Anruo TRIPPER Homestay (Xijie Zhonglou)

The front desk staff were very friendly. Our stay was very comfortable, with a quiet room and a very convenient roadside location.

The room was stylishly decorated with an artistic flair and was spotlessly clean. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, especially the silk duvet cover, which was so soft and smooth that I slept like a baby all night. The air conditioning was fantastic; the room stayed cool and comfortable even without having to run it at night. The lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and friendly, providing us with detailed recommendations for exploring the area. Highly recommend!

The host's attitude and service were absolutely wonderful! We were initially a bit concerned about evening safety, but the host instantly put our minds at ease upon our arrival at the main entrance. The property also boasts a superb location, with West Street, a foodie's paradise, right nearby! We had read some reviews mentioning mold on the wood and were initially worried, but our room was excellent and the environment was very pleasant. (Perhaps that's just typical for this humid southern region!) We slept very comfortably, and the bed was wonderfully soft. Any minor issues certainly didn't detract from our overall positive experience!

I booked online well in advance, but arrived quite late. They told me there was only one room left, and it definitely felt like a room nobody else wanted; the environment was truly awful. The complimentary toiletries were subpar as well. And facing my window was a small, dingy window that was completely dark. In the end, I suppose I only have myself to blame for trying to save a buck. But seriously, even for just a little over 100 RMB, the quality shouldn't be *this* poor. 😭😭😭

The value for money is good given the facilities. It's located right opposite a park, and while it's slightly away from the main tourist crowds, it was surprisingly quiet despite being street-facing. My only minor complaint was being disturbed by dogs barking at night, but this is certainly not the establishment's fault, so I'm not deducting any points for that.

The room design was lovely; I particularly enjoyed the natural wood aesthetic. It was spotless and smelled fresh. Absolutely wonderful!
