Exceptional. Recommended. Worth the price. Room rates with buffet breakfast included good for 2 pax, only in seasky! Friendly boss and staff. So nice. Appreciate every little details as a tourists needed, like dryer in every floor, water dispenser, 24hrs ice cubes in the dinning area for guests, hot water. so peaceful and comfortable bed. Free parking area, not to mention it's very spacious, so if you have a car, a van, or whatever, you can park it here. Internet is good. Fluctuation is the problem in the entire island since last year, but the hotel has a generator, so no need to worry if there's a power interruption. Overall, higly recommend!

In Butuan for vacation since it’s been 5 years. Friendly staff..but when we went, I didn’t realized the swimming pool was under repair so that was a little disappointing . I’ll make sure to call next time.

Everytime I come home, Watergate is my home.❤️ My one call away friend, Kate, deserves a big shoutout because she's always helping me with my bookings. I know there are times that she's not on duty, she always finds way to help me. This is one of the good things I love about watergate, they are willing to go extra mile for their guests!❤️ My current stay here in watergate became extra because they prepared a welcome note for me inside my room. Location wise it's great. Beachfront with a good pool. We stayed 6 days at their new and spacious Premier Villa. HOWEVER, they could do much better in terms of staff training, customer service, and breakfast food selections. Accomodation is quite pricey - similar to big brands in Boracay, Mactan and Panglao. So you would expect similar service from hotels in those areas. The staff rarely greet you and arent very attentive. We travel a lot and it's the first time my one year old child is being charged for the breakfast buffet. I thought they were kidding at first. Breakfast choices are very limited and repetitive. Had to ask the front desk to give us child friendly food options since our kids are charged for the buffet per day. Overall would give them a 3 out of 5.

The Grand Palace Hotel was a real let-down, starting with not living up to what they say. They claim to provide tea & coffee in the rooms, but there's no tea. Their web site says they have an airport shuttle, but they don't. Breakfast was disappointing too. Only 2 juices. Luckily one was usually pineapple. As well as the usual lukewarm breakfast items, they had some random cakes that were as bland as cardboard. Fortunately, you can walk through the Annex, cross the road and a few metres to your right is a bakery that sells doughnuts for 6 pesos that are vastly better. The hotel has guards with assault weapons and dogs. Seems pretty ridiculous and unsafe. Also the dogs spend most of their time living in cages alone next to the swimming pool. I had two bookings here, the first in a big king room. (They call it a ”matrimonial” room!) The WiFi mostly didn't work. It's totally inadequate for the number of people who use it, especially if a big business group comes in for a conference during the day. (The DHCP server just runs out of addresses and you can't connect until someone else disconnects.) Even when it connected, it wasn't very fast. One other issue I had was the appearance of cockroaches every so often. The small single room was a vast improvement, as well as being half the price. While the single rooms have no windows, they have two massive advantages. Firstly, fast WiFi that works. The single rooms are in a hall behind the reception area and have their own access point that works brilliantly and isn't overloaded. Secondly, the small room doesn't have so many places for roaches to hide. I didn't see a single insect intruder. Note for those who might be confused by this site: The information and reviews on this page are for the Butuan Grand Palace Hotel. There is also an Annex. It was one of our favorite resort in Butuan City This was our First Resort Escapade for the year 2023 and it was indeed a well spent Staycation at Almont Inland Resort. Room Accomodation : The best area indeed since it is near the Kids Pool and we can enjoy the accomodation while letting the kids enjoy playing with other kids in the pool. Food : We do love thier variety of pizza flavors a must try at this place. This were aside from the sumptuous buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amenities : The resort's pool is one of the best here in butuan City. You can enjoy it from 7AM up to 9PM and have your foods serve at the cottages near it. One thing I love in this resort is the value of nature. Beautiful sceneries and very lavish green sorroundings that help you calm and forget the busy and noisy scene of the City. We will again visit this place from time to time since we love to bring our family in this resort and get a escape of a busy City Scenario. A great place to Relax and Unwind..

Stayed for 2 nights. The staff was pretty helpful. The rooms were adequate. The amenities is sufficient but could improve otherwise. Biggest drawback was it's location. The hotel is pretty far from the city centre. Just prepare to have your lunch in and dinn at the hotel as some delivery doesn't go all the way from the city to the hotel address. The pool was well maintained. The beach front is all murky and muddy. The shoreline was limited and was more rocky than sandy. They had a dinner entertainment the night we checked in but the singer informed us that it was more of a weekend gig. The sheets weren't changed on the 2nd night of our stay. The room was very spacious which was a plus. You would have to book premium rooms to get the sealine view otherwise you'll be stuck with a dead end wall. The room was spacious enough to fit 2 queen beds but the booking would only allow 2 persons when it could fit 4. You would have to pay extra for the ”extra bed”. It's strongest suit would probably be it's staff and it's worst is it's location. Also I think they should have a service that can transport guests from almont butuan to surigao. I would have paid extra for that.

Kudos to receptionist Jem and guard Kuya Mike fas they’re very accommodating and friendly all throughout my stay. I wish there were signages on closing the door slowly though as some foreigners dont mind their own manners when sharing quarters. Some throw their tissues in the toilet and dont tend to flush it, not sure if it’s their culture but something Mad Monkey has no control over. Bonus points on having a lot of bathroom to choose from. They also offer FREE SHOTS at the bar during night party. I booked the bunk through Trip.com for only 648 pesos. When I tried yo extend my stay, it’ll cost me more than 3 times more. So book ahead at trip.com for cheaper prices.

We were upgraded to a balcony view room as they had none of the room we booked available. The balcony room was amazing, very spacious and clean. The complex is also nice, with an area to chill out and a pool. The only issue we had with the hotel was the staff who could have been friendlier and more helpful. Otherwise a lovely stay just accross the road from the beach!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Trogon's Perch in Siargao for the second time in a week, and I'm already planning my next visit. Kalipay was in the best location ever, yet also like a sanctuary of peace! It helped that there weren’t too many guests when we were there too (as we were just at the beginning of the season). The staff were absolutely lovely and helped us book all of our motorbikes, transfers & surf lessons. We had the reception number on WhatsApp so if our plans changed we could easily contact them to help us - honestly, it took all the faff out of the holiday and meant we could really enjoy ourselves. The room was gorgeous and so big for 2 people! Great shower, air con or a ceiling fan, super comfy bed (if you prefer a slightly harder memory foam feel) & complimentary drinking water and tea. There was also a mini fridge of snacks which you did need to pay extra for but we enjoyed this to have a sweet treat post dinner! There are great drink / dinner options within a 2 minute walk, or 5 minute motorbike ride. We would recommend CEV for amazing ceviche (we went twice) & Goodies did a great cocktail. We also ate breakfast and lunch at Kalipay once and enjoyed both meals. Thank you so much to the Kalipay team - we’d come back in a heartbeat! Emma & Ed

I can say that this is One of the best resort at Siargao. Comfortable, spacious and cozy rooms. Friendly and hospitable staff. Good and heartwarming food. All you need in one good vacation - experience Siargao. Highly recommended place to stay!

Service was very good. For meals, I ate all kinds of smoothie bowls, but acai was the most delicious. The room was nice and clean, but I wish there was a way to prevent insects from coming. There were many mosquitoes and flies.

The service staff is very friendly. It is inevitable that the floor will be dirty after surfing, and they are also promptly cleaned. The hotel is close to the sea, and you can see the sunrise, but there are sharp reefs and no beach. The dinner options are OK. If you don't want to go out for dinner, you can eat in the hotel restaurant. A huge pitfall is that I had never expected before: the hotel restaurant has always had a resident band and DJ, but the volume is very loud, and it will last until 11 o'clock or even midnight. Even if you are tired from surfing during the day, it is difficult to fall asleep at night. In just a few days there, I have encountered several waves of guests who were unable to bear the disturbance and had to move out early. But the hotel management seems to be ***** and is completely indifferent to the guests' complaints. The staff is also helpless, and they only dare to tell me privately that it was not like this before, and the newly replaced management ”has a very wonderful imagination.” In addition, the wifi is always available and not available.
