"Our stay here was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless and very comfortable, giving us great peace of mind. It was also wonderfully quiet, as there weren't many guests. The beer-braised fish at the downstairs restaurant was incredibly fresh and flavorful – absolutely delicious! The guesthouse even has its own little bar, serving up tasty cocktails in a lovely atmosphere. And the small courtyard with its beautiful scenery shows how much thought and care went into everything. Overall, the experience was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!"

"Seriously, who knew a hotel in Yangshuo could feel like stepping into a traditional Chinese landscape painting? ✨ This is the Rice Paddy Resort, right by the Yulong River and surrounded by rice fields. We had 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, offering incredible views of green mountains and swaying rice paddies right from our bed. The infinity pool and 'sky mirror' feature are amazing for photos – every shot looks like it's straight out of a magazine! The Japanese-inspired wooden decor creates such a calming and comfortable atmosphere. Plus, the butler service was incredibly thoughtful, and the breakfast and afternoon tea were fantastic. This is definitely the perfect way to experience a vacation in Yangshuo! ✅"

"After browsing dozens of guesthouses on the platform, we finally settled on ShanShui BieYuan Guesthouse. I read a lot of reviews before making a decision, and while there were good and bad ones, I can confirm it's truly worth it! Our family trip found this place to be excellent value for money. There's so much for kids to do: they can try 'Touhu' (pitch-pot game), make lacquer fans – my child was so proud of their handmade fan! The calligraphy experience, writing blessings, was also a nice touch. They also offer Hanfu, Qipao, and Guangxi Zhuang ethnic costume experiences. The room size was just right for us, feeling very cozy and welcoming. It was spotlessly clean, every corner was immaculate, and the attention to detail truly showed they care for their guests. From the front desk manager to the auntie who cooks breakfast, everyone was incredibly warm and friendly, always greeting us and asking how we were. The courtyard is super photogenic, and there's a small boat you can paddle. You can spend a whole day just feeding and catching fish in the courtyard. We relaxed on the tea table on the second floor, letting the kids play freely – it was so relaxing! Just sipping tea and reading a book made for a perfect holiday. The day we checked in, there was even a teacher hired to teach many foreigners traditional Chinese crafts, which was very cool and authentic. Both older guests like us and the foreigners really enjoyed the traditional Chinese style. The hotel has a very large parking lot, complete with charging stations. Next to the parking lot is a lawn where you can play, swing on a swing, or even camp. It's super convenient for sightseeing: a 15-minute drive to Qian Gu Qing Scenic Area and the Liu Sanjie performance theater, and only 20 minutes to Ruyi Peak Scenic Area and Silver Rock Cave. Didi (ride-hailing) cars are readily available and pick you up right at the entrance. The hotel is also just 170 meters from the Qing'e Ferry Pier rafting point. Electric bikes are available for rent at the hotel entrance – 30 yuan a day in low season, 50 yuan for half a day in high season. Renting one lets you cycle to the Ten-Mile Gallery and Yulong River Scenic Area in just 5 minutes. The Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were delicious and chewy, very clean and hygienic – I had two bowls! They also had dumplings, congee, corn, sweet potatoes, soy milk, steamed buns, and some pickled vegetables. I was incredibly satisfied and full! We'll definitely come back next time; my child had such a memorable time they didn't want to leave. "The hardware is top-notch. The hotel hasn't been open long, so everything is brand new. It's equipped with Tmall Genie for smart control and smart toilets, really emphasizing the high-tech aspect. The front desk lady even upgraded me to a larger suite for free, which had a huge bathtub – though I didn't get to use it. The screen-mirroring TV felt just like being in a movie theater. The staff's service attitude was absolutely outstanding. Because the parking lot is a bit of a distance from the hotel, when I went to Xiangong Mountain to watch the sunrise at 4:30 AM, a young man from the front desk personally took me to my car. Later, when I went rafting, the front desk staff used a shuttle cart to pick me up and drop me off. What's more, all the staff – from the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping – would greet me with a ”hello” or ”good morning” whenever we met, which was very polite and a rare find in China, earning a big thumbs up. Other hotel staff should really take a leaf out of From Time Slow's book. Overall, I was very satisfied. The breakfast was also rich, clean, hygienic, and offered a wide variety of choices. The value for money at From Time Slow is truly exceptional!"

"Came here specifically for the Instagram-worthy white pool, and it truly is beautiful and great for photos! If you're bringing kids, I recommend the family castle room; my little one absolutely loved it! The room decor is super cozy, and a bath in the room at night was so relaxing. There's even a slide inside, so the kids can play while I enjoy afternoon tea. It's conveniently located near West Street and the Yulong River. In the evening, they thoughtfully prepared a self-service selection of bedtime desserts and mung bean porridge – perfect for families with kids like us! Oh, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the Guilin rice noodles – absolutely amazing!"

"This place is more like a resort than a hotel! There's so many amenities and have absolutely stunning views right outside of your window. The location of this hotel is closer to nature so you won't feel like you're in a touristy area at all but more like you're staying at a quit retreat in nature where you can enjoy the true beauty of Yangshuo. If you're someone who likes to take pictures, they have flower gardens full of butterflies and mountain top coffee shops that directly faces the mountains. Not to mention they also have a photography studio inside of their hotel who takes amazing photos. They also have infinity pools that hotsprings that overlooks the mountains that are available to guests all day. The breakfast they offer is fantastic as well. I didn't even need to leave the hotel to taste authentic yangshuo specialties. They got them all within the hotel. I suggest staying here at least 3+ days. My stay was too short!"

"Had a wonderful stay! The large windows offered a breathtaking mountain view, which was truly delightful. The room was spacious and the facilities were excellent. We also enjoyed spending time on the rooftop terrace, soaking in the twilight and having some drinks – it was incredibly relaxing. For dining, we had to travel a short distance, but renting an e-bike from a local was easy, and we were there in no time. Cycling around the Ten-Mile Gallery was also a very pleasant experience. What exceeded my expectations was the hotel offering free traditional ethnic clothing for guests to borrow, perfect for taking photos if you want to try it out with your girlfriends! The hotel staff were also very friendly and always available to answer any questions. Overall, it was a fantastic hotel experience! Thank you."

"Right here in Yangshuo! I didn't want to check out, it was so good 😭 This hotel really understands what women want! The Cotton Castle Hotel truly left me speechless with its beauty. It felt like sinking into soft clouds, so gentle and soothing. The room had a separate wet and dry area, and all the facilities were well-equipped. There was even a thoughtful voice assistant, making check-in super easy. It also came with a huge bathtub, and soaking in it while enjoying the view was incredibly comfortable. With big floor-to-ceiling windows, I woke up feeling like I'd stepped into a fairyland. Being surrounded by green mountains and lush scenery as I woke up filled me with pure happiness. And it's absolutely perfect for photos! The whole place has a pure white, Instagrammable vibe, like cotton candy bubbles. There's also a carousel at the entrance, which kids absolutely love. The super dreamy cave pool is amazing for snapping some fantastic shots. The location is really convenient too. It's very close to the Impression Sanjie Liu show and West Street. Getting there by electric scooter takes only 3-5 minutes, making it super easy to get around. 📍 Yangshuo Cotton Castle Hotel If you're visiting Yangshuo, staying here is all you need!"

"The hotel is located in the mountains, and the upside is that opening the window to a mountain view is very healing. However, the downside is that transportation is quite inconvenient. It's about 3 kilometers to town for meals, and you either have to take a taxi or rent an electric scooter for 30 yuan a day. The breakfast at this price point was the worst I've ever had – pitifully few options, not even any meat... The sliced bread didn't even come with butter... And the coffee was terrible (they claimed to offer various coffees all day, but in the afternoon there was no milk, so essentially only Americano was available 😅). It's worse than an economy hotel like Home Inn, what a mess! 😓 The butler service via WeChat was decent, but the housekeeping... On the first day, they completely missed cleaning the room, even though we had requested it. What's even crazier is that I saw staff enter the room before we left, and it turned out to be maintenance changing a socket (why wasn't this done before check-in, and without any heads-up? 😅)."
