ZziyejanMy room was on the 16th floor. The window faced the cooling towers of the surrounding buildings, and the noise and vibration at night were incredibly loud! With the window closed, it was still over 40 decibels, and with it open, it was another 10+ decibels. It was really hard to sleep at night!!! The hotel and several malls share only 3 elevators. This was very inconvenient, especially during peak hours. They provided plenty of bottled water for drinking. When checking in to the hotel, it was around 2:35 PM, which was a busy time. The wait was quite long; it took at least 20 minutes to get the room card. The room space was very small; I don't think it was as large as described. Parking was only on Basement 1, and the parking lot was huge. It shared spaces with the mall, and combined with it being a weekend and offering 4 hours of free parking, there were a lot of cars. I also saw some minor fender benders when cars were exiting. What I was quite satisfied with was the mattress; it was very comfortable. The public areas were quite comfortable. The breakfast and afternoon tea area had a pleasant environment, a wide variety of options, and good quality food. There was a fully automatic freshly ground coffee machine. The main advantage is its proximity to the mall, making shopping and dining convenient. You can add the hotel on WeChat for communication, and the service was generally satisfactory. We booked a total of 1 twin room and 4 king rooms.

Parking was convenient, and the amenities were complete. My only minor complaint is that the bathroom fan and light couldn't be controlled separately.

GGuest UserExcellent visit to Taishan and this Fairfield Marriott has to be a hotel of 1st choice. This is a new hotel that opened in 2025 in Taishan’s newer residential areas. Responsive service although language-wise, front desk communicates best in Putonghua. Their Cantonese is average and English is poor (but they try). This is a weak point as many visitors may be overseas Taishanese where English may be the 1st language. Rooms were large and comfortable. They are well-designed, making use of sliding glass panels to demarcate private toilet/shower area from the bedroom area. I paid a bit more for a corner room which had large windows on two walls (North-Easterly Aspect), improved glass panel design features and a separate table/desk with chair and light for getting work done. Room design comes with a long Oakwood and Marble shelf which runs the length of the suite which was very useful for placing luggage and for visitor seating. Restaurant is excellent with Chinese, local Taishan delicacies and Western food choices. Washer-dryer facilities are excellent and on-screen TV gives a realtime update of laundry room machine availability - the first that I have seen this in a hotel, but makes sense. Hotel adjoins a very large 4 floor shopping centre with all of the shopping that you might want, and multiple food options.

On the second day of Chinese New Year, there was a lively lion dance performance at the entrance, creating a strong festive atmosphere. The only drawback was that there weren't many elevators, so I had to wait a few minutes during peak hours.

CCorrine LeungWe traveled all through Asia & this was the largest, nicest & the most reasonable of all!! My sister stayed here many years ago in 2018 & recommended this place for myself & my cousins so that we can visit our family village which was 29 minutes away. We had an entire room for our shower & love the private bathroom! The front desk went out of our way to assist. The breakfast was plentiful & amazing! Unfortunately I was sick in bed for 2 days, & the house maid quietly came in & emptied our 2 garbage cans & left us fresh towels while I was laying in bed. She may have cleaned our toilet also. I already have recommended this place to my friends . Thank you !!!

CCzxiangTaishan isn't a very large city, and the hotel is conveniently located in the southern part of the downtown area, making it easy to get in and out by car. There's plenty of parking available. The hotel is situated within a Country Garden development, and the exterior still bears traces of the Country Garden Phoenix logo. I assume it was originally an amenity of the Country Garden complex, later outsourced or leased to the current owners. At first glance, the hotel facilities don't seem old, but after using them, I felt the maintenance wasn't quite up to par. For example, the electric curtains in the room couldn't be controlled, and the water pressure in the bathroom and toilet was relatively low. During my stay, there was also a noticeable odor emanating from the first-floor lobby restroom, indicating it needed repairs. Housekeeping also forgot to replenish toiletries and left a cleaning towel in the room – quite a few minor issues overall. Of course, the price during the off-season was very reasonable, about half of the original cost, offering good value for money.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel due to its proximity to both my home and my grandparents' house. However, an event called the ”All-China National Games”, specifically a volleyball tournament held in Taishan - meant that most of the players were also staying here. I understand that this arrangement was likely due to government decision-making. Nonetheless, this situation caused significant inconvenience to regular guests. For instance, delivery services (robots) were prohibited, and access to the self-service laundry was restricted. When I asked for assistance, a staff member stated, ”We don't do laundry for customers.” Only after I explained my inconvenience was caused by the national games did the manager offer to make an exception, saying, ”We will do laundry for you since you are a special case these days.” This reasoning is highly unsatisfactory. The reason I couldn't do my laundry was that I was denied access to the sixth floor, where the laundry room is located. If the hotel cannot adequately accommodate regular customers during such events, they should not accept bookings from the public.

GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at the Manley Hotel during my visit to Taishan. The service was excellent—staff were attentive, helpful, and made the experience feel welcoming from check-in to check-out. The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options just steps away. Even if you need to head into downtown Taishan, taxis are easy to find and very affordable, making it simple to get around the city. The breakfast offered at the hotel was great, though it’s worth noting that it’s entirely Chinese cuisine—something I personally enjoyed, especially for an authentic local experience. The downside was the laundry dryer— There was only one dryer for 3 washing machines, it didn’t work very efficiently and took about six hours to dry a single load, which was a bit frustrating. The Wi-Fi was also very unreliable, it would connect and then drop constantly. Even when it would work, the speeds would fluctuate. Overall, I’d recommend the Manley Hotel for its excellent service, local charm, and convenient location.

AAnonymous UserFacilities: Very complete. Just bring your own food, seasonings, disposable bowls and chopsticks. Staying in the villa allows you to make delicious meals like at home. It also has its own yard for barbecue. Hygiene: Generally OK. But the bedding is a bit old Environment: Quiet surroundings. Convenient parking. We had 5 cars parked at the door of the villa without any problems. It was convenient to pack up. The children loved the swimming pool and slide the most. They had a lot of fun. Service: Butler Ajun was enthusiastic and responsive.
