JingjingSELINAThis hotel is absolutely fantastic, with beautiful details everywhere and a strong sense of design. Every corner of the hotel is a picturesque scene, with amazing lighting that's perfect for photos.
During this stay, I was lucky enough to see the snowy mountains – simply breathtaking! Being able to lie on the terrace and gaze at those beautiful snow-capped peaks was pure bliss.
The local cultural vibe is very strong, and the designer's thoughtful touches are evident. It's a beautifully preserved century-old Naxi traditional house, full of ethnic character. The osmanthus flowers in the courtyard smelled heavenly.
The location is superb, right in the best spot in Yuhu Village. Entering the hotel gives you a sense of secluded tranquility, yet it's very convenient to step out and explore the area.
The service was so warm and inviting, it felt like coming home. Highly recommended!

Environment: You can see the snowy mountains right from the guesthouse, with a perfect view and a large open space for admiring the scenery and taking photos. The interior design of the guesthouse is very aesthetically pleasing and sophisticated, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
Service: The service is impeccable. The guesthouse's breakfast and afternoon tea are high quality; the rose latte was my favorite. The in-house private chef's cooking is exceptional and delicious. In the evening, there's even a cocktail service, which other guesthouses don't offer. Each service is handled by a dedicated staff member who responds promptly and patiently. They also provide pick-up and drop-off to and from Baisha Ancient Town.
The owner personally decorated the place, and the design shows excellent taste. We brought some freshly bought flowers, and they thoughtfully provided a vase and arranged them for us, a level of detail you won't find in other hotels. The stay was absolutely fantastic. This is the best and most favorite guesthouse I've stayed at in Lijiang, and I'll definitely choose it again next time! Highly recommended.

jingjingtravelingNestled just off the main road at the entrance to Yuhu Village, Baolin Homestay surprisingly keeps a perfect distance from the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, you instantly grasp the true meaning of 'tranquility in the midst of noise': outside, you hear the clip-clop of horse hooves and the chatter of tourists, while inside, only the rustling of leaves in the wind and the distant whisper of snow-capped mountains can be heard. Right outside is the village's main street, with cafes and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. Turning right leads directly to the path down the mountain and open fields, incredibly convenient for hiking or horse riding.
The courtyard layout is particularly delightful. We stayed in a private Loft-style courtyard, with a balcony on the first floor where two rattan chairs offer views of dark grey eaves and a patch of blue sky. The second floor features another small terrace with mountain views. The two levels are independent and offer excellent sound insulation. The room's decor combines raw wood and stone for a rustic feel, the bedding is soft, and the hot water is fast and consistent.
The room rate includes a simple dinner for two, and the chef's cooking is excellent – a plate of local cured pork stir-fried with mushrooms, savory and imbued with a wild, earthy flavor; the stir-fried seasonal vegetables were crisp, tender, and sweet, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. Breakfast was plentiful, with hot congee, rice noodles, and side dishes, setting a great mood for the day.
The front desk lady is the heart and soul of this place. Meticulous, diligent, and thoughtful, she brought us a warm, sweet dessert soup every evening that warmed us to our fingertips. Her drinks are never perfunctory, whether it's freshly ground coffee or ginger-date milk tea, all made with genuine care. The three little cats are the lively treasures of the courtyard, bringing the whole place to life.
Our three days at Baolin were not luxurious, but everything was perfectly arranged; not ostentatious, yet unforgettable. This stone-walled courtyard in Yuhu Village – it will gently embrace you with a warm meal, a comforting drink, and a quiet night.

Guest User🫶 Not a shill! Highly recommend for those who love peace and quiet! I originally came for the terrace and the snow-capped mountain view, but I was deeply touched by the warm atmosphere and all the thoughtful details!
Before check-in, they proactively contacted me and sent all relevant information like the address, directions, and activities. They always offered to help with luggage, greeted me warmly whenever I came and went, and thoughtfully asked if I needed transportation or meals. It wasn't just commercial politeness; you could feel that they were genuinely good and sincere people!
🌄 The rooms with a second-floor terrace have an absolutely stunning view. You can see the 'golden mountains' at sunrise and sunset right from your room, with the snow-capped mountains practically at your fingertips when you're lying in bed. All the pictures were taken in the room with my phone! Absolutely amazing! I also stayed in a triangular vaulted room and loved the ceiling design! I slept incredibly well! The room photos are exactly what you get; absolutely no misleading pictures!
🍈 The day I arrived, as soon as I settled in, afternoon tea was delivered to my room. It wasn't some perfunctory pre-made stuff; there was delicious ice cream cake and fragrant rose tea! On my last day, I had to leave for the snow mountain before dawn and would miss breakfast, so the night before, the lady prepared a take-out breakfast and delivered it to my room – super thoughtful! After a day of playing, I didn't have an appetite for afternoon tea, so they brought me a full plate of fresh fruit. I was so touched! Every detail shows their sincerity!
🏘️ The hotel is not in the city center, so it's very quiet! During the day, the hotel can arrange transport to the city center, and it's also easy to get a taxi if you go out yourself. Baisha is a small town, different from the hustle and bustle of Lijiang, but it's quiet and convenient. A short walk takes you to the ancient town, and barbershops and convenience stores are all nearby. Because of this hotel, I love this small town even more!!!

Guest UserBaisha | This Guesthouse at the Foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Took Such Good Care of Me
I highly recommend everyone who isn't interested in commercialized ancient towns (yes, I'm looking at you, Lijiang Old Town) to head straight to Sun-Kissed Mountain just outside Baisha Ancient Town in Lijiang.
The rooms are truly exceptional. All room types start from 70 square meters and perfectly embody what a 'scenic view room' should be – a whole wall of floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, allowing you to gaze at fields and snow-capped mountains right from your bed. Even while sitting on the tatami to eat or drink tea, there’s a small window offering a beautiful view outside. There's also a long narrow window by the bed, so you can just turn your head slightly to see a vast expanse of blue sky and white clouds. The moment I saw this view upon entering, I immediately messaged all my friends to recommend it.
A group of young people runs the place, with both cats and dogs, creating a warm community-like atmosphere. They created a service group chat with 11 people, and apart from me, everyone else was staff. From breakfast to afternoon tea to late-night sweet soup, all my food and drink needs were anticipated and delivered directly to my room. The drinks, in particular, were picture-perfect and really boosted my mood. Breakfast is served until 11 am, so after eating, you don't even need to think about lunch; just wait for afternoon tea. For the private hot spring, they help set up disposable bathtub liners and provide various bubble bath salts. They also give advance notice about the probability and timing of the 'golden mountain' sunrise (when the sun illuminates the snowy peaks) for the next day. There’s a six-seater commercial van shuttle service to Baisha Ancient Town, making things very convenient.
The facilities are also top-notch: washing machine, garment steamer (yes, you read that right), oxygen machine, projector, humidifier, Bose sound system, and Kohler bathroom fixtures – absolutely everything you could ask for.

Guest UserStaying at this luxurious wilderness hotel at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was the most unexpectedly wonderful and healing experience of our Lijiang trip.
As soon as we opened the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in our room, the entire Jade Dragon Snow Mountain came into full view. The clouds drifted across the peaks, a sight both gentle and majestic. The hotel boasts a sprawling lawn, with winding wooden boardwalks leading towards the distant mountains. Lambs roamed freely, and every photo we took of the mountain scenery looked like it belonged in a magazine – truly an ideal wilderness retreat.
Even more impressive than the breathtaking scenery was the incredibly thoughtful service that made us feel right at home. I accidentally spilled milk tea and stained the front desk, but the staff cleaned it up meticulously without a word of complaint. When we returned in heavy rain, a dedicated staff member walked us all the way to our car under an umbrella and back to the hotel. When my child suffered from altitude sickness, oxygen tanks were delivered multiple times throughout the night, available instantly whenever we called. I even left my facial cleanser behind in a rush when checking out, and the hotel proactively shipped it to our next hotel free of charge.
With the romantic setting of the snowy mountain and the vast lawn, combined with such delicate and warm hospitality, there was no sense of unfamiliar distance. It truly felt like having a gentle home at the foot of the snow-capped mountain.

Anonymous UserBonus points:
Complimentary shuttle service saved us the hassle of finding a taxi upon arrival.
The environment is lovely, with its own small garden, perfect for photoshoots. Our room directly faced the snow-capped mountains; if the season were right, we might have seen the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun'.
The location is also great; turn right from the hotel, and you're in Baisha Ancient Town. If you want to stay near the ancient town, I recommend this place.
They provide face masks, which is a thoughtful touch for female guests.
Downsides:
1. The breakfast was quite monotonous. We stayed for several days, and it was the same noodles every single morning without fail. After leaving this guesthouse, I genuinely couldn't bring myself to eat Cross-the-Bridge Noodles for the rest of my Yunnan trip. (We even saw the hotel staff eating the same noodles and thought, 'they must be even more fed up than us').
2. Inexperienced staff: The female receptionist in the mornings always seemed to be daydreaming and didn't appear to enjoy her job. Her movements were slow, and her facial expressions were blank. 😂 You had to proactively ask her if you wanted coffee.
I asked the laundry guy to wash some clothes, and when I returned in the evening, he said they were washed. But when I checked the bag, they were still unwashed and smelly. I pulled out a random item, and the large patch of dried mud from my child jumping in puddles was still there! 😅 However, the guy's apology was very sincere.
One of the reasons I booked this place was because reviews mentioned it was run by young people, so I expected it to be vibrant. However, upon checking in, I found a complete lack of vibrancy and only noticed inexperience in various details (not all listed here).
3. Collaboration with external photographers, leading to induced consumption. They claimed to offer free photos, but it played on customer psychology: 'The photographer came all this way and took so many pictures for me, how can I only take the three free ones?' The result was an extra charge of 50 yuan per photo or a package that didn't include the free ones. I later realized I had been induced into this consumption. I was also warned by others during my trip not to fall for such photography traps (too late, hahaha). 😅 The more I think about it, the more I feel something is off, so I specifically put this warning in the comments section for everyone.

Guest UserAbsolutely stunning!!! This is hands down my favorite hotel in Lijiang. The hotel has its own super spacious ranch, so big you could easily spend a whole day just enjoying the property. The west side offers beautiful natural scenery, and waking up to the gorgeous ranch view instantly lifts your spirits. The east side has a charming courtyard style with quaint bridges and flowing water – very relaxing. It's also very quiet at night, perfect for a good sleep. The entire room smells lovely, and they offer afternoon tea and a 'goodnight soup' every day, which is a really nice touch. It was such a comfortable experience, I will definitely be back! Plus, there's an observation deck on the second floor with amazing views.

Guest UserThis family trip included both seniors and children, and our overall stay was excellent, so I just had to leave a positive review.
When I booked, my biggest concerns were hygiene and noise, but once we arrived, all my worries disappeared. The room was meticulously cleaned, the bathroom had no water stains or strange smells, and the bedding was fresh. The room also had good ventilation and natural light. Knowing we had children, the hotel thoughtfully prepared kids' toothbrushes, shoe covers, and even raincoats. We had planned to bring our own due to Yunnan's rainy season, so it was a pleasant surprise that the hotel had everything ready – a huge plus point!
The breakfast in the morning offered a rich variety and tasted great. There was porridge, rice noodles, regular noodles, bacon, salad, sandwiches, and eggs. The flavors weren't too strong, making it suitable for both seniors and children. The guesthouse itself was very quiet; we didn't hear any disturbing noises at night, and the kids, tired from playing, fell asleep instantly. For getting around, they gave us tips on nearby attractions, where to eat conveniently, and places with fewer crowds, saving us a lot of hassle with planning.
The public areas were lovely, allowing the children to play freely while the adults could relax. The service was just right – attentive without being overly enthusiastic or overwhelming. When traveling with family, all you want is a stress-free and comfortable experience, and this place truly delivered!

Guest UserThis hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable! Situated right near Baisha Ancient Town and at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it boasts a prime, front-row view of the mountain. With unspoiled agricultural land in front, the panoramic views are completely unobstructed. You can soak in the majestic snow-capped peaks right from your room, and even witness the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' spectacle from your bed. The ambiance and viewing experience were incredible, making this the most delightful stay of our Lijiang trip.
The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. As we stayed for two nights, the hotel kindly arranged airport transfers, making everything seamless and stress-free. They also provided daily shuttle service to and from Baisha Ancient Town, which was super convenient for exploring and saved us the hassle of driving or finding taxis. Beyond that, the hotel offered immersive Naxi cultural experiences like tea pressing and 'Jiama' woodblock printing, which allowed us to truly delve into local customs and added so much richness and fun to our journey.
The staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout our stay. They greeted us cheerfully, patiently recommended local specialty foods and off-the-beaten-path routes, and all their suggestions were incredibly useful. During downtime, they'd even invite guests to gather downstairs for tea and a chat. Their genuine and heartfelt approach made us feel completely at ease and welcome, as if we were visiting our own backyard. Their meticulous care and concern were evident in every interaction, truly making us feel at home.
The guest rooms were spacious, and the amenities were comprehensive and well-equipped with everything you could need, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The combination of the unparalleled scenic views and outstanding soft and hard services far exceeded our expectations. Whether you're looking for a relaxing vacation or an immersive Lijiang experience, I highly recommend it. This will definitely be my top choice for accommodation on my next visit to Lijiang!
