Find 2-Star Hotels in Taishan

It was a little confusing where the front desk was at first, as I wasn’t able to locate the hotel name anywhere in the building. I guess there was some sort of agreement made with the front desk on the 15th floor (under a different hotel name), as they were able to check me in. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfy, and location was great - right next to a giant mall with many restaurants and arcades inside. Though I ran into a sketchy looking man in the elevator who didn’t seem to have a fob? And they just followed me off when it was my floor. It was concerning and I didn’t see any security guards in the building during my stay.

The hotel is 8km from the high-speed train station, so transportation is decent. The king room was a good size and had a window, plus a separate shower and toilet. I really appreciated the four different pillows of varying firmness and height. A simple breakfast is provided, and the eel rice at the restaurant downstairs on the corner was delicious.

Located halfway up the mountain, the roadside is lined with plants, giving it a secluded paradise feel. It's only a 10-minute walk from the seafood market, which is very convenient. The room is clean and odor-free, and the landlady is very welcoming. The lychee tree in front of the door is full of lychees. If you go a month later, you can taste the fresh ones, haha!

Everything about your hotel was excellent, but my check-out experience yesterday left me utterly displeased! I had explicitly arranged for a late check-out until 3:00 PM as one of my entitled benefits. Yet, around 1 PM, a front desk attendant called to inquire if I wished to extend my stay. I informed her that I wouldn't be extending and would be checking out. I proceeded to check out at 2:03 PM and departed. What truly shocked me was that while I was waiting for the elevator, I distinctly overheard your front desk attendant, seemingly unaware I was still within earshot, mocking me in a local dialect with a colleague. Her exact words were, 'Looks like she's got boiling water under her feet, doesn't she?' This incident makes me seriously question whether your staff management truly instills professional etiquette. Do your employees show basic respect to ordinary guests? Is there a fundamental lack of moral education? If the answer to all these questions is negative, then perhaps it's time for a serious re-evaluation of your staff's positions and a thorough adjustment of their roles.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, oh my goodness!!! First off, the environment is fantastic and not misleading like some 'photo fakes.' You can see from other guests' photos that the actual accommodations are true to life (I made such a mess during my stay that I'm embarrassed to post my own photos!). The space is large and well-laid out. Outside the room, as shown in the pictures, there's also a small area (I assume for smoking) which is great for a breeze, and the views are beautiful~ Secondly, regarding the deposit, I accidentally stained the bed sheets last night when my period unexpectedly started in the middle of the night (I tried my best to clean it afterward, and it shouldn't affect the hotel's future use). I thought the 100 RMB deposit I paid at check-in wouldn't be returned, but it was credited back to my account! I'm so touched, waaaaah! Thank you to all the staff involved! And by the way, for the third point, the hotel's location is super easy to find, right next to a shopping mall. Plus, the staff's service attitude is excellent; they fully supported all my requests! If I have the chance, I will definitely keep choosing to stay at this hotel!!!!!!

The overall environment is okay, and the neighborhood is not noisy. Even though the duplex apartment is forced to be divided into two rooms, it is a bit humorous. The door to my room leads to the stairs. But when you get up there, it’s pretty much the same as advertised in the pictures. I didn’t take pictures of the inside, but the price/performance ratio is pretty good.

Located in the pedestrian street of Taishan Old Town, the hotel has a great location with a beautiful environment. The rooms are very clean, and the bathroom has a separate shower and toilet. The hotel reception staff are very welcoming and provide excellent service. Parking is available in front of the hotel.

The hotel is opposite the 802 bus stop coming from railway station very near the pedestrian road. The room and toilet were renovated, clean and sufficiently equipped with fridge and washing machine. There are 2 blocks, the main block have limited superior rooms and the other blocks caters more to long staying guests and standard rooms. Food is easily available around the area. The reception lady was very friendly and courteous and gives good information about the city. Overall a good stay.

The weather has not been very good recently. I was worried about whether it would rain before I went out, but when I arrived on the island, I was almost dried out in the sun. Hahahaha, I picked a good day. I booked a great hotel. It's very high-end. The room is clean and hygienic and has no smell. You can see the sea from the bed. The store also has a very good service attitude. You can now swim in the sea. In the evening, we had dinner at the restaurant next door downstairs of the hotel. The chef's skills were really good and I was very satisfied with the meal. The next day I rented a car at the hotel and went on a self-driving tour. Except for Flying Beach, you don’t need to buy tickets for other attractions on the island. When you go to Windmill Mountain, you can see the entire Shangchuan Island, and you can buy a lot of souvenirs under the Shadi Fishing Port. This trip was great! !

Although I have been to Shangchuan Island several times, the Guanrilou Hotel I stayed at this time was really the best experience. The hotel is located right in the middle of the beach. It is less than ten meters away from the beach😂👍. The boss is very enthusiastic and picked us up at the pier for free. The boss also sent us there for free on the last boat on the return trip. Thumbs up👍! The food and barbecue in the hotel are good value for money. I recommend friends who come here to stay here. You will not be disappointed🌈
