Clean rooms! Rooms are quite spacious and centrally located. Prefer a window room during winter.

Absolutely stunning place to be in. Hotel is very near Yu Gardens and Cheng Huang Miao. The nearest train station is just about 10-15 mins walk, very convenient. Housekeeper were very attentive and helped to clean our room everyday, spotless 👍🏻 Receptionists were friendly and always never fails to greet all the guest. Definitely recommend this place for all fellow travellers 👍🏻

Clean room with bidet closet, free use washing machine, walking distance to yu garden, staff can not speak english, but willing to use their phone to make translations, even willing to help buy food in the restaurant next door because we can not use delivery apps.

Nice hotel and good location and there have a shattel bus for the bund and yu garden

Summary: never again ++ free bottled water at reception (heated water) + location (easy Didi access, close to sights) + bed quality + cleanliness (was cleaned every day) + friendless at reception + storage possibilities - breakfast room was too loud, too many people, so I had breakfast next door at McDonald's... - English at reception desk (6 encounters, while 3 had to use their phone for translations) - shower water pressure on 6th floor quite low - room was quite dark, as the window opened to an inner courtyard the size of a bathroom. Light came in through a skylight - room setup was quite unusual, as you walk through the bathroom to reach the bedroom - - thin walls!! Could hear frequent spitting, water running, conversations, kids playing and moaning... nothing child appropriate). All 4 nights! - - animal welfare (2 birds sitting in a too small cage hanging in the entrance area, one bird already acting apathetic from stress, constant light, no space; I truly did not expect this from an international hotel chain. Could have cried upon seeing the birds)

Amazing staff! Leo and Cui generously helped us return our parcels and arranged for a courier service to transfer our luggage to another city at an affordable rate. Stay was very comfortable, staff were readily available to help, there’s free laundry and dryer service, free warm bottled water at the concierge, amazing and kind housekeepers too. Location is also very convenient, just a short travel time to attractions like Xin Tian Di and The Bund. Recommended stay!!

The room was pretty clean and big TV, good internet, aesthetic  rooms and furnishings. The room had centralised heating which was automatic and also Electronic heated toilet seat with endless warm water and multifunctional wash functions, . From the time of inquiry until the check up I was so pleased by the hotel's services and staff. The room and the corridors are extremely clean and well maintained. There were refreshments at the entrance. I requested for dust free beddings or else I often end up with allergies from the micro fibre/ dust and I was super pleased that they took care of the beddings as per my request. I received a complimentary coffee and I was carefully escorted to my room by the Lovely and kind front desk officer Rong Hu - Stenven.  Stenven has been highly helpful with all possible information related to sharing maps and locations and links to the nearest dining spots, cafe or any landmark that I was looking for. He has been super diligent with his hospitality service. The location is convenient as well. Walking distance to the Shanghai Bund and there is a shopping mall right across the hotel.

It was really a memorable stay at Mercure Shanghai yu on the bund! The front desk let me check in earlier upon my arrival, helped me with my huge luggages. Cozy place. Walking distance to yu yuan. Don’t like to walk? Don’t worry, hotel provides free shuttle to few must visit spot all day long, utilise and save on didi :) Walking distance to 小杨生煎 too. Love the room setting, huge space for 2 large luggage and a cabin luggage, still have spacious walkway. The window is covered with net prevent mosquito visit 😛 yet still can feel the chilling weather of Shanghai. The most impressive staff is ms 葛强芬 at the 2F dining, hardworking from front desk, rapid cleaning, fill water for coffee machine, replenish food and check on our needs. I left a jacket and she kept for me until my next day visit. 😍 Unlimited drinking water, chilled or warm to your liking. The warm flower tea served at lobby is nice too! Complimentary canned drink in the fridge. Linen clean and daily housekeeping. Super hardworking team. Besides, the intercom is picked up by human, feel more human touch. They helped me with my MeiTuan order as I did not have local mobile. And the best part, check on the surprise picture below. Lovely staffs and I’d definitely come back again 🙂

Superb hotel, clean, must learn the area and it is very convenient. There is a mall opposite too, we didn't know until we went to the mall. Will come back. Service staff very professional and super efficient.

Cleanliness and location are good. There is one shopping mall opposite with supermarket and some restaurants. Walking distance to Yu Garden, and chauffeur is provided to several places as well. Breakfast can be purchased at the front desk during check-in but they required individual mobile no. even for the kids. Supper was included as well. The aunty that cooking noodles in the restaurant was impolite. Please confirm the breakfast timing as we were told daily from 6.30am to 10.30am but one of the day we went to restaurant at 10am and were told the breakfast was ending.
