Up Tree Garden Da Lat

9.8/10
Outstanding

It felt like living in a beautiful garden. The walk from the entrance to my room was lined with all sorts of stunning flowers, along with scenic features like a fish pond, a boat, and small waterfalls. Breakfast was provided, and on a slightly rainy morning, enjoying a warm vegetarian pho soup felt incredibly blissful. They even gave each of us a complimentary drink! The room itself was very cozy, equipped for making tea and coffee, and there was a rocking chair outside perfect for just zoning out. The only thing is that the shower system in the bathroom took some figuring out; it seems quite uncommon for ********* people. I'd recommend asking the staff for instructions right away!

This is an excellent place to stay in Da Lat. It's clean and quiet in the evenings, and the front desk staff are incredibly helpful. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the city center and night market, and 10 minutes from the Crazy House. I rented a scooter for 100k dong for the day. On my checkout day, I offered 50k for a half-day while waiting for my sleeper bus, and they happily agreed, which was very convenient. Just a heads-up, there's what seems like a daycare on the same street, so you might hear a fair bit of children's yelling and crying during the day if your room windows face that way. There's no air conditioning, only a fan. I was there in late April; daytime temperatures were 25-26°C, and around 16°C at night. I wasn't in my room during the day, and at night, I didn't even need the fan. With the window open, it was quiet, no mosquitoes, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable, so I slept like a baby! :)) There are cafes right by the hotel, but in the three days I stayed, I never ate there. I was always out and about, so I ate elsewhere. Overall, after the noise and hustle of Ho Chi Minh City, I truly rested here. I confidently recommend it!

Michelia Valley Hotel

The room was located on the top floor with a view, which was a nice advantage — it was pleasant to sit and enjoy the view. However, there were some downsides. The cleaning felt rather superficial, as there were hairs on the floor from previous guests. There were also noticeable stains on the towels, and the bed sheets did not look completely clean, likely because some stains could not be fully removed. This created a somewhat unpleasant overall impression. The shower also worked a bit oddly, as the water did not always come out from the expected outlet when switching modes. On the positive side, the reception staff were very polite, and at check-out they even offered a small complimentary succulent, which was a nice and unexpected gesture. It is also worth noting that there is no elevator in the hotel, so getting to the upper floors with large luggage may be inconvenient. In our case, it was not an issue since we only had backpacks.

The Manor Villas - Dong Da

Manor Villas Da Lat really offers beautiful scenery. It’s located on the outskirts of the city, yet still only about 5–7 minutes from the lake, which makes it feel peaceful without being too far 🌿 The property is very clean. We originally booked a Superior Room with garden view, but they offered us an upgrade to a suite with city view at a much better price, which we really appreciated. We made the booking around 9 AM after landing early in the morning and arrived at the property around 11 AM. They showed us the upgraded room first before asking us to pay, which felt very transparent. They also tried to arrange an early check-in for us, but after waiting about an hour, we decided to head out and explore the city instead. Unfortunately, I don’t have photos—only videos. One thing that could be improved is the shower area. The floor felt a bit squeaky and slippery, and the shower and toilet are on the same floor level, so the area can get quite wet 🚿 Other than that, everything was great. The staff were super friendly and helpful, amenities were complete (cotton buds, toothbrush, hairdryer), and the shower gel smelled really good. For the price, this place offers great value with a spacious room. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Da Lat 😊

Da Lat Lemongrass - Đà Lạt Sả

I’m so satisfied with my stay! Location: It’s very close to town and within walking distance of the Da Lat night market (Chợ Đà Lạt). At night, there are good bars and pubs nearby that you can walk to. For your convenience, there’s a mart on the main road as well. However, the hostel is situated in an alley that cars cannot access, so you’ll need to park on the main road and walk to the hostel. Service: Top-notch! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they speak English. They let us keep our luggage and relax in the hostel’s common area before and after check-in and check-out. They also provide a common bathroom in case you arrive early or stay late, and they’re happy to call a taxi for you. The best part is that they have motorcycles and bicycles for rent; however, you’ll need to leave your passport with them (we received ours back in good condition). Amenities: They provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay, though there’s no toothpaste provided. The weather is cool enough that you don’t need air conditioning. There’s a common iron and stove available for use (a small fee applies for the stove). Cleanliness: Good for a hostel. They have dogs, but there’s no smell or pet hair around. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! I'll definitely stay here again.

NEST HOUSE Homestay

It's a family run homestay. The location is very good but they do not have an elevator. So the guest has to fetch his luggage from the ground floor to the first or second floor on his own. We booked our room on the 2nd floor. So I had to literally drag our two big luggage from the ground floor up to the second floor. It was really horrible. They do not clean the room unless you request them. They have a very small standard room on the second floor without any balcony. But there is a common balcony facing mountains. You can sit there and enjoy it. You must hire a motorbike if you wish to go to the city on your own. This hotel is located up on the hillside. You can book a cab or a motorbike on the grab application from your mobile phone. There are far better hotels available in the Da Lat city with much better amenities.

this room has a huge window but it faces another house/hotel. tbh I dont mind since it's on the first floor, technically no one could really see you. for the price and the location and all these amenities and services, I could not really ask for more

We had a room with a large, spacious balcony. The room design was simple but neat. It was clean, and the shower cabin was a good size. The location is on a quiet street, a 5-minute walk to the lake, and 10 minutes to the night market. There are cafes and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was quite modest, but it included eggs, pho soup, vegetables, bacon, sausages, bread, watermelon, tea, coffee, and juice.

The hotel's main advantage is its location. Apart from that, the hotel feels quite old. There is no elevator at the hotel, the receptionist carried our luggage upstairs when we checked in. However, when we checked out, we had to carry our luggage downstairs ourselves. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and the water pressure in both the sink and the shower was very weak, making it inconvenient to use. My stay at this hotel ended up being a very unsettling experience. The room door has a partially frosted glass panel, so I could clearly see the shadow of anyone standing outside. A man stood in front of my room several times, and I could see his shadow lingering there. I also saw him reaching for the door handle. It happened around midnight, and I was terrified. I was literally shaking when I reported it to the reception. The receptionist told me he had spoken to the man and said the man was ”just smoking” in the balcony. However, based on what I personally witnessed, it did not seem like someone who was simply smoking. I repeatedly saw his shadow outside my door as he stood there, checking my room. This made me feel extremely unsafe. What made the situation even worse was that there was no additional security latch on the inside of the door, so I did not feel adequately protected. I could barely sleep for the rest of the night. I hope the hotel takes guest safety more seriously by improving room security and ensuring guests feel safe during their stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very clean, cozy, and located in a great area. Most places were within walking distance, but if you have a motorbike, it’s just a short ride to find food or coffee. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The hotel also offers an affordable laundry service, which was very convenient. I will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
