"Very nice little hotel on the outskirts of Obidos. 12 minutes to the center at a leisurely pace. The rooms are a bit dated, but quite acceptable for one night. The hotel has a very interesting interior. There is a cozy courtyard with a view of the countryside (in the mornings you can hear roosters in the distance). Good breakfast, but nothing fancy. Right opposite the hotel you can see an ancient aqueduct."

"This hotel meets all my expectations for an old European hotel: Needless to say, the house is a very historical building, every piece of furniture is from the 18th century, and the decorative objects are very antique, which has a strong sense of nostalgia for me. People are undoubtedly attractive. The breakfast was full of ceremony, the quality of the food was fresh and delicious, and I was very satisfied. The staff were all elegant, generous, warm and thoughtful. Needless to say, the hotel environment is exquisite and beautiful. The swimming pool brings us a lot of happiness and leisure. Of course, this kind of ancient hotel cannot satisfy everything because the rooms are not large. For example, there is no coffee and tea for self-service at any time, etc., but I feel very lucky to be able to stay in the Medieval Festival of the town. The guests here are also very elegant, tasteful and extremely pleasant! Hope to come here again in the future."

Yet, you are close to the center within 15 minutes of walk. the breakfast was really good and a nice way to interact with other guests. I wish there was a kettle in the room. And the bathroom had a musty smell. Overall, I would recommend this hotel."

"This was our first trip to this resort. We stayed in a villa near the Club house. The resort in general is dated and depressing. Our villa was awful, not at all in keeping with the pictures that were advertised on their official webpage. The worst part was the huge volumes of flies INSIDE the villa. Flies were landing on top of you in every room. To quote my 10 year old son " Mum the flies are constantly landing on me and mating ". They were everywhere. They were on every item in the kitchen and bathroom and living room such that we had to lock everything away. Cooking food was a nightmare and eating it was worse. It was so bad we had to check in to the Marriott hotel after 4 days ( thank God we could afford to ). When we complained we were told that there was a KNOWN fly issue and the local council were involved however we were not made aware of any of this at booking or arrival and there were no fly deterrents in the villa - not even a spray. The villa was in general very old, dated and the kitchen appliances were not robust and the oven was missing buttons. We had paid the full amount at check in for 10 days and after complaining and having left the property we received one night's refund. The reception staff were rude, insolent and inexperienced. I hope no other family would have to endure this awful experience. BEWARE!!!!"

"The hotel is well located in the center of the walled city of Óbidos. However, to get there, you have to pull your bags from the parking lot. Choose the paid one that is much closer. You will still have to climb stairs, both in the city and in the hotel, to find the tiny room that doesn't fit 2 people with their respective suitcases. Everything is done remotely, as you will only see a human being at a good breakfast. The hotel does not offer space to store your bags if you arrive before check-in time or leave after check-out."

"This was the most amazing Airbnb I’ve ever been in. The pictures don’t do this place just it is amazing. You can tell the host and his wife put a lot of love and effort into this place. Our host actually met us at the door as we were a little lost. He brought us and showed us around and even gave us a welcoming drink. We were so impressed with the place. We were planning on moving on to Porto and decided to stay an extra day and stay at the Airbnb. I can’t say enough about the place and the hospitality. It was just amazing. I will definitely come back."

"The front desk was kind, but the facilities were very poor. There were no amenities other than bath towels and bathrobes, the shower was practically nonexistent, and there were no comforters on the beds. The elevator was also not working, so it was very difficult for tourists to carry suitcases up the spiral staircase. The air conditioner was on the floor, and after about 4 hours the drainage was flooded...I was surprised when I woke up in the morning to find the area around the bed flooded. The biggest problem was the breakfast, which only had water, orange juice, a few types of bread, three kinds of fruit (not cut), yogurt, one type of cheese, and two or three types of ham. The bread could be heated, but the rest was basically cold. There was a coffee server and cereal. There were delicious restaurants around, so it would be better not to include breakfast. Incidentally, this can be said for the whole town of Obidos, but the signal is poor (even with 3G), so there are many times when cards such as City Tax cannot be used, so it is safer to have cash. It's right in the middle of Obidos and the hotel staff are very friendly, so I think it could be more popular if the facilities were better...I want to support it, so I hope they make improvements."

"The hotel is located next to the Castle of Obidos, just a few minutes' walk from the medieval castle and monastery. The hotel has free indoor parking. The overall hotel layout is full of medieval style, with a wood-burning fireplace, bows and shields hanging on the wall, swords and foreign rifles with bayonets placed on the ground. The room is clean and comfortable, the service staff is friendly and you will feel at home. The disadvantages are that the water pressure is too low, the faucets and water valves are very old, and it is not very comfortable to bathe."
