Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Ekimae Reviews

Enjoyed the racing of laundry machines daily while I was there, there are always many people waiting to use it. Anyway, generally a very cosy hotel. The rooms are not big, but not as small as Tokyo’s same price point. Breakfast menu doesn’t change, except for their Kyoto dessert of the day. Maybe they do change their menu, but at least not that I know of, I was there for a total of 5 days P.s: There’s a clam ramen stall just beside the hotel that’s always queueing. Pls don’t queue, it’s really not fantastic. If the queue is less than 5 people, that means it will probable be 30-40mins, you can give it a try. Otherwise, don’t bother. It’s not worth it.

Not far to the station. Staff are friendly. Nice room. Impressed by the welcome drink by the hotel. There is a popular ramen shop just beside the hotel, great taste.

The hotel is located near the Kyoto Station. The room size is larger than many hotels in Japan. The hotel provide free dessert and drinks after lunch hour, some snacks with beer or wine after 6pm. The breakfast is delicious and had lots of choice. During my stay, the hotel provide materials for making a tatami coaster. It is worth to stay in this hotel. I will choose this again when I come back to Kyoto.

The bed was uncomfortably hard, and only one pillow was provided, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The front desk staff seemed inattentive—one of the attendants appeared to be half-asleep during check-in, which didn’t leave a great first impression.

This was the perfect place for the business trip to Kyoto. Rooms were super clean. Staffs were very kind. And HAPPY HOURS were just amazing that I could taste Japanese desert (ice creams) and Japanese Sake for free.

Hotel is about a 7-8mins walk from Central Kyoto station, relatively convenient and accessible! Kyoto station has many shops and dining options which is great. The room was spacious and super clean, with a lounge sofa for us to relax as well, highly recommended!

The best hotel I've been to has great freebies and activities (bracelet making, free face masks, free alcohol during social hour, a free green tea parfait during afternoon tea). It is close to the station, a 10-minute walk. There is also an amazing ramen restaurant and yakitori restaurants nearby.

walking distance from the Kyoto Station, around 10 mins walk which is acceptable. The hotel lobby is spacious and the hotel offer free evening drink and afternoon tea which is unexpected. The hotel room is clean.

We were wowed by the entrance upon arriving. Our favourite part of the hotel is no doubt the amenities bar. The hotel also serves complimentary high tea and sake daily. Every staff we met were very eager to help and friendly. Breakfast spread was awesome too! Highly recommend.

We like how the check in was done through an automated system which was easy to use. A staff is nearby to help if help is ever needed. The hotel also offer amenities in the lobby for guests to self-help which even include facial products like make-up remover and masks. The hotel room was clean and beds were comfortable. The pillows provided are of 2 intensities - hard and soft so that guests can choose to use whichever work for them. Sufficient space in the hotel room. The service staff are always smiling and pleasant to talk to. When I called the front desk to check if I could borrow their travel adaptor and I offered to go down to collect from them. The front desk helped to deliver it up to my room in less than 5min. I really appreciate their effort. All in all, this hotel is very efficient and we enjoyed our stay.

Rooms are super small and you have to pay extra if you ask for an extra bed. Great location, very clean.
