Separate the truly excellent Webster Grille restaurant from this hotel and you have ... nothing that recommends staying here. But the Webster Grille is expensive ($95 steaks and up.) So, there is a bit of a mismatch. Check-in took forever because they had one person at the desk handling a line that literally went out the door. Hotels know who is coming in and should plan accordingly. I was here 5 nights, and 6 days and got housekeeping service twice despite asking for it each day. One day they came in and emptied the garbage cans and threw some towels on the bed and tossed in a couple of Keurig cups. There are just too many other options to stay here. The beds and sheets are pretty good, but it's just a place to stay - no frills and poor service. I will look elsewhere next trip.

I made this trip with my mother to run the Chicago marathon and again I was welcomed with all the care and attention by the amazing team of the Peninsula. The hotel is fantastic, the accommodation is super spacious, modern and comfortable. The hotel is located in Chicago, along with a complete spa, heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, a SUV service with driver, a courtesy to guests (a 2-mile radius from the hotel). I would like to give a special thank you to Christina Subida, who was spectacular with us in all senses.

The facilities are first-rate, the public security is good, and the circuit load of the newly built hotel is good. The day before, a hotel next door with the same price had unstable voltage when a hair dryer was plugged in. The price is several hundred yuan more expensive than the same five-star hotel. The room area is much larger, and it is equipped with a microwave oven, induction cooker, and oven. If I come to Chicago again, I will vote for Trump.

At the beginning, there was a problem with collecting money. Ctrip charged the room rate. The hotel charged it again. After communicating with Ctrip, it was resolved in a few days. The hotel returned the room rate. Ctrip actively helped solve the problem. The only bad thing was the hotel reservation. The taxi is not metered, it feels a bit pitted. Use Uber. Don't let the hotel book a car.

This is the best hotel to stay at if you have an early morning or late night flight. It was very clean and well-managed and it served our purposes.
We will use it every time we take a late night trip to Asia which we do 4 times a year at present. We were very pleased.

First time in Chicago so didn't know where to stay, luckily I found this hotel and it was very nice, hotel rooms are nicely decorated and clean, took a while to figure out where coffee machine was but found it in the end, only blemish was one set of elevator was not functional but there was no notice posted. It's not that difficult to post notice on the tenth floor was it? But all in all, a pleasant stay and a great location with nice restaurants around hotel, definitely will come again.

The small fridge in the room automatically shuts off after 2 hrs and doesn't stay at a safe temperature to store breast milk. The front desk advised to just use an ice bucket. This is problematic because (1) you will have to continually refill the ice bucket and (2) there is limited capacity. After an escalation to the manager, they offered to hold my milk behind the front desk in their fridge. I am not comfortable with that ”solution” nor do I want to go back and forth to the front desk for my baby's bottles and milk storage. He advised they previously provided medical fridges but they currently do not do so. I am so beyond disappointed. I expected so much more from this brand and now have to figure out something to do with my milk for my exclusively breast fed baby. Ugh, don't they have mother's stay at this property!? Marriott, do better!

GGuest UserThe hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!
GGuest UserWe almost always stay at Marriotts or HIltons — when we've stayed at boutique hotels, we've found that the rooms are a little too quirky or way too overpriced (or both!). But this was the recommended hotel for a nearby wedding, so we booked it. And it exceeded our expectations, and then some. The room was massive, with a gorgeous bathroom, high ceilings, and excellent bedding. The food at the restaurant downstairs was great. And the staff was remarkably friendly (our stay was from a Saturday night through Monday morning, and with street parking being free on Sundays, the staff gave us a heads up so we could save the money instead of parking in a nearby garage). We loved this hotel — we'd happily stay here again!
GGuest UserI visited the Warwick Allerton with a group of friends over a three night stay. The hotel is older, in the midst of a remodel. Our room was fine, appeared to be remodeled. It was clean, comfortable bed and furniture. Housekeeping had to be scheduled and we ran out of toilet paper before the scheduled service. Additionally our wifi was continually disconnecting. Alicia from the front desk offered to come up to our room, reset our wifi and delivered 2 rolls of toilet paper. She arrived within minutes of me talking to her. She was friendly and very helpful. The hotel charges a $15.00 daily service fee. The restaurant was closed for remodeling and there was no food on the premises. There may have been a gym, which we did not use. I fail to see the benefits of the facility fee and would rather just have the room charge be higher if the hotel needs to make a higher profit on the rooms. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants. The valet service was also efficient.
GGuest UserWe got to the hotel at around 7am from Seattle and it’s our first time in Chicago. Overall the workers in the hotel they are so helpful and accommodating. Specially Anastasia and Enrique they helped us out with the parking and stuff to see in downtown Chicago. We ate at the bar that night and the bartender was so helpful. We know that he was busy but he was still nice. We had a good experience in this hotel and can’t wait to go back with the whole family. The location was convenient you don’t need to rent a car. The train is just there as soon as you leave your hotel. Shopping is just around the corner. The coffee at the goddess is a must. The bean is just a block away. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel and will visit again soon. Thanks again to Anastasia and Enrique you made our stay memorable.

GGuest UserThe experience from check-in to check-out was superb. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect because it is the heart of everything on Michigan Avenue! When we walked out of the hotel, shopping and restaurants were all around! I would definitely stay here again in the future.
TTourist05333334481We loved our stay at Wicker Park Inn! For anyone visiting Chicago, THIS is precisely the area you should stay in if you want to experience the best of what the city has to offer. You're steps away from Milwaukee Ave. and a short walk to Division where there's more amazing restaurants, cafes, and bars than you'll know what to do with. The room was very nice with impressive furnishings, tons of space. Only small complaints are we wish the shower had better pressure and in the summer heat we wished we could've grabbed more water than what was in our room when we first arrived. We can't wait to come back to Chicago and stay again, though!
GGuest UserLet me first of all say that I was truly looking forward to stay at The Blackstone. I had saved all my points to put toward this stay and sadly it was ruined BEFORE I even got there! Days before my stay, I called to see if I could possibly upgrade. I spoke to Diana who was truly nice, helpful and professional. Unfortunately, it kind of went downhill froM there. The next day, I called back to confirm whether I needed to be present for the checkin. The call was answered by someone who from the beginning was very terse! When I tried to ask her if Diana was still available, she was unprofessional and unbelievably rude. So I did what any guess would’ve done in that case and that’s ask who I was speaking with. She immediately fired back “I’m not telling you my freaking name!” I was immediately taken aback and when I tried simply get a word in, she kept bluntly and blatantly interrupting and talking through me. After listening to her yell at me for minutes, I ask her for her name again and “click” the line goes dead. I called back and was put on hold. Finally I spoke to a manager named Earline. She was nice and apologetic. She informed me that the rude employee’s name was Shandjana. She was even nice enough to offer me an upgrade to a Lakeside View. I told her that if she was willing to honor that plus free breakfast, then we’re good! I ended the call happy and was looking forward to my stay again! The next day I called again because as I remembered I never got my answer for regarding whether I needed to checkin in person at a certain time. I usually use Hilton and I can check in via app so wasn’t sure about Marriott. In fact, truth be told, I had stopped staying at Marriott bc of their customer service (or lack thereof). When I called, I spoke to someone named Jacquiea. I explained to her the back story and she confirmed that my room was locked in and I wouldn’t lose it. However, when the convo came around to breakfast, she mentioned there were no notes for it on my stay. I explained to her that I talked to Earline and mentioned that it was one of my concessions for staying after my rude in encounter with Shadjana. She said she would talk to Earline and get back to me. I didn’t think too much of it. I figured Earline would confirm what her and I talked about and we’d be all squared away. Unfortunately, the situation sadly got even worse. Later that afternoon, I received an email from Jacquiea citing that she never promised me a complimentary breakfast and that I wasn’t getting one. Again, I was puzzled as I KNOW I mentioned that as one of my concessions, but perhaps she (Earline) simply didn’t remember and that perhaps there was a misunderstanding. I replied saying such and reiterating to them that the purpose of those concessions was to do damage-control for shandjana’s immature behavior. In fact, the hope was they would say “perhaps there was a misunderstanding between Earline and you, but given the unfortunate behavior of our staff, we’re willing t

GGuest UserWe attended the Chicago International Miniature show at the nearby Marriott O'Hare. Because that hotel was full, we booked the Springhill Suites. They ran a shuttle to the other hotel with a super nice front desk staffer driving. The hotel itself was fine and the free breakfast was above average. Parking was on long surface lots on both ends of the hotel, but there is also an underground garage. The onsite Outback steakhouse was a plus. Rooms were good, nice and quiet despite being near airport and freeway with a microwave and small fridge
