As a 73-year-old, well-traveled individual, I would have to say that the staff (management, reception, housekeeping) at the Hope Hotel are probably the best I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Very friendly, courteous, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them at all. The hotel itself is in a decent location with plenty of public transport available. Parking is adequate. The rooms are basic and clean, but all the necessities are available. The hotel borders Ailianhu Park with nice views of the Karst mountains.
With regard to value for money, you can't go wrong. I would stay there again without question.

I typically don't write reviews but the service was so good here during my stay that I'm making an exception.
1. The hotel staff picked us up at the train station upon our arrival, and also took us back there at the end of our stay, at no cost.
2. Every member of the staff has a great attitude, always smiling and ready to lend you a helping hand.
3. We didn't use them, though you can do your laundry (both washing machines and dryers are available). Detergent is free to use.
4. Breakfast is only worth it if included.
5. Rooms are clean and reasonably large. Two chairs are available even in the most basic rooms.
6. If you intend to travel outside the city, you can ask the front desk for recommendations, they'll put you in touch with a driver for hire.
All in all, it's extremely good value for money. It's the first time I experienced such type of service when the hotel room is only 200RMB a night!

When I first arrived at the hotel, I looked at the door a bit like a store. The parking was not in the hotel. The adjacent shops were all kinds of, and I was quite worried. But entering the lobby, the display is very hotel-like, and then entering the room, it is large, well-decorated, and the home is very new. It is a bit of a surprise.

There are advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that this branch has a triple room, the space is very spacious, and the night is quiet and not noisy. The service is more intimate, and there are a lot of small things at the front desk for guests to prepare for their own use. There is a hand sanitizer laundry detergent and dryer in the room.
The disadvantage is that the pillowcase is old, and some have tick lines and yellow. It is recommended to replace it in time. In addition, the central air conditioner cannot be used. The hotel service is warm, 4.0 The city convenience really surprised me. It is different from the previous stay. The room was great and clean, and the front desk left us a quiet room. The facilities are also very good, towels and slippers are individually packaged, very assured. DDi TanThis charming, ancient house turned family-run hotel is nestled within the historic city walls (note that even as a hotel guest, you’ll need to purchase an entrance ticket to access the city). Beautifully decorated, it exudes authentic charm, but it feels more like a homestay than a hotel, with its pros and cons.
The warm landlady’s hospitality and generosity were slightly hindered by the language barrier (as we regrettably don’t speak Chinese). However, her helpful daughter bridged the gap via WeChat, providing tips, arranging transportation, and ensuring a smooth stay.
All in all, it’s an excellent choice for travelers seeking a personal touch and a culturally immersive experience.

The hotel does not have bathrobes, just pajamas, but they are covered with hoods after disinfection, and the bath towels are also disinfected. There is also laundry detergent for hand washing. The toothbrushes in this hotel are better and the price is so low 😂 The hotel is really clean, the decoration is new and the style is relatively young, great!

Since we were going back to Nantian, the hotel owner Abu had already turned on the dehumidification in the three rooms we booked in advance. The most important thing was to provide disposable plastic slippers and toilet mats, so that I, who have a slight mysophobia, could really enjoy the stay. Experience what it means to feel at home! Speaking of service, the hotel will help with moving and introduce the scenic spots along the way, so that an unknown person followed us all the way to the hotel and asked for a business card. I will stay here again in the future because the service is so attentive. I saw the legendary three peacocks and a blue cat named Maharashtra, who was very dear to me. The Niu Ge breakfast shop next to the hotel is really delicious. Visitors who come to stay must try the fried silkworm glutinous rice and water chestnut noodles! Overall, this is a hotel with good service and warmth. I was in a hurry this time. I arrived at night and left the next morning. I did not fully explore the beauty of the ancient town. I will still stay here next time I come to Huangyao.
PS: The camellias in the hotel courtyard are blooming very brightly, and they even have a fragrance!

CChristopher AlvinThis hotel is very good indeed. The room is extraordinarily large and well presented in wooden finish. It is exceptionally clean with a large bathroom that offers everything I could require.
The staff are wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Often, I would find that they had anticipated a question or need.
The breakfast is very basic and functional with fried noodles, boiled eggs, Baozi (steamed buns) and Zhou (rice porridge), plus tea. Personally, I liked it a lot but I could imagine many travelers finding it too basic for their taste.
I love staying here and do so whenever in Hezhou.
