Fantastic decent sized room with a personal washing machine, fridge, huge sink and bedroom. Onsen was slightly smaller than the Gotanda branch but was decent given the occupancy is lower.
Service was impeccable and they even allowed us to check in an hour earlier. Great stay.

Overall it's good, the hardware is new, the decoration style is quite unique, the waiters have a high level of English, there are also a few Chinese services, the bed is 1.8 meters, it's 200 meters away from JR and subway, you can walk to Ginza, there are many izakayas opposite, the only drawback is that the room is too small, the price is not cheap

Amazing location and hipster vibe hotel. So happy I booked this location instead of Shinjuku. 10-15 min walk from the main Aki station. Ground floor entrance is recessed in from the street which is nice. Ground floor is a trendy pizza restaurant. So cool. Reception is on 2nd floor. Polite and friendly staff. Explained everything you need to know. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Nice BT speaker and tv. Shower and toilet very clean and bright. Free water and quality coffee bags. There's a famous restaurant opposite which is handy and queues. There's a Lawsons nearby and a pharmacy on the corner which is great too. 5 min walk from Donki and Bic and all the anime and manga shops. Can't fault this hotel and location. Offline Tv YT streamers also stayed at this hotel. Will definitely book again.

Relatively new hotel with modern decor. Really liked the vibes/design of the hotel and room. We found the room pretty spacious for Tokyo, def enough space to open two luggage. Under 10 min walk from JR Ueno (plus no need to climb stairs) so that was good for us with the luggage. Hotel is on the less bustling side of Ueno, but still very convenient for us to access the busy Ameyoko side of Ueno. We didn’t dine there but we always saw lots of locals dining at the lobby bistro, so I would think it must be pretty good.

Superior room was kind of small for 2A2C. One of us have to sleep on sofa. We should have booked a bigger room. Room was very clean and came with all we requried. Hotel overall was very good. Location was at Otorri Station which we need to figure out how to take train as it is our first time in Japan. Have family mart, 7-11 convenience stores nearby but not a shopping district. Not much food to eat nearby. Shuttle bus service available at certain time to haneda airport T1, T2, T3 for free.

The hotel is located at the to e asakusa line with convenient transportation. It only takes 5 minutes to walk from the line to the hotel. The hotel is located near the ni ten mon of the asakusa Temple. The straight-line distance between the hotel and the asakusa Temple is about 150 meters. The hotel has rooms all of which can see the street view, some of which can see the sky tree, a variety of restaurants around which can be selected, and drugstores and convenience stores are also available.
GGuest User2024.10.18
The location of the hotel is OK, very close to Sensoji Temple, about five minutes to the subway station, there are many restaurants around, drugstores, Don Quixote, Uniqlo, and direct subway to Ginza and Shibuya. The only drawback is that it is a bit small, but Japanese hotels should be like this. You have to stand in the bathtub to take a shower, and it is easy to accumulate water. The sanitation is not very clean. When I first entered on the first day, there were other people's nails cut on the bed... Overall, the price-performance ratio is OK

12 points. Recommend this hotel to friends who come to Ikebukuro.
Let's talk about the location first. It's only a three-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. It's very easy to find on the roadside.
The hotel is newly opened. You can find the environment by looking at the pictures I posted.
It's very fresh and very comfortable.
You can order food, drinks and coffee when sitting outside at night.
There is a self-service machine on the first floor for check-in.
All supplies can be picked up in the lobby on the first floor.
The room is very big. What's special is that there is a steam room and a massage bathtub.
I booked a family of three and each person had a bed and slept very comfortably.

You may visit the local supermarket for meal prep shopping, and enjoy making your Japanese style home cooking dishes.

It is actually an ordinary apartment with some necessary facilities. If you just talk about living, Omotesando is downstairs, which is really convenient.
To find this place, you must first find the Starbucks next door, and then there is always a small shop with girls queuing on the left. Enter the building through the automatic door and walk to the elevator at the back.
The room is relatively clean, and there is a guy in charge of reception. He is ********* and speaks very gently and softly.
The room has towels, two bedrooms, and a kitchen. It is suitable for family travel. The main reason is that it is too convenient downstairs and has everything.

GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!
BBrisbaneI recently stayed at The gate hotel Ryogoku in Tokyo for 10 nights, and it was an excellent experience. The location is ideal, with easy access to the Jr station , making sightseeing convenient.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay.
The hotel’s amenities and rooftop bar, were impressive. Overall, I highly recommend for everyone!

SspyeeewThe location is superb. 3 min walk to train station and bus terminal as well as to big department stores hands and Takashimaya. Due to high floor, the view is great! But the service is so so. Requested for extra blanket and couldn’t be acceded unlike Sunroute across the road, the extra blanket was placed on the bed before check. Service definitely needs to be improved

Location: Prime spot in the heart of Shinjuku and one minute walk to Shinjuku station exit 4, and less than five minutes to other exits.
Room: Extremely clean, modern, spacious, fantastic housekeeping.
Facilities: Washing machine, dryer, hot/cold water dispenser.
Service: Top notch hospitality from staff who are very friendly and courteous – special mention to Justyna who was extremely helpful with my queries days leading up to my check-in, as well as throughout my 7-night stay, and she always ensures that my requests are fulfilled promptly. GGuest UserMy family thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo Ariake. Getting around was super convenient- there’s free shuttle bus going to and from Haneda AirPort, there’s free shuttle bus to Ginza/Tokyo station daily, there are also public buses and train stations nearby, so there are many choices. I love the Ariake Garden mall connected via the 6th floor, where I can get food and even onsen at a discounted price. The amenities are amazing too - there’s self service washing/drying machines, microwaves, ice machines, self check in/out machines… all readily available at any time. The luggage storage is also self-serviced and fuss free, so we could walk around with our minds at ease before going to the airport on the last day. Overall, an awesome place for anyone having a holiday in Tokyo!
PPatrick LauAlways our top choice when traveling to Tokyo, the Shibuya Excel is conveniently located near everything, including JR Shibuya Station, the Metro, Narita Express, and the Airport Bus. There is a supermarket in the basement where we can buy fresh, high-quality Japanese fruit. The hotel is situated right in the heart of Shibuya, with just a minute's walk to the world-famous Shibuya Crossing. Choosing this hotel is a decision you won't regret. We love it!

EElizavetaIt’s pretty spacious hotel, what was a nice unexpected thing. The location is fine, you can easily walk to different lines (subway), but probably this area isn’t in my favorite in general.
There was a smell in a bathroom (like of sewage system), but it faded away a bit during our stay.

VVThis hotel is very convenient for everything, just take an airport limousine bus directly. We travelled from Narita so its about 1h40mins sleeping time on the bus. The Sunshine City mall is very big, with many shops. Only it gets very crowded during weekends, other days are quite and plenty shops to walk around. Hotel location very close to metro, and a bit further if you want to take JR. Breakfast has a good choice in morning, good coffee machine. In general, I will come back again to stay here.

GGuest UserThe hotel uses self-service check-in. This time, we have two adults and a one-and-a-half-year-old baby. The room looks very big in the photo, but it would be a bit awkward to put two suitcases in. This time, I was more disappointed when I entered the room. I found that the cleaning was not very clean, there was a lot of hair from the previous tenant, and there was dust on the refrigerator. The towels provided by the hotel have a strong smell of bleach, so it is recommended to bring your own towels.
The location is about 15 minutes from the station. The only good thing is that the eel rice next door is delicious.
GGuest UserSmall clean room as expected but having to get your own amenities and very little around the area makes it purely for accommodation purposes. Though there are 2 lines of trains that are very close by it’ll take about 25 minutes ride to get to major Tokyo hotspots like Shibuya. McDonald’s right down stairs and a convenient store all accessible completely undercover was perfect for some of the rainy weather I experienced during my stay
