Having personal parking in Varanasi is a huge advantage, and the option to arrive by boat through the Ganga makes the experience even more unique. Drive to Namo Ghat to the hotel, then transfer to the hotel boat and move to the hotel. For me, it was a very good experience to get on the boat without negotiating. ※ I think I can go to Namo Ghat even in Uber, but I was worried, so I applied for a round-trip hotel pick-up service. (It was one way 1800INR by Small Taxi.) Because it is along the Ganges River, Uber, including Rikisha, cannot be dispatched and only "walking" means of transportation. I went there during the hot season, so it was very difficult to walk on a narrow and intricate road in the crowds, and I couldn't explore other than along the river. I didn't ask the hotel staff, so maybe there was a means of transportation other than "walking". Ganga Aarti Ganga Artie, which I was the first purpose of my trip, will book a seat if you ask the hotel. (※ Free) We will take a hotel boat to the venue. It's not crowded and the hotel staff will take you, so you can appreciate it with peace of mind without meeting the troublesome bargaining. 【Food】 The room was prohibited from eating what was brought in and the hotel rules stated. I wanted to eat what I brought in for peace of mind, but I gave up and ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. There are many small shops and food stalls on the road from the hotel to the station. The hotel is located far from the Ganges River, so you need to take a rickshaw. There is a train station nearby, Varanasi Yad, but it is a bit of a walk from there (the roads are dirty and the traffic is chaotic)."

"Varanasi is very noisy, but I requested a room further away from the front of the hotel and it worked. The fact that room was divided in two parts (before entering the main bedroom there was sort of a small private little room with a couch) also helped to give it sound proofing (from the interior hotel sounds). Anyway, this was the best feature of the hotel for me, ***** with the bathroom, which was pretty big and had a nice shower. Before coming to this hotel spent a few days in a different hotel, on Luxa rd., which was closer to the location I was going to the most: Dashashwamedh Ghat. The Dolphin hotel wasn't as near, and the streets around it weren't friendly to walk on, so while I was there I had to resort to using Tuc Tuc's all the time. What else? The Dolphin hotel is simple, the staff was friendly enough, and its restaurant (and breakfast) was nothing to brag about. (Food wise, I kept using Cafe 1916, the restaurant at Luxa Rd. that became my go-to place in Varanasi, for breakfast, lunch and often dinner. Good food, not too spicy, good price; it was suggested to me by a GuruWalk guide."

"Prem and Anita made us feel very welcome and at home. Every morning they prepared breakfast for us in their own living room. Prem also took us on a guided tour around the old city and the ghats. He knows the place very well and is fun to spend time with. He showed us every nook and cranny that the city has to offer, many such places are not even listed in the guidebook and everything we saw was accompanied with an explanation or story. We normally don't hire guides, but in this case we highly recommend it, since as a foreigner you don't know the rules, the customs and the possibilities at such a place of special religious significance as Varanasi. You won't regret it!"
