The room had an excellent design. The lobby was spacious and beautiful, the corridors were a good size with clear signage, and the room itself was just right. The bathroom was convenient and bright, and the small sofa by the bed was very practical. A wonderful experience!

First time here, but the front desk didn't seem to hear me. I asked if check-in was at 2 PM and she didn't reply? I seriously wondered if I was invisible. Later, I called the front desk through Ctrip, and the receptionist on the phone said I could come to the front desk. I ended up checking in before 2 PM. My first room was 531, which was just okay. The next day, I extended my stay at the front desk and switched to room 307, which was on a lower floor and faced a different direction. The second room was much better. I lost my room key twice and had to pay 20 RMB for each replacement, which was a bit annoying. 😖

This hotel offers great value for money. For less than 300, you get a clean and tidy room in Xuhui District, plus free parking. There's a KFC next door, a Starbucks across the street, and a mall nearby, making dining very convenient.

It says 'no smoking,' but as soon as I walked in, there was a strong smell of smoke. Even with the air purifier on all night, my hair still smelled like smoke the next morning. My husband stayed one night and his rhinitis flared up the next day! We had booked two nights, but as soon as I entered the room, I decided to cancel the second night immediately. If my husband hadn't said, 'Let's just deal with tonight since we've already checked in,' I honestly would have grabbed our luggage and left! All night long, the guy next door snored so loudly it sounded like he was right next to me. 🙂 From about 6 AM the next morning, there was no peace and quiet. Sounds of chairs being dragged around, kids being disciplined – I guess the hotel can't control guests' actions. Why did I rate service a 2? Because the noise also came from the staff. Starting at 7 AM, the cleaning ladies were chatting loudly across several rooms. 🙂 Are you two performing a duet? There was no way to sleep in the room; it was just too noisy. I initially thought it was really cheap and worried about potential issues, but then thought, 'It's a Holiday Inn Express, so it should be fine'... but it turned out to be a complete disaster. 🙂 Blacklisting all IHG hotels... Look at the Marriott next door; even their lower-tier brands wouldn't manage a hotel this way. Speechless.

This was the worst Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at; everything about the experience was bad! Even the breakfast was just too, too average. It didn't feel like a real Holiday Inn.

The water in my residential area was shut off, so I booked a last-minute room here. I was given a room on the first floor near the laundry room, which felt quite damp and had a strange smell. It wasn't as good as my previous stay on an upper floor. However, the price was cheap, and it was excellent value for money.

The front desk staff were very warm, polite, and thoughtful. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and spacious, and the location was very quiet. It's also conveniently located right next to KFC and Starbucks. I'll definitely come back again.
