Had a fantastic stay at Annika resort So relaxing in a superb location Food was very good and very helpful staff Lyra in particular was a standout with excellent English. I would highly recommend this place for a Stay while visiting the mountains

After lots of searching, we chose ANNICA — and it turned out to be the perfect choice! The location is absolutely unbeatable: just a 3-minute walk from the entrance to the National Park, where you’ll find the famous Avatar mountains and scenic rice terraces. A dream spot for hiking, incredible views, and those picture-perfect moments. We stayed in a room with a private terrace — and wow, the evening view from there was breathtaking. Watching the sun go down behind the peaks was pure magic. The room itself was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a huge shower and bathtub, which felt amazing after a day of hiking. The food at the hotel was delicious — don’t miss their fried rice at breakfast, it’s simple but surprisingly flavorful. A huge thank you to Lyra, who speaks excellent English and made our stay extra smooth and enjoyable. She helped with everything — from arranging transfers and park tickets to sharing local tips — always with a warm smile and great energy. If you’re planning to visit Zhangjiajie, we can’t recommend ANNICA enough. It’s a rare mix of nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality.

We had a great time staying here. Hotel is located right next to the park entrance which was very convenient. Special thanks to one of the stuff in the hotel Xiao Liu who helped us plan our itinerary every night and helped us get all the tickets necessary.

We had the most wonderful experience during our stay, thanks to the incredible help and kindness of Ivy, who works at the reception. She is the only Chinese person we met on our trip who speaks perfect English, and we honestly could not have managed without her. Ivy went above and beyond to help us organize our trip in China — from planning the perfect itinerary for both Zhangjiajie National Park and Tianmen Mountain, to patiently answering every question with warmth and care. Her support was absolutely priceless. When we returned to the hotel soaked and exhausted before our flight, the hotel manager also stepped in to help us dry off and pull ourselves together. They even arranged the best possible vehicle to take us to the airport, completely free of charge. We are beyond grateful. God bless all of them, and especially Ivy, who is truly the sweetest and most helpful person we've met on our journey. Xie Xie from the bottom of our hearts! The hotel itself is amazing with super comfortable rooms and a great location — just a short walk from the South Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this magical place. The dinner is tasty and nicely cooked!

Everything was perfect. Reception is always supporting the guest's trip. Chinese homemade style breakfast is so nice. The facility and view are amazing. Being located in front of the middle gate of the park, easy to access. However, to the east gate, which has a lot of restaurants and markets, is quite far so needs to take a taxi for 20mins.

The room is beautiful & exactly as advertised, even more spacious than expected. The host 小刘 is very professional and provided us with excellent customer service. Ride between hotel and train station can be arranged directly with him, and he also helped us customise our itinerary to Zhangjiajie National Park. Breakfast was nice & freshly prepared. Overall it was a wonderful stay. 谢谢小刘的招待 🙏🏼

"Our last night’s stay at Zhangjiajie National Park was at Vantu-Annica. The hotel was not in the best condition due to heavy rain the previous few days. We weren’t able to use the infinity pool, and the whole place felt a little **damp**. But our butler, Xiao Liu, was excellent and made up for all of the inconvenience. The bed was comfortable, and we slept very well."

Attentive service & great scenery around the hotel. Housekeeper (小覃) was helpful & contacted us via wechat & assist to plan out itinerary / book tickets if needed. Only thing to note is that the resort is located near Zhangjiajie National Park, but quite far from the central area (where most of the restaurants & shopping are at). About 40-60mins car ride.

We had a good experience at this hotel. Its location is unbeatable, situated just a few meters from the southwest entrance of the park, making it incredibly convenient. It takes only a 5-minute walk to reach the entrance, which was a major plus. The rooms were exactly as advertised spacious, modern, and comfortable. The hotels restaurant offered a reasonable menu, and excellent Chinese-style breakfast that we thoroughly enjoyed. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional service provided by Lyra. She reached out to us even before our arrival, ensuring everything was well-organized. Her support made all the difference during our stay. Lyra helped us plan activities within the park, purchase tickets, coordinate transportation, and even recommended a great restaurant in Wulingyuan, a town just 20 minutes away. The only downside was the hotels lack of maintenance of the building and surroundings and some humidity issues in the room. However, the positive aspects especially the excellent service and prime location more than made up for it. We recommend this hotel for a convenient and enjoyable stay!

Very beautiful hotel situated next to the gates of the national park, it’s 30 minutes drive from the city, therefore it’s very calm and rooms have great scenic views. Special great note to the interior design of the hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant prices however we thought are quite expensive. Overall we liked your stay there!

Our trip to Zhangjiajie couldn’t have been better! This hotel is a few minutes walking distance away from a secondary (non crowded!) entrance to the National Park. The view from the pool is facing the National Park too, which couldn’t be more beautiful. Same goes for the surroundings as the area is super calm, you can relax indeed. The restaurant serves good typical food (we highly recommend the sea bass fish - both versions). The breakfast is acceptable with a mix of asian western (although mostly Asian you can find such things as yogurt, croissants, butter and bread). The hotel could be improved in minor details, which we passed on to the team. But these won’t make your experience bad in anyway. What made our stay one of the best in this big China trip was our hostess named Fan! ＜3 She was always available for us, did the impossible to find anything we needed and surprised us all the time. She carefully planned all our itineraries for all the attractions, never forgot a single request and spoke English better than anyone else in the Team. She was 6 out of 5*. ;) Don’t miss Jojo, the beautiful and cute cat belonging to the hotel. :) Our room also included a transfer which we used to the airport by the end of the stay, driving us in time to our flight. We hope to be back one day. :)
