Outstanding
WWEIJUNThe service and meals are very good, the invincible sea view room, and the open air bathing soup are all good experiences. It is not enough to go into the hotel, and it is not enough to eat and drink. Both meals are in the room, the service is super good, and the level of cooking is quite high. I took a photo and it seems that it is too big to be transmitted. Anyway, the visual taste is good.
FFenyuanqiqiThe entire hot spring hotel's courtyard is beautifully designed, with various stone lanterns throughout the courtyard, named after the stone pavilion. We stayed in an independent villa; the room was spacious, and walking along the stone path was very pleasant. Hotel staff helped with our luggage. There's also a public open-air bath. It seems the men's and women's baths are the same each day. There are also two private baths available for about 45 minutes for 1500 yen; the one on the left, Imaihama, is larger. Dinner and breakfast are served in the banquet hall, with reserved private rooms. The service and ambiance were impeccable, but the food was somewhat ordinary and not particularly impressive.
MMudkipLynnAn amazing place to stay with a location which is near lots of restaurants and even a grocery store. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Also there are private hot springs on the top floor which are constantly available and free to use! Loved this hotel very much and it made the stay at Atami very magical and memorable. Thank you for the great time!
AAnonymous UserOverall, it was good, and the service was very patient. When we arrived at Atami Station, we called ahead and they immediately sent a car to pick us up, and also dropped us off at the station when we checked out. Actually, it's not far from Atami Station, but the many ups and downs and stairs make it inconvenient with luggage. They really wouldn't let us store our luggage; the front desk staff were all elderly and said they closed at 5 PM, so they were worried we wouldn't make it back in time. We ended up storing our luggage in a locker at Atami Station, which was also convenient. It's essentially a family-run guesthouse, and most of the service staff are elderly, so many unpleasant experiences might have been due to language barriers. I highly recommend the full Japanese-style meal; it's exquisite, delicious, and feels very ceremonial.
CCw233Facilities: This hotel has an old-money charm, and you can really see its past luxury. Everything is very well-maintained, and the rooms are clean. There aren't many power outlets, but they thoughtfully provided power strips. The tatami mattress was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff did a thorough job every day. The view from the window was beautiful, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was a dream.
Service: The hotel offers a shuttle service to Atami JR Station, departing every half hour from in front of McDonald's. There are two vans per shuttle, clearly marked with the hotel's name in red, and managed by hotel staff. They drop off at both the old and new wings, which makes up for the slightly inconvenient location.
Environment: The hotel boasts three large hot springs, all with both indoor and outdoor baths. I tried them all, and each has its own unique character. My skin felt so smooth afterwards! The walkway on the 15th floor of the Ocean Wing (old building) offers panoramic ocean views, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunrise.
Dining: The buffet dinner was absolutely, incredibly amazing! Unlimited tuna belly! All-you-can-eat scallops and roe! Shrimp, sea bream, squid, salmon – there was so much I couldn't even try it all. The cooked dishes were also delicious, but my stomach just couldn't fit any more.
I saw some not-so-great reviews before checking in, but perhaps everyone has different preferences. We, however, highly recommend it!
SShanfeng-huBXF738This place was surprisingly good! The scenery is indeed beautiful and the rooms are spacious. What really stood out was the more extensive self-service drinks available on the first floor – a very thoughtful touch. I'll definitely be back next time. Highly recommend!
MMC ShiThe hotel is close to the station. Just a few minutes walk. If you like to try the Japanese style hotel with in room dining, this is a good choice with reasonable price.
The hotel staffs are friendly and can speak good English.
The have public spa and also private spa. If you not get used to go public spa or has tattoo can’t go to the public one. You can book a small private spa for 40 minute each time. When booking, check the bath facilities. Because some room does not provide bathing facilities.
I would stay again if I am in Atami.
AAnonymous UserThe room is very spacious, great for family of 2-4. It is pity I was alone only one person travelled, got charged two persons tax because the system booked for two persons. Location a bit outside the center, however it is easy to reach via taxi or shuttle bus. There is a steep slope walking from main road to the hotel if you walk in.
XxxyxxThe room, the large public bath, the food, everything was fine, but during dinner I discovered a cockroach on the floor near the buffet.
I think it was because the leftover food was left on the table instead of being cleared away, but I think they should do something about it.
喜喜瑪拉雅星My family and I have two different evaluations of this hotel. I am very satisfied with the location of the hotel, because I can look at the sea, see the sunrise, see the big moon, and see the fireworks. But Amei felt that it was too far from the station, too slanted along the road, and there were not many buses, which was so difficult. For hotel facilities, I think it is acceptable, but Amei is too old and hates the stains on the sheets. For friends who love sea views and pursue cost-effectiveness, this is good; for friends who pursue novel hotel facilities, you need to think more.
