The gateway to Gwangju, located in Jeollanam-do, is Youth Square at Gwangju Bus Terminal! This hotel is located 8 minutes on foot from Youth Square. It's very conveniently located when you come from other areas or when you go to Incheon Airport. The hotel rooms were very clean and I had a comfortable stay. There was a computer in the room so I could do research and the Wi-Fi was stable and very fast. There was also a refrigerator with two bottles of water, and the shower room was spacious and clean. There were dispensers on the wall for shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, and towels were also available! The bedroom was also very spacious, and I was able to easily spread out my large carrier, and there was a chair and desk so I could work easily. I was surprised to see that there was a dresser in the room so I could clean my clothes! There was a water server and a coffee machine at the front desk, which was very convenient ☕️ Breakfast was mostly Korean food, and there was Western food like bread and cereal! Although my room was small, it had everything I needed and was quiet and clean. I was particularly happy with the shower - plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Moreover, the front desk and housekeeping were all very professional and helpful. I chose the hotel because of its proximity to some of the places I wanted to visit and because it was close to the waterfront. I quite enjoyed my walks there mornings and evenings. It also turned out to be right across from Lotte Mart Maxx and within a 5-minute walk from both Daiso and Paris Baguette. Breakfast was included in the extremely affordable price. It was not gourmet but perfectly adequately and filling. If I ever return to Mokpo, I will certainly consider staying at Hound Hotel.

Overall, it offers excellent value for money! All rooms are sea-facing, and there's a parking lot conveniently located on the ground floor. Both Ganjang Gejang Street and Lotte Supermarket are just a few hundred meters away, making them a short walk. You'll also frequently find mobile fruit stalls nearby selling very affordable produce.

The facilities are a bit old; even the sheets are patched. It was difficult to find the hotel because the reception is accessed through the parking lot. This is probably because it's a love hotel and guests prefer privacy. The room is large and quiet. The bed is comfortable. The room has a TV, refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer, and hair straightener. There are chargers for electronic devices. The bathroom is large, has a bathtub, and they provide shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. There are toiletries in small bags. Pajamas and slippers are also provided. There is coffee and a microwave in the reception area. The staff is very friendly. We didn't like: there's no wardrobe, and you don't know where to put your clothes; there are only two hangers on the wall. It's probably intended for a one-night stay. The towels are hand towels, not bath towels, making it very difficult to dry yourself properly. But without a doubt, the worst thing is the smell. It smells like old tobacco; it's so strong it's almost like garbage. The lights are difficult to adjust. We didn't even know how to turn off the bathroom light without turning off all the others.

I would 100% return. The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and great for the price! I highly recommend this place to foreigners. However, if you're taller than 170cm, your ankles might stick out of the bed, which is a bit disappointing. The bed is small... Also, make sure the refrigerator is plugged in before using it. They provide plenty of towels and toilet paper. It's close to the bus stop, so you can walk there. There's also a convenience store nearby... It's not too noisy. Hotel situé proche arrêt de bus en venant du terminal des bus.,ainsi que pour faire les visites.Chambre correcte pour une personne ,propre,bonne literie par contre décoration surchargée ce qui rend la chambre plus petite,le plus le fauteuil de massage bien qu'un peu défoncé fonctionne très bien à condition de savoir le mettre en route car pas de notice en anglais. Le lendemain le ménage n'était pas fait (1janvier?) mais à la réception j'ai eu des disettes de café et bouteilles d'eau quand le soir j'ai ete demander.

This motel was probably the cleanest one I have stayed at. No stains on the bed or towels, and the floor was clean. The only bad thing is that the ceiling went up into a kind of square shape above the bed, and there was a big bug (not a roach) above where my head was, and there's like a little trough area so it was able to hide, too, and it wouldn't die, no matter how many times I sprayed it. I couldn't change rooms until the next day, so I slept with my head at the foot of the bed. The next day, I was moved to a different room with a wooden panel sticking down from the ceiling so no bugs would fall. They also kept my luggage while I went out for the day, and the workers were friendly. It was a good stay overall.

It was the same as the picture. It was spacious and comfortable. There were all restaurants and marts nearby. It was nice to see. I stayed in No. 208, but the coffee pot dryer was broken and it didn't work. Fortunately, there was a water purifier right in front of the room. ㅋ I should have told the boss, but I couldn't tell him because he was empty. I'm going to go to Wando again next time.

Although it was a little old, it was overall a satisfactory accommodation. Mano is a place with motels and hotels nearby, and there are many restaurants, so it is a good location.
