Moxy Xi'an Downtown Reviews

Staycation New Year’s Eve in Xi’an, Moxy has it all. I chose to say here because when I lived in ShenZhen, I would stay at the Moxy and Longhorn as well as hang out there with friends.  I wanted to be near the bell tower, and although this hotel is a little bit more than the others on the street view, it has the things that I need and has the amenities as expected. Tammy from Shenzhen helped get me connected to Xi’an’s location. Anthony is managing here. Great service! There is a book lounge, gym, and laundry, as well as a full bar. Currently there is not the happy hour/dinner kitchen open, but multiple restaurants in the culture block attached (suggested it Masala Pakistani Restaurant). Street food is of quality too! Their breakfast is a mix of buffet and continental. The room I had overlooked the opera stage, museum, courtyard, and a beautiful morning of Qin singing and Opera alongside instruments. The sunrise and temple roof views spot on. This location has a music bar downstairs with a wonderful band as well as servers. Everything is decorated uniquely and also with the Moxy style. Their beds and pillows are so comfortable, and the simple set up of their hangers and furniture is really appreciated. I like the choice of their shampoos and bathroom amenities.  Sometimes the summer months can get a little bit more expensive, but if you book ahead, it’s most economical for the stay here because they have everything you need. We had an outstanding experience at this hotel! The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was phenomenal - offering a wide variety of options. Highly recommended!

Convenient location, easy access to local delights and historical sites. Responsive staff. Clean hotel and the all the necessities.

Hotel is located in a good location, just 5mins walk from Bell Tower and Metro station. Central heating during winter. Aircon cant be turned on. Windows can be opened for ventilation and some cool wind. Great service from the staffs. Breakfast spread is little but sufficient. Family room design is cute. Suitable with family with kids. Didi location is a little tough as the hotel doesnt have a driveway and we get alighted at different places though using same address.

Got a free upgrade to the room. Room size is great and looks new. Location is splendid with direct bus to Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum in walking distance at a price of 30RMB per pax. Staff is friendly and of great assistance. There's opera downstairs and noise might be a disturbance at some time.

We came 1.5 years ago and had such a good time staying at Xi’an Downtown Moxy, that we came back again. There are bare floors in the rooms 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 with a small mat by the bed. Hotel is a short walk from major attractions and malls, yet hidden away from the bustle at the Bell and Drum Tower Museum. Cheerful Chef Yuan made every breakfast a delight with very delicious 油泼面 , fried rice and wan tans in soup. All the reception/ service staff (Rain especially, Lucky and Lemon) were helpful and patient to my elderly parents’ queries about the area around the hotel. The hotel and the area around it were flat and accessible for our wheelchair user. Suggest to drop off in the Basement Carpark for wheelchairs.

The experience was really terrible!!！🤬🤬🤬 I've never stayed in such a bad room in a Marriott hotel. 1.The room was so small that I didn't know how to move around. There was no place to stand after putting down my suitcase. 2. The pillow was very uncomfortable. It was so soft that it lost its shape.3. The sound insulation was very poor. Early in the morning, I could hear the bell ringing, and the bar downstairs and the stage in the mall were extremely noisy.

Minimalist and youthful design hotel with great location,just few minutes walk to Metro station (钟楼站）. Nearby 1 small and 1 medium convenience stores. Few road stalls for morning breakfast (杂粮煎饼，肉夹馍必吃) and for night supper too. Great!

Excellent service from the house keeping. Well located and near to the bell tower metro station.

The hotel is located in the best spot around Bell Tower. The place is really nice and clean. The staff are really helpful. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone planned to visit Xi'an.
