In Jeju's most peaceful village, with the majestic Baksugijeong Pavilion to your side and a peaceful harbor ahead, and the most beautiful coastline on the Olle Trail, especially in the mornings, dolphins occasionally show up to delight you.
This is a small gem of a place nestled in a truly lovely village. I often travel to business hotels, but it's rare to find a place that offers such a relaxing and restful stay.
The cozy room has everything you need, is extremely clean, and the bedding is firm and cozy. The lovely garden and the ocean beyond the window overlook the desk. The tranquility of a book is endless, and the warmth of those who have passed through the house makes the room even warmer.
The loving owners, with their refined hospitality, and the owner's homemade bread and the owner's marmalade are worth the all-night chat.
I plan to visit again when I visit Jeju for business or pleasure.
I had a wonderful rest.

It is close to Seogwipo Olle Market and the intercity bus terminal.
A guesthouse renovated from the old Midojang.
A good place to stay for a day or two.
I visited Mido Hostel again for the first time in almost 10 years.
I accidentally stayed for 5 consecutive nights, forgetting my age, and in a dormitory at that.
There was nothing uncomfortable about sleeping, but I was embarrassed by the shared restrooms and bathrooms.
It was exactly the same as before.
The shared kitchen has been replaced by a container on the rooftop, and the reception area where the kitchen used to be has been changed into a bar or cafe.
I felt like I would be a nuisance, so I didn't even think about going to the cafe except to ask for a towel. In the evening, a small party, like a dinner gathering, was held among the guests.
I think it would be a good experience for young people.

The women's dorm was nice! 4 bunk beds. The ladder for the top bunk was stable. Close to the bus stop and the seongsan port. Working AC, clean private bathroom, clean comfy beds, and the lady was very nice. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Guest UserThe room is spacious but without a single chair, this is quite inconvenient. The front of house staff was not very polite. The house keeping staff were even worst. The house keeping team started making constant noise very earlier in the morning. I am definitely not a light sleeper but I still find the noise very disturbing. This is a very inconsiderate behaviour.
Moreover, the housekeeping staff was very rude and do not understand English word at all. I do not prefer housekeeping and I shout ‘NO’/ ‘NO NEED’ for a couple of times, she still doesn’t understand and keep knocking my door. This is very disturbing. When I gave up and opened the door to communicate, she spoke rudely.
The hardware of the hotel is not bad, but the staff definitely need more training. Quite a bad experience.

Guest UserI was lucky to have the room for my own. I slept very comfortable and I like that the washroom/shower is inside the room. The house is easily accessible by bus and even though is close to the road is very quiet. The ocean is nearby. Seongsan is a nice 20 min walk away, or you can take the bus if preferred. There's a restaurant on the lower floor and many more options around.
The host is very nice and even though she doesn't speak English makes you feel welcomed. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, although too early for me lol.
Check in can be complicated if there's nobody when you arrive and if you don't speak Korean, cause you have to call to inform you're there. It would be great if they have an email address for contact.

Guest UserOur group of 8 booked four rooms. When some family members had a last-minute change of plans and couldn't make it, the hotel was kind enough to let us cancel one room, which was very helpful. The living environment was very comfortable and spacious! The nearby rapeseed flower fields were beautiful for casual photos. It's only a 10-minute walk to the Seongsan Ilchulbong entrance and about 15 minutes to the Udo ferry terminal, which is super convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly and even helped us book our trip to Seogwipo! If you're planning to visit Udo or Seongsan Ilchulbong, I would definitely recommend staying here again.

[REAL-LIFE REVIEW] Perfect for Families or Road Trippers
Title: A Cozy and Tranquil Retreat Near Seongsan Ilchulbong 🌊
• Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
• Short Review:
I stayed at Sunrise Hotel Seongsan for two nights, and overall, it was very relaxing. Compared to the hustle and bustle of the city, this place offers a sense of tranquility. The hotel staff were friendly, the surroundings were simple and peaceful, and morning strolls nearby were delightful.
• Highlights of My Stay:
• Excellent Location: Within walking distance to nearby restaurants and cafes, and just a 10-minute drive from Aqua Planet Aquarium and Seopjikoji.
• Cleanliness: Although the building isn't brand new, the room was spotless, and the bed provided good support, ensuring a sound sleep.
• Convenient Parking: Plenty of parking spaces right at the entrance, so no worries about finding a spot if you're driving.
• Summary:
This hotel is ideal for travelers who prioritize scenic views and convenient transportation over luxurious decor. I highly recommend booking an ”Ocean View” room; that window view will definitely enhance your travel experience.

AvaXJLocation: A newly opened hotel that is only 2 months old. Very near to the bus stop (same side as buses coming from Seogwipo, just walk right after alight and turn left at the first corner - less than 200m total distance). Seongsan Ilchulbong is another 200m walk away, great if you want to wake up early for a sunrise hike. Seven -11 is just opposite the bus stop.
Amenities: Clean hotel with a small pantry at the lobby where you can make coffee, get hot water and new towels.
Staff: Owner, Heewon is a lovely lady. I was locked out of my room late at night and she came to my rescue after calling the number left at the reception door.

This hostel is nearby to the main attraction of Seongsan Ilchulbong. My parents and I have our own cozy room although the room is a bit dated. You can walk to the restaurant nearby and plenty of choices from western to korean food. One good thing is check-in and check-out are all self-served which made it easy.

Guest UserI made a reservation through a friend's recommendation, and it had 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms for 4 people, so it was more comfortable than my own home. It's really cost-effective. I'll have to make a reservation next time I travel to Jeju.
