The staff were amazing so I want everyone to know that part. This is not the front desk staff. Now on to the bad…. The rooms are not clean. I dislike having to say this. But it’s facts. When walking in the room- first thing we notice is a huge pretty fresh stain on floor that screamed puke. It was attempted to be cleaned but the orange stain was disgusting. The windows were smudged. The glass tables had finger prints all over. The walls had dried splashes of who knows what and edges around the room at knee high were full of dust. Soap was left in shower and the floor when the door was opened and closed was disgusting. No liners in garbage cans. The front desk was very understanding and switched us rooms. Problem was it was a downsize. We lived through it but will all the hotels we have stayed in while in the city - (dozens- as we are only 2 hours away and like to stay at different places) this one unfortunately we will not be returning too.

The hotel is great, especially the location, very close to the attractions, the Millennium Park is 5 minutes walk, the wills sky tower is 9 minutes walk, the Chicago River Cruise is also 10 minutes from the Museum District, 25 minutes, the Navy Pier 32 minutes, in short You don't have to buy a bus card here, walking is enough. Especially to the airport is very convenient, two minutes to the subway blue line directly to O'Hare airport, very convenient. Breakfast has not been eaten. The room was a little bit small, I ignored it, and it was so perfect when I went out. It feels good. Only a little hotel received my estimate of $200 is a deposit. If there is no problem, I will return it. I will ask how long I can return to my account. The front desk said that I don’t know. The money was swiped directly from the credit card. A bit uncomfortable.

We booked a room that unfortunately was for the wrong dates through a third party. We were told by the third party that they would refund us but that the hotel had to release our reservation. We called them immediately after realizing the dates were wrong which was within an hour. The reservation was for two days from then. The hotel said they would not cancel it. They charged us almost $600 for a room we did not stay in and called in advance to explain our situation. They also did not allow for us to change the days to the days we were actually looking for. While the hotel is lovely and the staff was pleasant even delivering the bad news I won’t be looking to book with them again.

Be careful, there is a hidden charge ”A $25 daily urban experience fee will be charged to each room” at this hotel Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park. The breakfast charge is very tricky if you have prepaid. 1st you have to argue that you have prepaid for the breakfast for each person in the room. 2nd you need to ask and confirm with the front desk how much the credit is for the breakfast you have paid (my case $38 for each person daily, covers taxes and tips). It is not buffet breakfast, you need to pay extra when you check out if you have ordered more than your credit for the breakfast. When I asked that if I missed one breakfast, can I use the extra credit for the next day. The answers were different from different staff members. A very expensive hotel focusing on big conferences, there are no microwave oven, empty refrigerator (you can request) in the room and swimming pool. Do not lift up the drinks and snacks in the box on the table (there are sensors underneath) unless you don't mind to be charged. The existing refrigerator is full of drinks. I was afraid to touch it, even the concierge didn't know how to open the refrigerator lock. But the coffee and tea are free. There is a person (not housekeeper) comes to the room to check and refill all the drinks and snacks including the free ones. We booked our room many weeks earlier, after we checked in I realized that the room prices dropped comparing our original prices, maybe not enough conference people attending. Great location, you can walk to many places. The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breaksfast was quite good.

Excellent location right in downtown Chicago, close to most attractions including the Bean. Clean and spacious rooms and clean baths. Would stay again. Excellent value for money.

The hotel has a direct access to the airport. It’s the best for travelers who need accommodation for a short night near the Chicago airport area. I had a room overlooking the airport and I really loved it. The room looked a bit old but everything’s very clean and tidy. Service was good. Check-in and check-out were efficient. Do recommend this hotel for other travelers.

Excellent location with access to red and blue lines and bus networks. And in the centre of the city. A character building with spectacular internal decor. Especially popular with conferences. Room was spacious and included two doubles with usual amenities though we did have to ask for a kettle. Staff very friendly and check in was seamless despite being busy. Two niggles included a $25 daily fee that could be offset by discounts in various parts of the hotel. Though for us it was a tax as we did not want the discounted services. Also cleaning services invariably wanted to service the room when we were in it. Attempts to renegotiate cleaning times did not work and in the end we timed our absence from the room to when cleaners would want to clean room. A very good experience for us nevertheless.

I've never had such an experience before. In my whole life I barely give 2 stars feedback to property, honestly I just wanna give 1 star feedback but the residents are friendly and nice that why I add one more star for them. The location is really convenient, room setting is super clean and organization. However, the black old lady who works at front desk is really mean and rude, she tried to bully me when I was checking in. Her service attitude likes she's guest I'm staff, and I owed her money, too. After check in my mood is really down, so I can't get any reason is why I pay almost $400 a night come here to get treatment like that. If you come to check Chicago I won't recommend this hotel for, or if you like the hotel but don't come to check in around 11am-1pm on Saturday！

I was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.
