakfast is superb Environment: very good feeling back to nature Hygiene: excellent and impeccable Very satisfied with the 3-week trip to Thailand. Soneva is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Thailand. From the environment to the service to the additional items of the hotel, I recommend everyone to go diving and fishing. The price is also very reasonable. I plan to go there again at the end of the year
