Our stay at the Holiday Inn Baku was very comfortable. The Staff was warm and helpful. The Location is excellent. The Breakfast was sumptuous and the timings relaxed. One member of the Staff at breakfast took it on himself to remind us to come early, everyday. On a lighter note ! No complaints, we were always served well. The Rooms are large and well appointed, it was important for us as it was an 8 days stay. I would strongly recommend this Hotel for Stay in Baku.

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. Shown in photos. Also the bathr

The service is really good. A Chinese-speaking girl was arranged to greet us when we checked in. The service staff in the restaurant and reception were very nice. However, the facilities and rooms are indeed a little worse than other Ritz-Carlton hotels. Overall, it's 4 stars.

We extended our stay here because the room was so cosy. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel that opens late into the night. It s also very easy to call for a Bolt in this area as opposed to the old city area where there is always jam. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would like to recommend this hotel to anyone that is exploring Baku.

When I checked in I was told the door is broken so I could not open it with the electronic key and they'll open it, but it's gonna be fixed the next day. Of course it was never fixed and I had to ask the staff to open it for me every time. Felt REALLY awkward. Then some day some random woman (she was working here I believe) just opened my door and walked in while I was in my room at midnight, saw me, said sorry and run away. What was that I have no idea, but it kinda gives you an idea about their take on privacy. The TV was not working, because the cable was literally torn apart, the WiFi broke down several times and one time it was more than 24 hours. The showerhead was broken, the water from the shower never went the way it supposed to, but straight to the floor, the toilet was not really attached to the floor (thankfully it was attached to communications). With that being said, I still think the hotel is okay for the price, the room was nice, big and clean and had a personal balcony and the staff were really friendly.

GGuest UserStayed at the hotel for one night. Cozy room, polite staff. The room has excellent WiFi, tea/coffee available, and water bottles. Since we were leaving early in the morning, the staff brought us Turkish style breakfast in the evening. Everything was fresh and tasty! The seaside boulevard is a 25-minute walk. We liked! I recommend the hotel!

NNixNaxPros :
- Good location. Not too far from city centre/ town area/ nice restaurants.
- Customer service was on par. The staff always greeted with a smile and provided help when needed.
- Relatively clean room and environment.
- Near a park with exercising equipment.
Cons:
- Breakfast was decent and was freshly prepared. However, it was a bit disappointing that they had the same layout and dishes throughout our 5-day stay. It would have been nice to see more breakfast options.
GGuest UserPerfect place if you are looking for a peaceful stay far from Baku city. This place is around 30 mins from Baku City Center and 10 mins from the Airport. We had arranged transportation in Baku, so commute to and from the hotel was not a problem. The hotel does arrange taxi for you if you request, but its recommended to use Bolt app to get around Baku by taxi. At the time of check in, the hotel reception asked us for our vaccination certificates, which was the only place that asked to see our vaccination status during our entire trip to Azerbaijan. Rooms are spacious and had a balcony. The rooms facing to the back of the hotel have amazing views of the golf course. Each room is allocated for 2 guests, so additional guest have to pay 10 manat per night and another 10 manat for an additional bed. The room has an expandable sofa, which can also double as a bed for the extra guest. We found the room AC, WiFi and shower facilities to be good. The rooms had no mini bar, but there is a common mini bar in the lobby next to the reception. The hotel seemed lavish in providing sanitary kits. It was also interesting that each room had a Lavazza coffee machine, but only 2 capsules were complementary. Dreamland Hotel did not have a swimming pool which was disappointing for the kids. Hotel guests can enjoy 1 hour free golf session at the Golf Academy located behind the hotel. We were a bunch of amateurs, but we still had fun taking turns swinging and missing, ball after ball. The hotel is located inside Baku Golf City, which is a massive area with golf greens, water bodies, lot of villas and apartment complexes. The hotel is around 1 km from the Dreamland Golf City main gate and once inside you could easily get lost. It would have been really nice if the hotel provided guests with free / rented bikes to get around the golf city. The golf city seemed to be well maintained and has good recreational facilities which included bike tracks, kids play area and fountains. There is also a Bazarstore mini supermarket (Open from 9am to 8:30pm) and ATM in front of the hotel. Breakfast is from 8am to 12 noon at the panorama restaurant on the ground floor. The free breakfast included with the room was a standard breakfast (no buffet) which includes an egg of your choice, bread basket and a plate with few veggies, fruits and some condiments. Our kids did not like the breakfast, so we had to order pancakes which costed around 7 ₼/plate. The breakfast selection was disappointing and that's where I drop a star for Dreamland Golf Hotel, it was so uninspiring that for the remaining days of our stay here, we had to search for alternative breakfast options. They could definitely improve their breakfast, because the same restaurant did serve some amazing food when we went there for dinner.
AAmitbhai777Please read carefully. I stayed this hotel for 4 nights, first impression was good. Room was clean and big. Brakefast also quite good. I enjoyed my stay 2 nights but after that my trip has been collapsed. I was trapped by hotel staff. I wanted to change my currency that i had US dollars that time. And outside there is no restaurant and other facility so i have decided to change my currency from hotel as hotel staff suggested me but i got high rate on exchage money. That was no problem because I needed money. Reception area people saw how much money i have and after that they made plan to trap me. One guy came to me and his name is Ibrahim. Working as a front desk manager. He said, if you want tour guide then i can be yours. I really wanted to local person for my travel in baku because hotel is far from the majot activity. At night 9 o’clock when he finished his shift, he took me to nizam street at one nightclub. We had 2 beer and 3 glass of whisky for the 3 girls, girls was setting on our table. We enjoyed that 1 hr. Then bill came and i was shocked. Bill amount was 370 manat. That was horrible. It’s around 220 US dollar. I went to bill counter area and asked about bill. They started to argue with me. I said i ordered only 2 beer and 3 whisky glass means bill around 30 manat as menu card shown. After 2 boxers came to club and they started to argue with me and forcefully tried to tell me pay thr bill. I was scared so i paid 200 US dollar. After i came to out with hotel staff ( Ibrahim ) girl came to me and said , you have paid huge amount and its included with my charge, just go to your hotel room and i will stay till morning. I said , okay. I took her with me outside the hotel area. We were 4 people time time. I , ibrahim , that nightclub girl and taxi driver. Driver asked me 50 manat from nightclub to my hotel. Usually its takes only 3 manat. Hotel receptionist said , its not taxi , its a club car. I said okay and i paid 50 manat also. But after that i realised that i was trapped. I told that girl please go back i really don’t want to go with you in my room. As you asked 30 manat that money i am giving you but please go. But she never go, she started argue and said , i will not go otherwise i will call the police and yes my security guard means that taxi driver will stay here till im in your room. I was collapsed. Hotel receptionist doesn’t say anything. He just stand like a statue.I said to her, okay sleep in to my room and i will spend my time on reception area but for that she is not ready. She always telling me i will call the police. I said okay lets go and i took her into my room. When she arrived in my room she asked 200 dollar. Omg i was trapped. She said , police will come soon if you not ready to give. I was finished. I gave her 200 dollar but she want more and more. I said , I don’t have money now. She took my power charger also. After many fail attempt i request her please go. Then she went. I lost my 400 dollar and 50 manat.
GGuest UserThere is a construction site in the hotel now, so if cleanliness and quiet are important, it is better not to stay here, the location is good, 10 minutes walk to the train station and metro. The Heydar Aliyev Museum (a must-see) is 10 minutes walk away. By metro, 2 metro stops to the old city. The embankment is about 30-40 minutes walk away, the road to the sea is comfortable. The rooms are different - there are small and large rooms. The plumbing is old. The room is ok, but there are construction materials in the corridors. The price is great, especially for singles.
GGuest UserMy stay at the Bristol Hotel from 1st Sept to 5th Sept 2023, room No 103, in Baku was an absolute nightmare that stretched over four agonizing nights. Despite its touted central location, this ancient relic of a place doesn't even come close to resembling the ”hotel” it's advertised as online. It's more like a dingy rental hostel with delusions of grandeur. Let's talk about breakfast – a lackluster, uninspired routine that required us to play a waiting game at their absurdly inconvenient hours. And don't even get me started on the absence of room service or the complete absence of drinking water. It's as if they're actively trying to make your stay as miserable as possible. The rooms are laughably non-soundproof, and the pitiful window curtains do nothing to shield you from the relentless onslaught of intrusive light, especially with a blaring nightclub next door. The fact that management couldn't care less about replacing those curtains is infuriating. But wait, there's more! The bathroom lock decided to throw a wrench into my already dreadful experience. I found myself trapped inside the bathroom, envisioning a nightmarish scenario where my partner wasn't in the room to rescue me. Can you imagine being stuck in there for hours, or even days? In all seriousness, I implore you, in the strongest terms possible, to steer clear of this establishment. It's an absolute travesty, and you deserve far better for your stay.
MMilena KaI was there in September 2024 for 2 nights. The hotel is located right in the station building from which buses depart. Very convenient location. The metro is nearby. On the first floor of the station building there is a store and in general the building itself is a shopping center. The hotel itself is cozy. The hotel has recently been renovated. The rooms do not smell. The water in the shower goes well. Friendly staff. I would stay again. I recommend this hotel.
