Amazing
KkeeemmmThis is one of the most satisfying and value-for-money hotels I've stayed at in the US. I would definitely choose it again.
There are many pros: The decor is very new, with fully automated curtains and lighting. The service is also good. The elevators are always available, no waiting. Many places are within walking distance. Every room has a kitchen and microwave. Free breakfast every day, etc.
Let me elaborate on the cons:
1) The deposit is $100 per night, with a maximum of $500. Although the deposit was refunded quickly, $500 is indeed a bit high.
2) I was often woken up by the sound of police cars and ambulances on the street in the middle of the night. I understand that city security is generally poor at night, but light sleepers might be bothered by this.
3) At 3 AM, just before checkout, the front desk suddenly called to say there was a dessert delivery for our room. I was woken up for no reason. Of course, the next day, the front desk couldn't find any record of it and just offered a casual ”sorry.”
4) Although there are bedside lamps in the room, all the ceiling lights are spotlights and their brightness cannot be adjusted. Sometimes it feels so bright it hurts my eyes.
5) The breakfast selection varies slightly each day, but there's always a queue. If you go down late, some items will be gone.

Great
SShi raI was very pleased with the comfortable room. Although I could hear the tram running all night, I understood this was due to its central location. The breakfast was the best part! It also seemed to be a better deal if you booked with breakfast included.
However, the service really let them down, and I've significantly deducted points for it. After checking out at 12 PM, I waited an incredibly long time for my valet car – it didn't arrive even after fifty minutes, nor by 1:30 PM. We couldn't get in touch with the valet attendant, and the nonchalant attitude of a blonde staff member was also very frustrating. We couldn't even pick up our ordered pizza on time.
Due to these delays, we were late for our 1:30 PM lunch reservation and ended up arriving at 2 PM, missing one of our planned activities altogether. However, the place we had lunch had such excellent service and delicious food that we ended up leaving Chicago on a positive note.

GGuest UserPerhaps it was the off-season, but the price was great. The location is excellent, and the service was good. There's a big supermarket right across the street, which is super convenient. Plus, there are Japanese and Cantonese restaurants nearby that are delicious. If I come back, I'd definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Warwick Allerton Chicago recently and honestly, it struck a really nice balance between historic charm and modern comfort. The building itself has that classic Chicago character—it’s been around since the 1920s and even has landmark status—so you immediately feel like you’re staying somewhere with a bit of story behind it. The biggest highlight for me was the location. Being right on the Magnificent Mile made everything incredibly easy—shopping, restaurants, and even spots like Millennium Park were all within walking distance. It’s one of those places where you can step outside and instantly be in the middle of everything, which made the trip feel effortless. My room was also clean, comfortable, and large. Overall, prime location and solid comfort without going over-the-top expensive. A really good find on Trip.com.

TTerence CaoBe careful, there is a hidden charge ”A $25 daily urban experience fee will be charged to each room” at this hotel Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park. The breakfast charge is very tricky if you have prepaid. 1st you have to argue that you have prepaid for the breakfast for each person in the room. 2nd you need to ask and confirm with the front desk how much the credit is for the breakfast you have paid (my case $38 for each person daily, covers taxes and tips). It is not buffet breakfast, you need to pay extra when you check out if you have ordered more than your credit for the breakfast. When I asked that if I missed one breakfast, can I use the extra credit for the next day. The answers were different from different staff members.
A very expensive hotel focusing on big conferences, there are no microwave oven, empty refrigerator (you can request) in the room and swimming pool. Do not lift up the drinks and snacks in the box on the table (there are sensors underneath) unless you don't mind to be charged. The existing refrigerator is full of drinks. I was afraid to touch it, even the concierge didn't know how to open the refrigerator lock. But the coffee and tea are free. There is a person (not housekeeper) comes to the room to check and refill all the drinks and snacks including the free ones.
We booked our room many weeks earlier, after we checked in I realized that the room prices dropped comparing our original prices, maybe not enough conference people attending.
Hope the information is helpful for you.

GGuest UserIt was pretty good. I was worried because it was dirty, but it was just dust in places you couldn't see. And I paid an extra $20 for the reservation fee! The hotel's location was great.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself was decent. However, Ctrip completely failed to inform me that, besides the $15 city tax, there was also a $4 miscellaneous fee, and what's even more infuriating, a compulsory $25 charge. The staff member who checked me in deliberately withheld this information. After checking out, my card was then hit with exorbitant charges.

GGuest UserI was there because of the Chicago marathon. I stayed in the hotel for totally 3 nights and the experience was alright. It is easy to access to public transport but still if you look for a hotel with better neighborhood, it is recommended to stay near the Magnificent Mile area.

GGuest UserI was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.
