We chose this gorgeous Ryokan because after backpacking in Japan for a month we felt like a treat to end our trip. It was a beautiful place to reflect upon our adventures. We hired a car so that we could explore the region and go into town when ever we wanted to (it’s located approximately 3km out of town up a hill). We bought a bottle of wine and snacks in the local supermarket and enjoyed a glass each evening in the garden. Sadly we were unable to experience their restaurant as they had not seen our email requesting this; however we found a some cute restaurants and cafes ate there instead. The hot springs really were 🥵 but great for our aches. Highly recommend as a beautiful private place to reconnect with your loved ones. It would be an amazing place for a wedding as everyone would be together and the gardens are so tranquil.

Location is very nice, except there's a gravel road before reaching the hotel. It's around 10min drive from downtown so it's close enough. Hotel is old but quite authentic and highend. There's a nice bridge you need to cross before going to the main hotel area. There are 2 private onsen you can just walk in, they are right next to the river, very nice experience. there are some bugs around so i wouldn't say it's all clean, but you are next to the mountain so i guess cant expect too much. worst thing is i did not notice my booking which is $400 usd, did not include dinner and breakfast, which is very standard for a onsen ryokan. I had go out and buy my own food when i expected to be in a yukata and eating nice hotel food.

Amazing place to stay at around Yufuin area, though you have to be driving otherwise would be very inconvenient. Shame about the restaurant onsite which is not reserved for hotel guests, strangely…

This hot spring hotel offers excellent value for money. I booked a one-night stay with two meals, and both breakfast and dinner were incredibly generous. The chef's meticulous attention to detail and the use of various ingredients were truly impressive! The receptionists were all very friendly, welcoming, and incredibly thoughtful. The next day, upon leaving the hotel and returning to Fukuoka, I discovered I had left my passport in the safe. I immediately contacted the front desk, who arranged for it to be sent to my hotel in Fukuoka by courier. It arrived the next morning, a real relief. I'm very grateful to the front desk lady for her efficiency.

Hotel service facilities: We drove there so we could drive directly to the hotel entrance. The entrance is not big, but there is free parking. In the mountains, the environment is very private and the air is fresh. I came here specifically to experience Japanese-style accommodation and hot springs. There are not many rooms in the whole hotel, and they are very clean. There are public hot springs and private hot springs in the rooms, but there is no place to take a bath in the room, so you need to go to the public hot spring to take a bath. Service: As soon as we arrived at the door of the hotel, two waiters came out to receive us, one to guide and one to help with luggage; we also sat there to check in in the lobby, with wet towels and drinks. We ordered breakfast and dinner, and they were delivered directly to the room at a set time; when we left, there would also be two waiters to greet us. The service is extreme. Food: Very rich and classic Japanese set meals. I don’t eat raw food, so I made arrangements in advance. There are vegetables, fish and seafood, which are very rich. Another point is that it is too close to nature, and occasionally various small animals will greet you 😂

All the staff were friendly. I felt like I was being treated well. It's a bit far from downtown Yufuin, but a taxi from the station costs about 1,000 yen. The ryokan is very large, so it was a bit far to go to the room after breakfast and dinner, but I was able to listen to the sound of water and look at the trees, and it was a quiet time. The family bath was really nice, but there weren't many guests, so I could use it freely, and there was no time limit for use, so I was happy. The room was also in the style of a traditional Japanese house, so I was able to really feel like I was traveling, and it was really nice. The food was delicious, but dinner was too loose for Koreans. I asked for the next dish to be served right away in the latter half. I need to know how to enjoy my time, but Korean blood can't be helped 🤭 Ah, Gettoan Original Takju! It was so delicious that I drank three bottles in total. I don't like alcohol, but I drank it all by myself! I was very disappointed that it wasn't sold. There weren't many reviews online, so I was half excited and half worried, but it was so much better than I imagined, so I was so happy about my first trip to Yufuin, and I think the aftertaste will last a long time. There were Korean staff members, and Japanese Ms. Lina is trying hard to learn Korean, so I was so grateful that she tried her best to speak Korean. I was touched that they even printed out the snapshots of the pictures they took of our first dinner. I will definitely visit again someday. We are a couple getting married soon, so we will visit as a couple next time. I think I will miss the takju too! It was so much fun.

Because the room I booked was large enough with a private bath, the hot spring was also very Japanese, but because it was winter, outdoor bathing was a bit difficult to accept, so my solution was to go to the public bath to take a bath and wash my hair. I liked the beef hot pot dinner the most, which was more delicious than expected. The service was also good.

It's a very Japanese-style hot spring hotel, the kind that good wine needs no bush, hidden in the mountains, with a unique style of ancient simplicity and solitude. The dinner service was great, the guy even shyly learned the Chinese names of the dishes to serve us, because he said his English was not good, but he tried hard to read out the Chinese words written in the small notebook, which seemed very sincere and attentive.

Awesome natural pool. The room we booked has a private bath. I really don't want to leave. It's so comfortable.

My aunt and I went on a date and enjoyed staying at a ryokan~~~
