"The hotel is very new, and modern facility. The 65inch TV can be connected to mobile phone Youtube, and you can enjoy it when back to hotel. The service was excellent, and in particular to Hoque, who provided a home welcoming feeling after 18 hour long flight from Asia.
On Christmas Day, the hotel restaurant was fully booked. Hoque helped us arrange a seat in the bar. And we had a wonderful Christmas dinner there. This hotel is highly recommended. Regarding the transportation, if you are willing to call Uber, this location definitely is not an issue."
"great elevated location with views across the bay, despite being in a busy part, its still a quiet alley and good easy parking.
the staff was very friendly. and served great breakast.
the spa costs extra which is always a bit odd, but they have a rooftop pool that is included for guests and its a great place to chill and catch some sun.
we rented suite with a yakuzzi and the yakuzzi never got heated (tried everything on the settings panel)..maybe they could pay some attention to that
all in all we would gladly return here"
"Nice location but construction on road so no vehicle access at the moment."

"I took my family and kids on vacation. The hotel prepared a folding crib in advance, which was very considerate. The kid was 100cm tall and could sleep in it! Although the check-in time was a bit late, the hotel staff was very nice. You can choose to pay for early check-in and late check-in before check-in. We wanted to pay for late check-out before checking out, but unfortunately the room was booked. The front desk staff suggested to extend the check-out time for one hour for free. Although it didn't suit our final plan, we were very grateful for this suggestion. The morning was also very rich. The rooftop was beautiful, and we also saw the fireworks at the port on the rooftop! I had a great vacation! Recommended!"
"Very beautiful, very convenient to go anywhere, very suitable for living, Malta is so great, the hotel service attitude is also very good, breakfast is not lost to a five-star hotel"
"The hotel is located in the center of St. Julian's Bay, surrounded by the hotel district. Many chain and well-known hotels in Malta are within sight. Be hotel is actually in a huge commercial center. We stayed on the 7th floor, with a small corner balcony (smoking allowed). Right below is the famous bar street in St. Julian's Bay, which is very lively at night, with many young people enjoying the bright lights and nightlife. We happened to stay here on Friday and Saturday. Every day, the deafening music from the bar downstairs lasted almost until three or four in the morning of the next day."
"Modern hotel with smart technology and friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is centrally located with 24/7 access so very suitable for Tourists and visitors."
"The rooms are a bit small, others are good, and travel is very convenient.
Breakfast is not used in the hotel, the breakfast price is 10 Euro per person.
No extra bed in the room, no extra room
There is no dedicated parking lot. There is parking space at the entrance of the hotel."
"Neat, clean, well decorated and great service by the staff. It was my first time at the hotel and the staff were very helpful in leading me to the location by sending one of their team members who took my heavy trolley and helped me reach the hotel. I received a welcome personalised message on a letter styled card by the hotel manager to make me feel welcomed. The room was nice that had a balcony , I was pleased with the bathroom size, the presence of the bath gel and hand gel large sized bottles. Well furnished and WiFi working well. They also have a cafe and restaurant area for breakfast. I recommend this hotel also because the location is ideally located."

Amazing
YYan Tong KohNice location if one is looking for a seaside holiday. Quiet, peaceful with lovely views of the sea. If one is looking for a location that is easy to travel around, then staying at Valletta might be more convenient as the bus and main ferry terminal is situated there. However, if one is touring by car / taxi then the consideration where the bus terminal is would be less important.
Filling breakfast (though it doesn’t vary very much from day to day) and serves its function of filling one up for the start of the day! Rooms are neat and tidy, some areas show wear and tear but does not affect the overall functionality of the room. Good and clean comfy beds.
Excellent service by the hotel staff who made the stay enjoyable. We unfortunately had an accident with the sliding bathroom door but the hotel staff did their best to make the rest of our stay as worry-free as possible.
FFabinnThe hotel is quite old - not sure if it is recently refurbished. Our balcony is right next to the path to the beach with a connecting door… very noisy in the morning and totally lack of privacy. And it was not communicated to us upon arrival.
The safety box in the room is malfunctioned… so I carried all my valuables with me. Unfortunately, on our way back to hotel, our passports and cash got stollen…
I requested for make-up service the second day (we stayed for two nights) but nobody came. So we didnt get the room made up. Very disappointed.
The view from the room is probably the highlight. And the access to the pool of the sister property is a perk.
Reception team is not friendly. Never provided proactive service.
GGuest UserVery satisfied
The front desk service was very good, solved the problem in time, and let us check in early
The breakfast in the morning was also rich and delicious, and there were entertainment venues
The location is good, there are many shopping malls around, you can go shopping, and you can also take a bus to the ancient city
SSadiqul KadirNo complaints at all. New and clean hotel with great service. Rooms are designed very well and the windows do provide great sound proofing. This hotel is definitely aimed at a specific audience so if you want to get an early night's sleep it might not be for you. Rooftop pool was incredible. All in all perfect hotel for a trip to malta.
GGuest UserFirst the good, then the bad and finally the worst.
The best: their employees, almost all of them are superb.
The bad: they have some estrange (and IMO abusive rules) like charging 25€ for every keycard that is lost. Hey, a keycard is 0.20€ worth, what’s the reason for charging x100 the value of it? Even in most places they don’t even pick them up upon check-out.
The worst: its supposed to be an Adults Only hotel. Well, it is, except in the place where you wouldn’t like to see them at all, in the SPA! There are children in the SPA of an only adults hotel (which spa rules don’t allow) and when you ask it’s “management decision”…
And! It’s a new property, one year open now, and their lifts work backwards (if you call them to go up, they will stop going down, so you’ll see many people in the lifts doing strange stops and delaying other guests). One whole year and they didn’t even thought about turning the call button the way around?
Will I be back? Depends on the price, this time the value for money paid was very good so maybe if I find the same offer I will, if not… I wouldn’t pay extra
GGuest UserThe two best things about this hotel for me were the location and the service though in many ways wherever you stay the latter is probably going to be the most important.
I rashly booked somewhere in St Julian not realising it was the centre of nightlife in Malta. I was hoping for somewhere more quiet! However, fate then led me to book the Ivy and I was glad in the end that I had booked ‘blind’. Its location is actually on a quiet street yet just a few mins from the action. Because if it’s location I’d certainly think about staying there again.
The room was spacious, clean and really well apportioned. Super modern bathroom and pleasant balcony. The tea and coffee making facilities were unexpected but most welcome.
I should mention the food. I had breakfast each day and it was tasty, varied and plentiful. I didn’t really go for the cooked breakfast option as I tend to prefer the traditional English cooked breakfast which I find is not easily replicated abroad. What I could see looked decent enough though.
The service however is what sells the place. I don’t know the manager’s name but we did exchange a few words. She struck me as someone who runs a tight ship whilst also managing to nurture a genuinely friendly and helpful approach towards customer service. Service was therefore both efficient and effective, staff courteous and attentive. Qualities reflected by everyone I met.
So, all in all, a great stay thank you!
GGuest UserThis was my first time at Antoniel Suites. I arrived late at night after midnight from the airport. Once I arrived I found the door locked and nobody was at the reception. Initially, I was anxious and worried, not sure of what to do but then luckily I found a big note mentioning the working times of the reception and the numbers to contact in case we needed help. I called the number and I received assistance directly. It was my mistake because I did not inform the reception of my arrival time even though they had sent me a message but due to my busy schedule, I missed the opportunity to check the message and reply on time. In this context, while this is a negative point that a reception must be available 24/7 since standard hotels will have this in place, however, I am thankful to the hotel for the fact they accommodated my need immediately when I arrived despite the odd hour. Also, they were accessible via WhatsApp number/call. However, I do strongly recommend the hotel administration change this and instead have a 24/7 receptionist since it can be intimidating for people at the first instance to not find anyone at the counter and a door locked. In terms of the room's cleanliness, it was reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable. Also, the balcony view was the best part because I could keep it open at night and sleep instead of using air conditioning. In terms of the basic amenities, i.e., there was no toothpaste or tooth brush or water bottle or kettle so do not expect anything luxury. Whether I would stay here again, I am not sure because it did not fulfil all my requirements and from a value for money perspective no it does not deserve that much because there were minimal requirements in place, however I would like to thank you the staff because they were friendly, helpful to the best of their ability and dealt with guests with respect and utmost professionalism.
BBohemianRMy overall stay at the Mercure has been an extremely pleasant trip, excellent facilities, highly professional and polite front desk staff who are efficient in handling your queries. Excellent location to all the nearby attractions and shopping malls, Mercury Mall and Bay Street. The rooms are spacious, love the lighting and decor with a minimalist and elegant look. Total recommended
GGuest UserReception staff helped with early check in and responded to email enquiry promptly out of hours
Room was serviced properly every day
Quiet ant night and very location a short walk from Spinola Bay/St Julian’s- safe at night
WiFi in room only downside. Very poor signal and hard to connect too all week
SSergioMendesI HAVE LOVED MY STAY. First time visiting Malta, booked the room last hour and I did not regret. The hotel was beautiful, and I booked the lower categorie room, still was amazing. It is located in the heart of the party district, so if you are in Malta to party. It is ideal. Very silent rooms, great space, comfortable bed. If you are planning a more sexual adventure trip, the ceileing mirrors and some fun chains in the room might help you out with the fun. Either you go with someone or want to meet someone in the island just for fun.
The Spa and piscina are fantastic and a great place to relax or even start the day.
The breakfast buffet options were awesome and everything was freah and delicious.
St. Julian's it is also very central in Malta, so if you want to plan and travel around, the location is fantastic to be able to see so many other places in the Island.
When it comes to the service and staff. Everyone was impeccable. From the reception team, to the security, to the waiters and even the cleaning team. Everyone was always very nice and helpful. Met Sandra, on my arrival, and coincidentally she was also working 3 days later when I was checking out, She did a great job. The Hugo's group have a few more of their places around, Hugo's Pub, Bacco by Hugo's, the Hugo's Burger and others, but these were the ones I also checked out and again, everything was great.
I tolally recommend a stay in here. 10 out of 10 for me.
