Mountain view Hotels in Koh Lanta

It was a beautiful experience — the entire resort was surrounded by nature. The staff were incredibly helpful and very kid-friendly. My children loved playing with the toys, and the infinity pool was absolutely stunning. There’s also a lovely treehouse overlooking the valley, complete with bean bags for relaxing. The food was fantastic too! Very close to the beach just 5 minutes walk and the staff arranged different tours with discounted rates.

Upon arrival at Lanta Triple Novel, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. His hospitality truly made us feel at home, assisting us with everything we needed. We stayed in the bungalows, which were spacious and well-equipped. There was a clothes drying rack inside and another on the porch—this was the first hotel where we had ample space to dry our clothes. The porch was furnished with plastic chairs and a table, perfect for relaxing outdoors. The bungalow featured a small kitchenette accessible from the porch through a side door, which is convenient if you're planning a longer stay. Inside, there was a small plastic wardrobe for storing clothes and a mini-fridge. The only thing missing was a table and two chairs inside the room, which would have added to the comfort. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room cool. The location was very quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. The only minor inconvenience was during heavy rain when the metal roof became quite loud. We rented a scooter from the owner at a decent price, making it easy to explore the island. Although there's a restaurant as part of the hotel, we didn't have the time to dine there. Originally, we planned to stay for three days but ended up extending our stay to four because we enjoyed it so much. The location is perfect—it's close to the beach, and there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner where you can get everything you need for your stay. It's a 4-minute drive to Saladan Pier, so you'll have an easy time catching ferries or speedboats for further travel. Overall, our experience at Lanta Triple Novel was excellent. The friendly owner, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made our stay memorable. Loved this place so much and in my opinion it’s the best option on the island (there are only maybe 15-20 hotels and most of them are a bit drabby or don’t have a pool or nice beach). That being said, Koh ngai isn’t for everyone so take in to account a few things- 1 there are no roads and very few shops, basically just the hotels, there isn’t even an atm machine on the island. 2 the beach faces east which means great sunrises but sunsets can be hit or miss compared to the west facing beaches. Swimming is a bit tricky, lots of rocks and coral and the tide swings are pretty big, but that does make it surprisingly good for snorkeling and there aren’t really any waves. Also last thing- thanya has a huge pond with about 12 Komodo dragons which is awesome.

Good little road-side hotel with a short walk to the beach.  Great service.  Friendly & helpful staff.  Very clean room.  Great service.  Stayed for only 1 night.  Hotel is located approximately in the middle of the island (north to south); rent a motorbike from the hotel and go explore Koh Lanta.

The house is clean, the bedding is comfortable, the boss is very attentive and considerate, and the recommendations are all good. The facilities need to be improved. There is no hair dryer or kettle. You have to ask for it before you can get it. It feels so strange. Is there a hair dryer for washing hair? Why bother? The deposit of 1,000 is also strange. I stayed in 6 hotels during the whole trip, and this is the only one that requires a deposit. It may be due to the peak season. I booked a room on Ctrip. 8 Chairman Mao tickets for one night are too expensive and do not match the facilities. I think 4 or 5 tickets are OK.

Great rooms. Really clean and spacious. Safe baby crib too. We stayed here for five nights- 5 minute walk to the beach to a restaurant. Great location if you have a scooter or like to stay in one location - a little far from the pier if you want to be where everything is happening. The rooms are really great though and the staff are lovely. New clean hotel. (Plus we were able to put the baby crib around the corner a little so she couldn’t see us when going to sleep.)

I stayed at the Tamarind Twin resort as a solo traveller for 4 nights and thought it was very good. The place is in a nice quiet location both close to the beach and restaurants and bars on the high street. The staff were very helpful and I booked all my trips and ferry journeys with them along with a scooter rental. The pool was nice for a dip after being at the beach and I could always get a sun lounger. I would have no hesitation booking this place again if I return to Koh Lanta.

Wonderful find. I spent hours trying to find rhe right place and I did. Rim Khao is a lovely little group of bungalows that back into the forest, but are conveniently on the main road and just a 10 minute walk from the beach. This is a brilliant place for a really good price. I spent hours watching the monkeys, ants, lizards, frogs, birds and butterflies that were very present. As I had no transport and only a walking budget, was limited where I went. But there was enough. The beach is beautiful for swimming and sunbathing. There is little shade, but if you walk to the end of the beach, theres a lot more shade there. If tou are happy to scramble the rocks, there is plenty of wildlife there too....fish, a billion crabs and brazen seabirds.there are plenty of restaurants, both local and tourist all just a stones throw away and the walking street is as good as any. The room was very quiet with air con and a fan that were efficient. The hot water was plentiful in the shower and cleaners were operating every day. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and English was really strong which of course is always appreciated , but never expected. The pool is more of a plunge pool, but thats all i personally ever need. You may consider it needs a bit of tlc, but it didnt bother me. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the road could barely be heard.just remember that the call to prayer can be heard almost everywhere. Oh, and a 7/eleven right next door. Amazing, and i hope to go back.

for the price i paid for this hotel I was disappointed from the room i was given! the AC was an OLD system ( no clicker), I was forced to turn it Off at night due the excessive noise and it was in the Room itself. shower pressure was very Weak/Slow. other than that, the Staff was very nice and responsive to any question. the Breakfast was ok, i just didn't understand why the coffee offered was an instant coffee (vs. the drip Thai coffee). No flip-flops, no small towels..

Very nice and quiet bungalow. It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere. You'll sleep with and wake up to the sounds of nature. The bungalows are well taken care of. Ada (the owner) is very friendly and helpful! The drive to Long Beach/downtown is a gorgeous drive and takes about 30 minutes.
