"As a four-star hotel, it largely meets the four-star standard. It's a high-traffic hotel, but the service in all aspects is quick, and they also offer personalized service. It's part of The Star group, so the hotel's location is integrated with The Star complex, and the buildings are all interconnected. I noted in advance that we were celebrating my child's birthday, and they prepared a greeting card and a toy bear, which made my child very happy. In the evening, my child had a cough and was a bit sick, throwing up on the bed. Housekeeping quickly brought new bedding without a single complaint or extra cleaning fee, and they were very caring towards my child. The only minor drawback might be the parking. It's a bit roundabout; you have to go to The Star's car park and follow the instructions carefully. However, the hotel sent parking instructions a day or two before check-in, which was very helpful."

"Nice looking resort but too noisy & enclosed environment.. Rooms were very small for price of room. We ended cancelling 2 extra nights because it was not accommodating for couples & staff weren't really interested. Too many children in pool area &was not at all relaxing environment. Quite disappointed as we have stayed at much nicer resorts for less money."

We had a great stay at Paradise Hotel on the Gold Coast. The staff kindly upgraded our room, which gave us a beautiful river view — such a nice surprise. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. Parking was also convenient and easy to access, which made everything much more relaxing. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and we would happily stay again.

Surfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

Every time I visit the Gold Coast, I stay at the Marriott, and the breakfast is always great. However, the caps on the shampoo and other toiletries can be easily opened, which raises some safety concerns. After 6 PM, there are no staff or services at the pool, and it's not lit. For children with UV allergies who wish to swim in the evening, it's not possible. December is summer in Australia, so it gets dark late. I hope the hotel considers extending the pool's closing time, especially since guests are here for a holiday. Thank you.

I booked an apartment, but the service was surprisingly good. I was a bit worried based on previous reviews that apartment service might not be as great. Due to heavy rain and a flight delay in Melbourne, I didn't check in until almost midnight. I asked about adding breakfast, and the lady at check-in immediately registered me for a Langham membership, saying I could get 50% off breakfast using that membership number. I wasn't happy with the view from the first room. Later, a very beautiful Asian lady at the front desk had a colleague show me a new room, and I only switched once I was sure about it. Super awesome!

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, right downstairs from the night market. Their beef noodles are a real highlight, providing comfort for Chinese palates. The hotel's convenient location also means it's just a 10-minute walk to the cruise terminal and very close to the waterfront promenade, which is great for a stroll. The hotel's own bar is super chill, with live music in the evenings – perfect for a drink and a chat.

This hotel was conveniently located, making it a great base for sightseeing. Having a supermarket on the first floor and many dining options nearby was incredibly helpful during our stay. The tram station was also close by, making it easy to get around. The room was spacious, more than enough for a couple, which made our stay feel a bit luxurious. The view was good, and having a pool was a nice bonus. While I felt the cost performance was a bit high, there might be a range of prices depending on the room type and floor. On the other hand, the sound of traffic was a minor issue in our 16th-floor room (river-facing). Also, the air conditioning was a bit inconvenient as it could only be used in either the living room or the bedroom, requiring a switch. The washing machine worked fine, but I couldn't figure out how to use the gas stove, so a simple explanation would have been appreciated. It was also a slight disappointment that the indirect lighting (a larger lamp) couldn't be used. The reception staff were courteous, and it was a great help that they stored our luggage. They provided extra towels when requested. Overall, I think this is a highly satisfying hotel for those who prioritize location, room spaciousness, and cost performance.

I don't understand why there's no room service. You have to actively contact them for services like towel changes. You also have to clean the room and empty the trash yourself. Plus, when checking in, they only accept credit cards for the deposit. I don't know why they refused cash; they didn't give any specific reason, just said they don't accept it. Luckily, I wasn't charged any inexplicable fines. After staying for three or four days, it felt pretty normal. No insects were seen, and the room was large. But there was just no service. I wonder if all hotels in Gold Coast are like this. The location, I think, is quite convenient. There's a subway station right downstairs, and within a 10-minute walk, there are many restaurants. It mainly depends on where you're going.
