The "Alte Schmiede" is located in the former village smithy, which was built in 1832 by Mr. Feddermann. That's how the street got its name.The daughter of Feddermann married Wilke Ackermann who built the "Haus Ackermann" in 1862 next door. From 1862-1953 he and later his sons operated the village smithy. At this time the village smithy had up to 150 horses on "Hufbeschlag".
