"Pakse is a bit of a one horse town and there is very little there for tourists. I expect the hotel was amazing in its heyday but it has not been maintained and is expensive for a run down hotel in need of renovation. Soft furnishings were ripped and the room and bathroom were poor. it could have been so nice."

The fact that Ngoc actually thought with me and arranged my travel plans made everything so much easier. Thank you so much for everything. "The staff was tremendously friendly and welcoming. It is a little more expensive than some of the other places in Pakse, but the quality far exceeds the price of a night. I stayed for three nights, and I will be back again. The wooden accents and friendly smiles make the place warm and inviting. The pool is a nice place to spend an afternoon, and the porches overlooking the pool are great for reading a book or just takin it easy. One of the managers, Ying, and the rest of the staff are incredibly helpful and give good advice on things to do around town. Breakfast is good, and I have a weird diet. They were very accommodating. The restaurant out back is open later than most other places in the city, and the food and service is good, too."

We wanted to have dinner, but did not know we had to book it, as the place is more a guesthouse than a traditional hotel.
