5 minutes Walking distance to tourist bus station if want to go pokhara
Staff was helpful
Booked the bus ticket to pokhara
Noisy room with horn
Good hot shower, aircond
I stayed here for one night in preparation for my flight the next day.
I only needed to sleep, so I chose it on a budget, but I was surprised at how clean it was for the price.
I hate my toilet getting soaked, so I was very happy that there was a shower curtain✨
The temperature and amount of water in the shower was perfect, and the toilet flushed well. The lock was a card type, and it closed securely.
We stayed in room 201, which did not have a fan, but did have a working air conditioner.
It was within walking distance of the airport, and it was great value for money🥰
Hotel Diana - A brand new hotel, just a few minutes walk to/from the airport, very good service and breakfast there, I would recommend this hotel to those who need overnight transit or to take early morning flight !
Although it is not a five-star hotel, it already feels like a five-star hotel in Nepal! The room is large and clean, and the view from the room is also very good. Two bottles of bottled water are free. After drinking, you can ask the hotel staff to help fill the water (not sealed bottled water).
The restaurant is divided into indoor and outdoor areas, and the menu is the same. I personally feel that it is not surprising. Dinner can be divided into buffet or a la carte.
It is recommended that everyone choose this hotel if they want to go to Nagarkot.
If you want to experience the Nepalese style, this is a very good choice because it feels like living in an ancient monument. The equipment in the room has been tidied and the comfort is very good. The hotel is near the Great Pagoda, about a 15-minute walk away, so you can have a quick look at the city.
I love this hotel so much, they are so welcoming, sweet and lovely, their neatness level is 100%
The food so lovely, I enjoyed their breakfast so much. I’m definitely visit Nepal because of this hotel again ❤️
Extremely wonderful hotel 15 minutes walk from the airport. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and I always felt well taken care of. The gym is well stocked and has a great view of the city. Breakfast was another highlight and included many delicious Nepalese, Indian, and Western foods. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, helping me call taxis for a cheaper fare than the tourist rip off price, and they also helped me store my luggage overnight while I went on a yoga retreat. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!
My stay at Lakhey Hotel exceeded every expectation! From the moment I arrived, the staff (special shoutout to deeya and boss ming treated me like family. Their warmth and fluency in English, and Mandarin, made communication effortless—especially helpful for booking tours!

Was for a business event in Kathmandu - busy schedule. Marriott is a super hotel : sizeable rooms to also get some work done in the evening. Food was fantastic, both breakfast and dinner. No need to look for restaurants outside the hotel! And also not too far from the airport.
We spent wonderful time during our stay at hotel Shankar through trip.com booking 🤗

Great
GGuest UserThe rooms were clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a much appreciated/needed balcony for drying the soaking clothes after our rainy hike. The service was quick and friendly, starting with the very nice security guard at the gate and ending with the front desk employees who were efficient and polite. The only real downside was that the hot water wasn't really working well at all in the shower, which was a bit of an issue considering I was in dire need of a good shower after my hike. But overall, a great value for anyone looking to stay in downtown Kathmandu in a convenient location!
GGuest UserWe had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel for a total of 6 nights, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff displayed an authentic and warm hospitality that made us feel truly at home. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with every request went above and beyond our expectations.
One of the highlights of our stay was the remarkable cleanliness and tranquility of our room. It was evident that great care was taken to ensure a pristine environment, allowing us to relax and unwind in utmost comfort. The icing on the cake was the superb internet reception, which allowed us to stay connected seamlessly throughout our stay.
Our stay was punctuated by delightful mornings indulging in an exquisite breakfast spread. The puri or chapati and curry quickly became our favorites, perfectly complemented by the aromatic masala tea and the flavorful masala omelette – a true culinary delight!
The hotel's al fresco dining experience was an absolute treat. The ambiance was charming, and the food left an indelible mark on our taste buds. With each meal, we explored a plethora of different dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. It's safe to say that the culinary offerings exceeded our expectations in every way.
A noteworthy mention is the hotel's convenient proximity to Boudha Stupa, a mere 10-minute walk away. This made our visits to the stupa incredibly convenient and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in its serene atmosphere.
What sets this hotel apart is not only its remarkable amenities and services but also the unique opportunity it offers. The daily free yoga and meditation sessions held within the monastery on the premises are truly transformative. We highly recommend inquiring about the schedule from the attentive hotel staff – it's an experience that added immeasurable value to our stay.
In summary, our time at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of attentive staff, immaculate rooms, delectable cuisine, and the added touch of free yoga and meditation sessions make this hotel a standout choice for anyone seeking a memorable stay near Boudha Stupa. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to fellow travelers looking for an unforgettable experience.
Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay truly remarkable – we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to return!
Tip: Indulge in delightful puri & curry breakfast, relish al fresco dining, rejuvenate with free daily yoga. A tranquil oasis near Boudha Stupa.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, historic building. Staff was attentive and kind. Adjacent to the hotel are nice restaurants (Nepalese, Indian and very fine French). I've made use of the small but practical gym, thereafter the sauna and finishing and cooling off in the outside pool.
Only 10-15m away from the airport (outside rush hours).
I'll certainly come again.
GGuest UserI moved from nearby hostels to find a better accomodation and this hotel is truly delivers, esp with Trip.com huge discount!
The room is spacious and clean
It is brightly light and the AC works well
The staffs are nice and helpful
The breakfast is good
The distance to Thamel area is near
Will definitely recommend to stay at this hotel.
CCookieStayed at this hotel for a week and it was okay . First day they gave me a very small room far from what I had paid for . The next morning the receptionist decided to move me to the room that matched what I paid for . The location is good , close to the tourist area. At night it’s loud outside but then it’s something you can work with . They have a rooftop restaurant with delicious dishes . I enjoyed the food throughout my stay. If I ever come back again , I will book this hotel again .
MMH RONYThey are very welcoming, and the reception staff was awesome. They accept international visa card. Every floor have a nice balcony for gossiping, eating coffee and smoking. With this budget, best hotel.
My room was 404.
Problems:
1. The telephone was not dead.
2. Curtains are very thin so in the morning you can't sleep in the sunlight.
3. The doors and windows are very old, that's why if someone is talking outside of the room you will hear everything and maybe they also hear you.
4. They just provide tissue and soap, they didn’t provide toothbrush, toothpaste, or shampoo. So if you booked this hotel keep this with you.
5. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you don't like the stairs, is it not for you and you can talk to the hotel before booking for the 2nd floors room.
AAnonymous UserYou can use UnionPay cards, and if you stay for three consecutive days, you will get free airport pick-up and two pieces of free laundry every day. The car that was sent to pick us up at the airport was a domestically made new energy vehicle, which was awesome. The breakfast also had local specialties and was pretty good. The cocktails at the hotel's pool bar were delicious. The service from Lasta and Sushil in the restaurant was great. Lasta was always smiling, and she was also very pretty and polite. And Nabaraj, a very young guy in the hotel lobby, was very welcoming. Of course, some waiters have average attitudes, but overall I'm satisfied. It's about the domestic four-star standard. The room is relatively small, and the Marriott next door is also average. There's no choice in Kathmandu.
GGuest UserThe hotel service was almost impeccably superb.
I arrived and was departed by the same polite receptionist, Manoj.
The bed was cozy, the toilet was nice (equipped with a range of toiletries) and the interior room was just wonderful.
Breakfast was decent and simple.
The staff were always ready to serve you.
The welcoming atmosphere was somewhat delightful.🫠
The manager even helped us with our planning of Kathmandu- Pokhara and provides all the necessary details that we need to know over there. Saves us a lot of time. 👍🏼
The location was just right. Easily walking access to nearby food place and market for essential buyings.
Just that the tv programs were all news channels, that was a slight bummer but most of the time we were out so it doesn't really matter.
And our room view was limited maybe because we were on the lower floor but the home style feels overcame the restriction.
There is a saying:
”Perfect goodbyes leave nothing unsaid, thereby there's nothing left to come back for.”
Overall, even with just 18 rooms in this hotel, I didn't regret making it my destination to rest at Kathmandu.
It was truly a lovely place and I hope it prospers widely in the future.
Lastly, for all the staff in Kumari Boutique Hotel who appreciate our existence that one week stay, thank you a lot! 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
