Yueqi Hotel (Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Zoo Subway Station) Reviews

I checked in late and then went to the upstairs toilet — it was very, very dirty. There weren’t enough bins for garbage, and the floor was filthy. There’s an AC unit in the room, but for some reason, in the dormitory, it couldn't be turned on. I was also looking for a washing machine, but there wasn't one. So, the pictures you see of this hostel are not exactly what you get. In the photos, everything looks nice, but the reality is different.

Cheap, clean and easy to get to from the metro. Stayed here before an early flight from T1 and got there in 20mins. Convenient.

It turns out that many locals are staying here long-term to save on rent. Dorms can be super crowded and smelly. Service is minimum and amenities are below average. The front desk did do me a favor and switched me to a different room when I requested.

The accommodation is near the subway station "Shanghai Zoo". So if you have a late or early flight from Hongqiao Airport, I recommend you to stay in this area. The location is good, but all the reception staffs cannot speak English, so it was so stressful. They cannot understand even basic English words. The dormitory is a little bit smelly, and so small. The air conditioner didn't work. small towel costs 10 Yuen. Shower room is good, hot water is good.

This hostel seems to have locals who reside here for a longer time. My experience was that some of them do not have civic mindedness and play sound on their phone speakers even late at night at 2am. Stay here only if you have an early flight or spend more to get a better sleep elsewhere.

Typical youth hostel, ideal for nights before early departures from nearby Hongqiao Airport/Railway Station.

The staff were very kind, and I felt comfortable during my stay. However, I noticed dust accumulating under the bed, so I think cleaning is necessary. The hostel has a terrace, which gives it a wonderful sense of openness.

Check-in was very slow. The whole hostel and its facilities are very used. The room was really tiny with some broken equipment. I had to ask extra for at least a tiny towel. No amenities. Quite dirty bathrooms.

Close to the airport, and affordable. The room was compact though, couldn't even store my day bag anywhere. The big bag was stored on the ground floor which made the absence of an elevator bearable, but still noteworthy.

The room was so clean and I slept really well. The bed and blanket were so soft. The location is good too. It is nearby Shanghai Zoo station.
