That's how the street got its name.The daughter of Feddermann married Wilke Ackermann who built the "Haus Ackermann" in 1862 next door. From 1862-1953 he and later his sons operated the village smithy. At this time the village smithy had up to 150 horses on "Hufbeschlag". In today's kitchen and dining area has been forged.The forge fire was in the still existing, converted fireplace next to the kitchen.
