Family JEONGGwangju H1 Hotel Stay Review: A Place Standing Out for Pleasant Room Conditions and Thoughtful Attention
The H1 Hotel where I stayed this time was an accommodation that was generally clean and offered excellent convenience. Here are a few of the advantages I experienced during my actual stay.
1. Panoramic City View and Pleasant Room Environment
The first thing that catches the eye is the unobstructed view visible through the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The natural light is excellent, making the entire room bright and providing a great sense of openness. In particular, since the flooring is wooden rather than carpet, I was able to stay much more hygienically without worrying about dust. With two generously sized beds, it is spacious and comfortable, making it a great place to stay for a family trip with children. The desk, which runs along the wall, was also very useful for placing luggage or doing simple tasks.
2. Thoughtful Amenities: Garment Care Appliance and Premium Bathrobe
One of the things I liked most was that a garment care appliance was installed in the room. I was very satisfied to be able to keep my coats and clothes neatly clean after wearing them outside, allowing me to wear them fresh and fresh the next day. A thick, soft bathrobe was provided in the closet, allowing for a pleasant rest after a shower. Additionally, a portable light was prominently placed, impressing me with the attention paid to safety management.
3. Best Convenience: Convenience Store on-site
With an E-Mart 24 convenience store located within the building, the convenience is truly top-notch. I felt secure throughout my stay, as I could easily purchase snacks for the children, necessary items, and simple drinks at any time without having to go far, even late at night.
Overall Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From the modern and clean rooms to thoughtful amenities like a garment steamer, and the accessibility of the convenience store on the first floor, there was nothing to fault about this place. I highly recommend this accommodation not only to business travelers but also to families.

My trip to Yeosu with my parents was even better thanks to staying at a great hotel. My first visit was so memorable that I was delighted with it, and I was as satisfied as ever. The ocean views from the living room and bedroom were breathtaking. I'll definitely stay at Sono Calm again on my third trip to Yeosu!

The facilities were incredibly clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The room was spotless, and the sauna was meticulously maintained by a staff member who constantly cleaned the fixtures. It’s the first time I've seen a sauna without a single hair! The cypress wood bath in the sauna smelled wonderful and was so refreshing. I used the sauna both on the evening of my arrival and the next morning – I wish there was a discount for repeat use! After the sauna, there are massage chairs on the same floor with an ocean view, and best of all, they're free! I lost count of how many times I used them.
I also really enjoyed the breakfast. Some reviews mentioned a lack of variety, but I found it to be very substantial. They had Yeosu specialties like *gat-kimchi* and *gejang* (marinated crabs), along with other local dishes, and everything was delicious without being overly seasoned. It really made me feel like I was truly in Yeosu.
Overall, the service was excellent. When I called the front desk about food waste from my late-night snack, they promptly came to collect it. And at checkout, I even received a cute cookie! Staying at Hidden Bay reminded me of some regional hotels in Japan. It truly feels like a hotel firmly rooted in local character. Thanks to this, I had a truly wonderful and relaxing time, and I'll definitely be back when I visit Yeosu again. (This is a genuine review from my own pocket!)

coffee123As it is a newly remodeled hotel, it is very clean and the room condition is excellent.
With only about 30 rooms, there is no need to worry about parking.
The breakfast is fantastic considering the size of the hotel.
It is uncrowded even if you visit after 8 AM.
It is not crowded.
However, since it is still a new building, there is some construction dust.

Great! I loved that it has a laundry machine in the room (no dryer or drying rack, tho). And it also has an induction stove (but no cutlery or any pot or pan or dish, haha). It doesn't have iron nor fabric refreshner but that's common for Korean hotels. Tho I listed things they don't have, they have amazing view, great clean crisp bed, great café at the lobby, a zip line (discounted for guests), and an infinity pool (can be used with a bit of fee).

Hotel itself was clean and quiet. In addition, the view was great for both sides. We stayed in ondol room with mountain view, but mountains were far and we could enjoy the view of surrounding area.
We used taxi for transportation to restraurants, cable car, and museum. Since the hotel is in Youngam area while most tourist destinations are in Mokpo area, you need to plan wisely.
Nonetheless, it was very satisfactory as a whole.

Guest UserThe hotel itself was fine. The rooms were clean and had everything one might need.
The location was fantastic, the area is vibrant and the nearby national park is easy to access.
The light switch in the room is difficult to locate - if you are looking for this, try the contraption next to the bed that looks like a telephone.
They advertise that they have a gym - there is a gym in the building, but it is a separate business to the hotel. It’s unmanned and requires you to call a local number to use, this is problematic for foreign travelers.
The hotel also states that there are nine hot tubs for you to use, there is no evidence of this, again, a separate business in the building was listed as a men’s sauna but there was no evidence that this existed.
They also state that their front desk speaks English- there were no English speakers on site in the time we were there.

A four-star hotel. The facilities were excellent.
However, the lack of individual air conditioning was disappointing.
Please improve this. A family room for four people should have at least four bottles of water and four towels, but I was disappointed to find only two per person.

Guest UserI booked a Lotte Hotel affiliate to feel safer staying in the area, as there are many entertainment venues nearby. I was satisfied with the overall service and facilities, and I experienced no major inconveniences. However, the blackout curtains in the room were not installed completely, so the light blocking was disappointing. Those who are sensitive to their sleeping environment should keep this in mind.
