The food at Thai Restaurant is normal (nothing special). The salad bar at the morning buffet is good. I think the location is good. The parking lot is far…. You might have to walk 5 minutes back to the front entrance if the parking spots at the front are taken (usually are and we went during low season). Overall, this hotel offers its services and products like a 4 star hotel rather than “5 stars”."

"Taiwan is very populous in the larger cities like Taipei and Taichung. If you want a quiet getaway this is the place to go. I would recommend renting a car, however, because the bus system is much slower in southern Taiwan. But, driving would be easy without the excessive scooters, pedestrians like further north. We stayed at 3 other hotels during our 2 weeks. Breakfast here was comparable, superior when you consider relative pricing, inferior when you consider business hotels like the Crowne in Tainan. Hot pot for dinner was very good."

"Pool was littered with debris from the strong winds. The water quality was good, but the pool staff could have done a better job at hauling out the debris at the deep end of the pool. The jacuzzi was a disappointment. The presence of greenish/yellowish algae in the water made the jacuzzi uninviting. The heater was turned off and will not be turned on until the third week of November. I was there during the last week of October. Every resort I stayed at had the jacuzzi heated despite the time of the year or the ambient air temperature. If it is the position of the management to not clean or heat the jacuzzi, then the jacuzzi should be covered up and blocked off. The breakfast buffet was horrible considering how much money they charged. I probably will not stay or recommend this hotel. It’s has a lot of potential!"
