Lucky Hotel（Shanghai People's Square Metro Station Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street Hotel）

Service: I had a bit too much to drink the night I checked in, and my head was still a bit fuzzy the next morning. I was in a rush to get to an exhibition and ended up leaving my watch in the room. I immediately contacted the hotel, and the staff were incredibly patient and helpful in dealing with the issue. They even assisted the housekeeping auntie in searching for my watch. Their service attitude was truly excellent. Location: The hotel's location is fantastic, right on Huanghe Road Food Street near People's Square. It's only about a 200-meter walk from the subway exit, which is super convenient. Cleanliness: The hotel was newly renovated in 2024, so all the facilities and amenities are brand new. The room was spotlessly clean, with no strange odors at all. It felt much better than your average chain hotel. Wifi: The Wi-Fi speed was a bit slow, possibly because my room was in an inner corner. Room Size: The room size was great. For a new hotel in the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street area, a price under 300 RMB is really hard to find. Soundproofing: Since I had quite a bit to drink that night, I didn't hear any noise, so I'd say the soundproofing was decent. Overall, it's very good and I recommend it.

The hotel is about 300 meters from People's Square metro station, a 4-5 minute walk. The western end of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street starts at New World City, right next to People's Square metro station. It's also quite close to The Bund and Yu Garden. The entire hotel was renovated in 2024, so all the facilities are quite new. Service: Excellent! The staff greets you whenever you enter or leave the lobby, and if you need more toiletries, they're replenished quickly. Cleanliness: Pretty good. The sheets and pillows were clean, and there were no strange smells in the room or bathroom. Room Facilities: Quite comprehensive. The mattress was neither too soft nor too hard, very comfortable to sleep on. Value for money: I booked it for around 280 RMB, which I felt was pretty good. It offers much better value than some other chain hotels nearby. P.S.: The Jia Jia Tang Bao and Yipin Urchin Dumplings near the hotel are excellent and worth trying.
