Inn Cube Ximen

I chose to stay at Inn Cube Ximen mainly because of the price and convenience, especially since I had a late-night flight and didn’t want to wander around outside in the heat. I booked a room just to rest for a few hours before my flight, even though it wasn’t a short-hour hotel. I ended up booking it for a full day, and the staff were really nice and helpful. I chose a single room instead of a dorm-style room. The room was small, about the size of a 3.5-foot bed, just enough for one person. It had little conveniences like a small table, a TV, slippers, and a change of clothes. The bathroom was shared, but it was well-organized and had everything you needed like hairdryers and toiletries. When I stayed, it wasn’t too crowded, but I did get a little startled by some noises, like announcements or voices from other rooms. Because it’s a kind of box hotel, the walls have openings at the top, so you might hear sounds from other areas. It wasn’t a big issue, but it did surprise me a bit at first. Overall, it was a good and convenient stay, and the staff were just as kind and helpful as before. If you need a simple, budget-friendly spot to rest for a few hours near Ximending, Inn Cube is a solid choice.

Since I am traveling solo, this inn was perfect in location as it's near Ximending, which is a popular tourist location and at its price point, it's a value for money stay. Hotel staff was friendly and there was a common area for writing, eating, chatting with friends and also water dispenser. Room was simple though and small but it's okay. There is sufficient common toilets for showering. If one is hungry, just head downstairs, cross one street and there are plenty of food options in Ximending area. There is also convenient stores nearby as well. Sound proofing is not good but the hotel does provide free earplugs. If you need toiletries, you can get them for cheap here as well as Taiwan tourism board does not promote hotel in providing free one-time use toothbrushes, shavers etc. I got my shaver for only NT10, which is the standard price for toothbrushes and other toiletries needed. 

When I arrived, I glanced at the two personnel in the lobby who were laughing at each other, and I found it rude. It looked like they were planning something. I left my luggage in the lobby right after informing them about my reservation. I arrived around 10:30 a.m. and returned around 7:30 p.m., only to find that my luggage was already inside my room. Before leaving, I was preparing my things and locked my luggage, but I noticed that one of the zippers was unhooked. I decided to unlock it, hoping to fix it, but then my luggage wouldn’t accept my passcode. I left the hostel really confused. My stay there was just for one night—my last day—because my first two nights were at another hostel near Inn Cube, which was cleaner, bigger, and safer.

superb location, clean room with minimal dust. Shared spaces are also clean. one con is that there is totally no sound proofing, not reccomended for light sleepers. Otherwise its very good in general for the price, will definitely stay if solo travel again!😀

Friendly and helpful staffs, Great location, comfy bed, Conveniant stores, and, restuarant nearby with various of food choices from brunch till 2 AM.

The location is good and the staff are nice. Though the space is just enough for solo traveler.
