Corran House Guest House ★★
"It's a nice room."
The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Perfect location and very helpful staff ."
The Pier Rooms ★★
The Great Western Hotel ★★★
"Convenient location with lovely views. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. We had a family room with a sea view consisting of a double and single bed. It was a very large room and had a sofa, coffee table and TV as well as tea and coffee making facilities tThe staff were great but the hotel decor was a little tired. Parking is limited and cannot be booked in advance. It would be better if disabled drivers could pre-book parking. Parking is £10 a night unless you have a blue badge. There is only one disabled parking space and at the time we visited, some parking spaces were impacted by building works which made it awkward driving in and also took up several spaces. I would stay there again and recommend."
Oban Bay Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel was ideally located and featured a modern, stylish interior. The only drawback was the breakfast offering, we would have preferred a buffet option for greater variety and convenience."
Don Muir Guesthouse ★★★
"Nicely presented guesthouse. Though it says no food the proprietor Caroline, kindly left some goodies and breakfast Muesli and flakes in the room which was a nice touch. 😁😁"
Muthu Oban Regent Hotel ★★★
"Booked this place last minute but it was pretty much perfect for what we needed location was good and staff were friendly"
The Kelvin Hotel ★
"The worst service don’t think they know the meaning of customer service. Terrible hospitality wouldn’t ever stay again so many better places with kind hosts. Really unprofessional"
Glencruitten House ★★★★
"Wowee! Best Afternoon Tea ever. Far from traditional and so full of taste. From open steak sandwiches to light-as-a-feather yam sponge cake. And a fantastic selection of teas from English Breakfast to Piña Colada. All presented in an enchanted forest tearoom setting with impeccable service. Highly recommended."

Isle of Eriska Hotel Spa & Island
"Environment ➕ Castle, awesome!"
Corriemar House
"Room No 4 is a good room with a fair view of the sea. However despite leaving a "Please make up the room" sign in the morning, the room was not serviced. So no breakfast (which is only a porridge in a pot!), nor clean towels etc. Very disappointing! We advised a lady, mother of the owner, about a broken window lock and the very slow shower drain. The broken window lock was repaired, but nothing else. We think that £178 per night for 2 nights was excessive bearing in mind the lack of service."
Lochaline Hotel
Melfort House
"Melfort House is set in beautiful, well-maintained gardens with superb views from the rooms towards Melfort Bay. The house is full of interesting old maps and paintings. Our bedroom was large, clean and very comfortable. A nice touch was the provision of a noggin of whisky for a bedtime dram - a Scottish hospitality tradition. Breakfast was excellent; the scrambled eggs were done to perfection. A bonus of visiting in May was that the rhodendrons were at their best."
The Ranald Hotel
"Nice little hotel in a central location. Good breakfast and service as well from reception to the breakfast. The room is also very quiet on the top floor. Only drawback is there is no lift, but not a problem for us. Parking in the street, you can use mobile phone to pay for it."
The Scot
"Good location. Friendly staff. Traffic noises was be loud since our room windows are facing the main road. Noise proofing recommended."
The Old Cottage
"We were met by Darren & Karen who were both very welcoming helping us in and explaining the cottage facilities and the surrounding area, they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived The room was immaculate, the bed was super comfy, bathroom had a lovely powerful shower with all shampoo and shower gel supplied We placed our order for breakfast when we arrived and we got to pick our preferred time The breakfast did not disappoint, it was cooked to perfection with all Scottish ingredients and a vast selection to choose from Would definitely return one of the best places we have stayed so far"
Knipoch House Hotel
No17 the Promenade
"Great hotel, great location and lovely staff."
Ardtorna
"Optimal"
Dalrigh House
"A nicely maintained property with good views and accessibility to the town centre with its stunning views across the bay and surrounding areas."
Falls of Lora Hotel
"Booked in at short notice to stay in what I think was one of the cheapest room in the hotel. But dont let that put you off. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Food was freshly cooked, and staff were friendly. I would stay again if I was in the area."
Palace Hotel - Small Hotel
"This place is appalling and a safety risk. Corridors littered with junk and boxes of goodness knows what , threadbare carpets, holes in the ceiling’ wallpaper hanging off and that’s just for starters. 10 flights of stairs to a family room because the owner gave ours to another customer and no we weren’t late. Directly outside our room was an ancient hoover, a folding bed, and a box. Radiator mounted half way up a wall alongside the TV complete with an aerial??? Electrics were quite suspect and the bathroom also had safety issues and hadn’t seen a duster in many a year. Linen was old and worn. The “new windows” had cable ties to stop them being opened too far??? Beds were old and uncomfortable. No fire regulations were visible in the room and we could not locate a fire exit. How on earth this establishment passed any fire regulations beats me. We only stayed for 3/4 of a night as we were on an early ferry so it was pointless to try and find somewhere else. The signs saying they were undergoing a refurbishment were probably printed in the 70’s as there were no signs of any ongoing improvements at all. Do not stay here is our advice"
Oban Youth Hostel
"Yes, I returned to Oban Youth Hostel after 70yrs and had an excellent experience, nice accommodation, beautiful sunny weather. Clean kitchen, not too busy, quite time of the year...but right on the Seafront close to the town centre. Travelled on the boat to Craignure before booking into the Youth Hostel..beautiful sunny day, Had a drink from the reception and sat out enjoying the sun...watching the boats come and go. Saturday morning I again travelled on the boat to Craignure another bright and sunny day, then I caught the bus back to Glasgow"
