Amazing
GGuest UserI booked 2 nights through Trip.com, but when I checked in, the hotel said they hadn’t received any information and asked me to pay again. I was shocked — I’ve travelled worldwide and never faced this before. Trip.com confirmed they had informed the hotel at the time of booking. It seems the front desk staff, or even the manager, lacked knowledge about checking online bookings. Very unprofessional!
DDararaI recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean and tidy, and I enjoyed the complimentary fruit and coffee provided. The breakfast was basic but sufficient.
Despite Dhaka’s usual noise, the hotel was surprisingly quiet with no external disturbances. I stayed during Ramadan, so there might have been fewer activities contributing to the peace.
Overall, I liked the hotel and would definitely stay here again if I return to Dhaka.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located near public facilities in the capital, Dhaka, and there are hotels scattered around the area.
The city noise wasn't too bothersome, but I was woken up by the loud singing (or should I say singing?) of Muslims announcing their pre-dawn prayer time. I guess it's the same all over Dhaka. The twin room was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. It had AC, and the lukewarm shower was fine. I stayed for three nights.
Breakfast was included, with many spicy dishes, and I asked the staff about each one. The menu was extensive, and I enjoyed the salads, fruit, and desserts.
Small taxis (CNG, autorickshaws) were easy to hail.
I believe the safety level in Bangladesh is high, so I'd rank it ”above average.”
GGuest UserStaff are lovely and friendly. Everything in the room worked, the traffic noise was loud on the 4th floor. Overall it was an average 3* hotel but personally I don’t think that was reflected in the price - especially considering breakfast is fairly poor and many things were not available (it seems there was low occupancy during my stay). Overall, overpriced but generally fine for a short stay. Great staff.
AAnonymous UserHotel Shuktara provided excellent service, with clean, safe - newly painted small basic rooms but with everything you may need. Cost effective option situated in Dhaka, behavior of the staff was excellent and Shahin was very kind. Hotel staff was available if you have any questions or concerns. They were always helpful, provided small currency exchange, daily room service, held luggage after check out and can coordinate CNG or rickshaws. There is 24/7 front desk and security outside the building. Buffet breakfast was plentiful of options which varied a bit every day. Free water refills at restaurant during breakfast, water bottles provided by daily housekeeping, tea kettle and mini fridge in room, WiFi worked great. Location was good to explore some of Dhaka during the day, however it’s unadvisable to be out in the area late. There’s two restaurants in the building, Starlight provided great attentive service and was a very hygienic restaurant. I can recommend this hotel if you’re looking for an affordable budget accommodation in Dhaka.
AAnonymous User“Hotel service is average.
But the main problem is that the bathtub is very small, and the room amenities such as soap, brush, and shampoo are low quality. These need improvement. The breakfast items should also be increased, as the current options are not good.
The hotel price is also a bit high; considering the hotel type and location, the rate feels overpriced.
However, the staff behavior is very good.”
GGuest UserThe quality of the accommodation was reasonable and the cost was low. The photos on the online booking site looked clean but not really good. No way because the cost was low. Regarding the wifi connection, I was able to connect smoothly.
GGuest UserAbsolutely tops in terms of service/ helpfulness! Hotel manager snd staff sorted out a complicated issue involving our booking and refused to take or ask for any money from us over the 5 days we stayed - even upgrading us to a suite for the final two nights when one became available.
Staff speak English - and are helpful in providing Information about getting around, arranging transportation and laundry. A lovely rooftop cafe - a green oasis- and Taste Snacks. A Full Range of Bengali dishes as well as western food is also avsilable. And all this for less than 50CAD - very good value!
The hotel is located near the Old City- easily accessible by taxi, tuktuk or rickshaw- also BaileyRoad is within easy walking distance, a quieter tree lined street and New Bailey Road with Shopping Restaurants etc though these are also available in a buzzier context in the streets surrounding the hotel.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and Return again- Note the address at 873 Outer Circular Road( not the one on listing we saw/ booked located several hundred meters away, at 12 Outer Circular Road. The hotels are not linked, whatever you are told by the latter. And actual Grand Circle Inn at 873 is of higher standard/ quality…
MmcpoThe following are the real pictures and videos I took when I checked into the hotel that day. I checked into room 701 that day. Hotel location: convenient transportation in Chittagong. Hotel facilities: take a look at the pictures, which were taken when I checked in that day. See the pictures for the bedding and linens. The bed is quite comfortable. Hotel decoration: see the pictures for yourself. Toilet: not separated by dry and wet areas. Breakfast was booked, but not actually available. Hotel service staff: I personally think they are very service-minded. There are just a few mosquitoes at night.
